5. No Smile

Michaella opened her eyes when she heard a noise from downstairs. Her eyes felt heavy with her body still feeling tired. No, it wasn't because of her eyes and body but rather focused on the small space inside that was reluctant to open anymore. Michaella really wanted to close herself and close her eyes so as not to see reality.

"Micha... Are you inside?"

Michaella who previously did not want to move turned towards the door. She heard a familiar voice ask with a non-stop pounding on the door. A heavy sigh was heard as she started to get up and walk closer. She opened the door and her body immediately received someone's warm embrace. Yes… Someone who was so close to her that he could be called a friend.

Araya Mixely. A twenty-one year old girl who has been Michaella's friend since childhood and has been studying together until now. Such a cheerful and beautiful girl is also so kind to Michaella. Only the girl cared about her this time, but Michaella still felt alone.

"Hey… are you okay, dear? You are okay? Please don't be sad."

Michaella froze without saying a word. Her eyes looked at Araya, only it looked empty. Araya who saw it couldn't stand it and tears just came out. Seeing Michaella's unsmiling face made her heart ache, especially with what happened to her friend's family. Michaella won't change right? Michaella will still be the Michaella she knows right?

Araya shook Michaella's body, but the girl remained the same and only lowered her face. As if she didn't want to see Araya who was right in front of her.

"Tell me you're okay, Michaella. I was really worried about you just so you know."

Michaella looked up again at Araya. The girl sobbed more and more with tears that kept seeping down. Makes Michaella try to cheer herself up to look okay, then smile a little. The two white hands moved upwards to wipe Araya's tears that continued to fall.

"Why are you crying, Aray? I'm here and don't cry."

Michaella's low and hoarse voice made Araya even shed tears. It wasn't that she didn't want to put on a fine face now, it was just that seeing and hearing Michaella's voice made her believe that she was strong enough to hide all her sadness in front of her. Even though she forced herself to calm down and tried to comfort Michaella, she was the one who cried even more for no reason. Michaella is very good at hiding it.

"You don't have to hide all your sadness from me, Micha. I will listen to all your complaints. Please don't hide anything from me."

Araya increasingly sobbed by what she said. She hugged Michaella again with all her complaints and also Michaella who was just silent. The girl's hand slowly embraced Araya's body, but her gaze remained blank. Her brain was thinking about Araya's words. What is she hiding? She doesn't hide anything from Araya and this is how she is. She just likes silence with serenity that grabs her attention. Yes… Just love it.

Araya let go of her arms and stopped crying. She looked back at Michaella who was just silent with her blank stare. Araya then looked around, seeing that the normally tidy room full of books now looked like a broken ship with dried blood marks forming the soles of the shoes. Araya took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. She looked again at Michaella, and it was the girl who also looked the other way in silence.

Araya entered Michaella's room. "You can't use all this stuff anymore, Michaella."

Michaella also turned around and looked around. In her heart he agreed with Araya's words, but her lips were still tightly shut. She was not the least bit interested in replying to Araya's words or asking questions. She prefers to be silent and watch for now even though she also doesn't know what will happen next.

Araya crouched down and picked up a torn book. She showed to Michaella. "You can't live like this. My house is still very empty if you want to be there. I'll take better care of you."

Michaela shook her head slowly. This made Araya even more unsure of what to do. The girl walked over to the study table. Picking up each piece of paper and putting it together in a box. She also organizes some that can still be read and items that can still be used. She looked at Michaela for a moment then took a deep breath. Michaella is sad and she is confused, but everything here is almost completely damaged.

Araya kept trying to clean slowly. Holding herself from crying because of the circumstances that befell her close friend. This room doesn't even look like a room anymore. It was more impressed as a completely unused warehouse. Araya really cares about Michaella and regrets that she just found out that this incident happened to Michaella. She really regretted it.

Michaella just silently watched Araya cleaning her room. She didn't care about his surroundings because her mind was still focused on one incident. The incident that destroyed all the beautiful hopes she had previously thought. An incident that made it seem as if she no longer wanted to feel the pleasures of life. The incident that took away all of her happiness. And that… Happened at a time she never expected.

"I'm going to order new furniture and all the books you've ever bought. At least if you can't stay home alone, I will stay here all day to accompany you, but I hope you have to leave all this behind. Living with a new atmosphere even though I know it won't be easy. I just hope this ends soon."

"I will never forget it."

Araya turned around after hearing Michaella's voice. She could see the girl's calm expression but not with the look in her eyes. There, so much sadness that can not be expressed and can only be held. Once again Araya admired her close friend. Michaella is a strong girl.

Araya approached. She cupped Michaella's face and smiled. "This girl really didn't live up to my expectations."

Michaella stared at Araya in silence. She wanted to cry right now. Wanted to poured out all her complaints to a close friend who really understood her situation. She wants to say what she feels and what she thinks. It's just that all of that can't be done easily. Her tears seemed to dry up even though the memories kept stomping firmly on her mind. She's going to hold on to it forever.

"You have eaten?"

Michaela shook her head. Araya nodded while showing a faint smile. "Wait here and I'll bring some food."

Araya looked around. Michaella's room was quite clean compared to before. After that she immediately left, leaving Michaella who still liked her silen. The girl also circulated her gaze. Moving just a little continued to make her feel guilty but she knew it wasn't like this so she wouldn't continue to meet her sadness. She had to get up but it hurt even more when her mind was only focused on what had happened.

Michaella had never felt this sad before. Her family members meant so much to her that he himself never imagined anything bad would happen to them. They are a good family. People who are so caring and loving, but bad luck actually happened. The events that she often saw in films could also happen in the real world, and it hit her family. Michaella regretted that she was a little fond of violent scenes in the world of cinema.
