By the big pine tree, the only thing that remained was the gentle rush of the wind and the sound of several pairs of feet stepping on the ground. Milos and the rest of the group finally made it to the big pine tree, and the first thing that he saw was the pool of blood on the ground. The blood was beginning to dry, but it was clear that there had been a fight here. Milos looked down to examine the ground and found that there were a one-horned tiger’s footprints along with another set of footprints that belonged to a human. Judging from these marks, it must have been a fight between a tiger-type beast and a human. If he had to guess, he would say that it was one of the five mages who were not with them.
“These marks are fresh. There’s someone here.”
Milos concluded from what he saw.
“Is something wrong?”
Maybelle saw that Milos seemed to be inspecting something and decided to ask.
“What? You think the beast you killed is going to be under a pile of leaves or something? Hahaha.”
