The call disconnected with a beep sound, accompanied by Valentina's hiss as she slammed her hand on the table.
"Proud bitch. She couldn't even say bye and wait for me to hang up first," she said, eyeing the phone. "Well, I won't blame her. I'm the stupid one for going to apologize in the first place."
