Chapter 28: Ten, Savon and the Naga

[Cahaya POV]

I currently am in the old Shishigumi base now officially a Naja property, mine to be more precise. It has been two weeks and a half since I met my grandfathers.

The building was in the middle of a renovation, and only nine-tenths of the building was unavailable. The horrid smell of lions has been removed and everything was thoroughly combed.

With this, I learned that Louis was bought by the Horns Conglomerate from the child trafficking market controlled by the Shishigumi.

The child might be an herbivore or carnivore it wouldn't change its purpose of becoming an extra young and fresh steak for the one who bought them. Louis's label was 4 and it is tattooed under his right foot, they weren't given names only numbers.

That means that he is the adopted son of Oguma, the current boss of the enterprise. He was probably bought and then adopted because Oguma is impotent or something and he wants an heir.

On another note, Louis is alive and hospitalized, he lost too many body parts for a rabbit that he wasn't even with anymore. I don't understand the reasoning behind his and Legoshi's actions, at least Legoshi wasn't alone. All suicidal.

He freaking attacked the Madaragumis alone and with only the gun he always has on his person. He is lucky that their base was nearly empty of their members and that they mostly played with him.

Ghabi my butler, the Arabian sand anaconda helped me a lot. He was getting the business of the Black Market back up but it will take some time before it becomes stable and improved.

And he was teaching me about the Naja in general for the moment and etiquette for posh animals.

I still don't understand how he has better penmanship than me. He doesn't even have arms! I know he uses a sort of metal prosthesis called Snake Hand that he attached at the tip of his tail but still.

I was trained by my Dad in penmanship since my first word as a hatchling. And he was at my Dad's level if only a little worse.

Though he was a very nice snake overall, he was very intelligent and competent even if his face made you think the contrary.

However, he was very, very loyal to the Naja, bordering on fanatical. I'm sure I could tell him to r@pe a hatchling and he will do it with a smile.

He did berate me for some of the things I did wrong, he was very strict.

I was coiling around a pillar chair, a piece of furniture in the shape of a pillar but with a cushion on it and it was heated for us cold-blooded species. I didn't know it existed until now, it is made especially for snakes and is only sold in four countries.

I uncoiled myself from it and slithered in front of my two guests. One was a 32 years old female red fox wearing a red Japanese dress with red high heels and an eye patch on her left eye.

She is Ten, the boss of the Inaragumis, one of the big fish of the Black Market. The group was exclusively composed of vixens and their objective was to change how males and society see them. That they weren't only whores. And she hates driving by their instincts.

On her right was Savon, his parents were special in their naming sense.

Savon is soap in French so he has a very unique name and it's also quite ironic for a venomous lizard. He was a gray scaled tall and muscular Komodo dragon and he was wearing a gas mask around his muzzle.

He is the boss of the Dokugumi composed entirely of Komodo dragons. And he seemed extremely stressed in my presence.

Especially how his eyes kept looking into my own and at my breast pocket as if he was reviewing all his life choices each time he met my gaze. But he still kept his cool.

"Hey calm down, I don't bite. We are fellow venomous animals and all civilized animals.", I joked, making Ten giggles and Savon chuckle nervously behind his mask. My gills flicked in amusement.

"The Madargumis' Boss didn't come? As expected to be honest. Anyway, my name is Cahaya Naja, 15 years old and I know you are curious about what actually I am. Well, I'm a hybrid from what? I won't tell you, though Savon-san you seem to have an inkling. You can call me the Naga.", I slowly slithered in front of the two, making myself equal to their height with my snake-half.

I was wearing a suit that was the same color as my eyes and with the Naja family crest on my breast pocket. It was a cobra eating its tail and with three coils. One was for Family, another was for Loyalty and the last was for Power.

The suit was annoying since it was clearly unadapted to my newly growing arms and overall growing body. My new set of arms was finally starting to have the general shape of arms but they were scaleless, the skin was transparent and they were half the size of my arms when I just hatched. So less than 10 centimeters (~4in).

Switching to the third person point of view.

"Stop playing with him. You're scaring the poor lizard boy.", the vixen playfully said, she did know of the danger of the hybrid in front of her, that's why she wasn't flirting, and sadly he was way too young for her, to boot.

She might be a criminal and a heartless bitch in the eyes of many, Japan's age of consent might be 13 but she had principles and rules she followed. He was three years too young.

Though, she still found him quite pleasing to the eyes, how the frills around his cheek slowly moved, his unique eyes, and his overall cute and innocent appearance.

The fact that he was a hybrid only added to that since they usually were malformed and ugly by her experience she only saw two in the flesh. She was still surprised by that fact though.

Savon nodded at her, he ignored the jab and started to talk.

"I'm Savon but you must already know this, same for Ten, here. And we profusely thank you for inviting us. We are honored to finally meet you.", his voice was muffled by the gas mask but everyone understood him nonetheless.

He then made a deep bow that was followed by Ten but she made a smaller one. Cahaya noticed the difference but didn't especially care.

"Now to the matter at heart. I want you to work for me, under me. It's only a suggestion, advice between me and you.", the hybrid said softly, his hood unfolded a little, the purple rotting skull on it showing. He took pleasure as he saw Savon's reaction.

Ten was going to protest but was stopped by the clawed hand of Savon on her shoulder, his gaze was more or less saying, 'Shut up.'

The 'want' was more of an order here, they entered the building alone, and they knew of the danger. It was death or they accepted and submitted themselves to him. The choice was rapidly made.

"Don't worry. I'm not a bad animal, well not the worst, you will still do what you are currently doing as the Dokugumis and Inaragumi but with one or two minor changes.", he explained. He then took two pieces of paper from his breast pocket and flicked the paper onto the table where they arrived in front of two Bosses.

The two took them and started to read. Both slightly frowned.

Savon was terrified of the Naja and Cahaya but he still had his pride as the Boss of the Dokugumis. That means that being the underlying of a 15 years old was not really something he liked but he was mentally prepared for it.

It was one of the best outcomes possible. Cahaya could have ordered with his family that they didn't need to exist anymore.

Ten was also unhappy and even infuriated about this, a 15 years old coming out of nowhere and telling you a hardened veteran what to do and what to not do.

She hoped it was the right choice she was making. The teen wanted to have total control of the Black Market. It was very ambitious, a bit too much in fact in her opinion.

They will be 'employees' of Cahaya and not their entire organization, though he will have access to their counts and they will not hide anything from him. He will still basically have total control.

They can ask for help and will be in alliance since the two will be under the hybrid.

The Komodo dragon and the red fox will not tell their members, at least for now. It was heavily recommended by the Naga in person.

They will continue their current activities, the news rule such as the banning of child trafficking, did not affect them. It was a practice they despised.

Cahaya didn't especially like this practice either, not the child eating part but how the parents abandoned/sold their kids fully knowing they will be eaten.

It was for him as if the one doing this were insulting his Dad and Mom and every other parent, he also had the same feeling about the one that abandoned their kids.

For him, they should all die most slowly and excruciatingly possible. Any reason or excuse they could give would be meaningless to him.

The punishment for breaking this rule is getting impaled, boiled alive, and other creative ways to die. The animals selling will also be punished the same way but with mental torture added to the mix.

They took notes of everything written and were already adjusting or completely changing their current and future plans in their heads. Both were still undecided about what they should think of Cahaya.

He was clearly not very sane nor was too much into morals and ethics, something that shouldn't be seen in someone his age.

They will wait and see while obeying his orders. Having a choice was something that both didn't have unless this choice was death.

If they betrayed him they will never see the light of the day again.
