I intentionally made it difficult.
Any attempts to try and understand someone like me would prove to be a daunting task. And it showed.
Despite everything that happened so far–no matter if she had claimed to be someone who would not bite the hand of the one who feeds her, Rose's gut instinct reaction was to frown at me.
That was relieving.
"You... you just see us as mere containers of blood?" she asked.
"Hmm, would you not practice meditation if I said yes?" I smiled.
Rose sighed and turned her head away from me, closing her eyes and then letting out a deep breath.
"It does not matter. I am here to learn from you and I will not scrutinize whatever it is that you think of me and the princess–as long as you keep your word and do not harm us."
"Mmm… did I say that?"
Rose's eyes instantly opened and she gave me a look.
"You call yourself a Lord and you won't–no. You're just testing my nerves as usual."
