Comeback of the Century?

The episode starts with a flashback of the previous episode where Leaf is battling Samantha while the narrator is recapping it. "Before Leaf's battle began, Leaf felt very confident in her match against Samantha, thinking she could defeat her, but unfortunately for Leaf, she was already down to three Pokémon while Samantha still had all of her six Pokémon. Can Leaf somehow come back and win this league tournament battle? Find out right now!"

The title screen shows.

"Comeback of the Century?"

Leaf and Samantha are both holding a Poké Ball in their hands and staring down at each other. The crowd is loving the intensity between the two trainers.

"Leaf has lost three Pokémon yet Samantha hasn't lost one. Can Leaf come back from this?" Jessie questioned.

Professor Oak replies with a nod. "I have faith in my granddaughter, she never goes down without a fight."

Azurill starts nodding happily and cheering for Leaf with its cries. "Azurill! Azurill! Azurill!"

Domino immediately is filled with wonder and starts petting Azurill. "Even Azurill believes Leaf can turn this battle around!"

James chuckles. "Now that's adorable right there."

"If that Samantha girl loses, it will be known as one of the most famous choke jobs in history!" Meowth stated.

"I might be down, but I'm not out yet! Lapras, I choose you!" Leaf sends out Lapras next to battle.

Lapras materializes. "Laaa!"

Domino's eyes immediately turn into hearts once seeing Lapras. "It's Lapras! My second favorite Pokémon in the world!"

Jessie looks at Domino and raises an eyebrow. "I thought you were saying that Lapras was your number one favorite Pokémon in the world?"

"That was before my adorable Azurill came into my life." Domino smiles at Azurill and continues petting it.

Azurill looks back at its mother and smiles back. "Azurill!"

"Hitmonlee put more nails in this coffin in this already over battle! I choose you!" Samantha sends out Hitmonlee to face off against Lapras.

Hitmonlee materializes. "Hitmonlee!"

"Time to prevent your precious Hitmonlee from attacking! Lapras, use Sing!" Leaf commanded.

"Hitmonlee, use Detect!" Samantha countered.

Hitmonlee's eyes begin glowing blue before Lapras opens its mouth and begins singing to Hitmonlee. "La! La! La! Laaaaaaaa!" Hitmonlee shuts its eyes and goes to sleep.

"Now that your Hitmonlee is tired out, Lapras use Rain Dance!" Leaf commanded next.

Lapras looks up in the air and opens its mouth, shouting its cry out loud. "Laaaaaaa!" A few seconds passed, and Lapras summoned gray clouds to form over the battlefield, and it began pouring down rain.

Meowth sighs in relief. "Good thing I'm up here in the crowd where it is dry and not down at the battlefield this time!"

As Hitmonlee continues to sleep, Leaf takes the opportunity to command her next move. "Now use Hydro Pump, Lapras!"

Lapras opens its mouth and releases a jet of water from its mouth directly at Hitmonlee, however, to Lapras and Leaf's shock, Hitmonlee manages to move out of the way to dodge despite being asleep. "La?!" Lapras cries in confusion.

"How did Hitmonlee dodge my Hydro Pump?! Hitmonlee was asleep!" Leaf exclaimed.

"Remember when I told my Hitmonlee to use Detect earlier before your Lapras put it to sleep?" Samantha reminded Leaf. "Well, Detect allows the Pokémon user to dodge the next attack move no matter what! Even if it's put asleep!"

Leaf grits her teeth in frustration. "Just when I thought I had this round in the bag!"

Hitmonlee's eyes shot open, waking up. "Hitmonlee!"

"And look who is awake at the perfect time! Hitmonlee, use Mega Kick!" Samantha commanded.

One of Hitmonlee's feet starts glowing white while still in the air from jumping to avoid the Hydro Pump and then extends it, about to kick it.

"Dodge it, Lapras!" Leaf countered.

Lapras quickly withdraws into a ball and rolls out of the way to avoid the Mega Kick while Hitmonlee ends up hitting the ground with its glowing foot, fading away after coming into contact with it.

Leaf immediately commands her next move. "Hydro Pump, Lapras!"

"La!" Lapras opens its mouth and releases jets of water from it to Hitmonlee.

"Dodge it quick, Hitmonlee!" Samantha countered.

Hitmonlee slides to the right and then the left to avoid the jets of water coming after it, but soon gets hit by the Hydro Pump anyways as the two jets of water were just a distraction. "Hitmonlee!" Hitmonlee cries in extreme pain.

Leaf clutches her fist from being hyped. "That's it Lapras, nice distractions!"

Samantha grits her teeth and immediately commands her next move. "Now use Reversal!"

Hitmonlee starts converting the attack strength of the Hydro Pump, the kicking Pokémon turns it into fighting power with energy starting to surround one of Hitmonlee's arms. "Hitmonlee!" Hitmonlee starts dashing toward Lapras.

Leaf starts worrying about Hitmonlee's attack and tries to counter with a move. "Lapras don't let Hitmonlee hit you! Use Sing!"

Lapras quickly opens its mouth and starts singing. "La! La! Laaaaa!"

Hitmonlee's eyes start getting heavy but are still dashing towards Lapras and almost strikes the transporting Pokémon with its energetic arm, but Lapras' voice gets to the kicking Pokémon first and ends up falling asleep.

"WHAT?!" Samantha screamed out in shock.

"You better believe it! Lapras, use Hydro Pump!" Leaf commanded.

Lapras opens its mouth and releases jets of water right at the sleeping Hitmonlee, hitting and knocking the Pokémon out of the battle.

The referee holds up the red flag. "Hitmonlee is unable to battle! Therefore the winner of this round is the red corner!"

Jessie clutches her fist in excitement. "Leaf got one of Samantha's Pokémon knocked out!"

Professor Oak chuckles. "See? Never underestimate my granddaughter, although she's still got a long way to go before catching up."

"Hitmonlee, you useless Pokémon, return!" Samantha angrily recalls Hitmonlee back in its Poké Ball before pulling out a different one.

"Lapras, do you want to take a short break?" Leaf asked Lapras.

Lapras looks back at its trainer and nods. "La!"

"If you want to! Lapras, return!" Leaf recalls her Lapras as well, pulling out a different Poké Ball.

"You just got lucky this round, Leaf! The next one will be pure domination!" Samantha declared.

Leaf rolls her eyes in response. "Sure Samantha, sure…" she sarcastically responds.

"Lickitung, destroy her next Pokémon!" Samantha sends out Lickitung next on the battlefield.

Lickitung materializes. "Licki! Licki!"

"Venusaur, you're up next!" Leaf sends out Venusaur to battle against Lickitung.

Venusaur materializes. "Venusaur!"

Leaf commands the first move of the round. "Venusaur, use Razor Leaf!"

"Dodge it, Lickitung!" Samantha quickly counters.

Venusaur throws razor-sharp leaves from the back of its flower, but Lickitung tucks into a ball and rolls out of the way to dodge the Razor Leaf. Lickitung then proceeds to uncurl itself.

Samantha immediately commands her next move. "Now use Slam!"

"Licki! Licki!" Lickitung starts running towards Venusaur while sticking out its long tongue. The licking Pokémon proceeds to use its tongue to bounce itself in the air and slams its body onto Venusaur.

"Venusaur!" Venusaur cries in pain from getting slammed. The seed Pokémon tried to slap the Lickitung by one of its vines under its leaves, but Lickitung jumped out of the way to avoid it and landed on its side of the battlefield.

"Now use Leech Seed, Venusaur!" Leaf commanded.

A seed starts coming out on the top of Venusaur's big flower bulb and releases it right to Lickitung.

"Lickitung?!" To Lickitung's shock, the seed sprouts vines that tie up the licking Pokémon, and then its energy starts getting drained from said vines and Venusaur regains health back.

Samantha growls. "All that damage I did to your Venusaur is gone!"

Leaf smirks. "And any other damage that your poor Lickitung tries to do will just get its energy sucked more and Venusaur regains its health back. You can't do anything!"

"We will see about that!" Samantha proceeds to command her next move. "Lickitung, use Wrap!"

"Licki! Licki!" Lickitung extends its very long tongue and manages to wrap around the large Venusaur, despite Venusaur's large size.

"Venusaur?!" Venusaur cries out in confusion from Lickitung's long tongue ability to still wrap around Venusaur. "Venusaur!" Venusaur starts crying in pain from taking damage from the Wrap.

Leaf's eyes widened in surprise. "That's some long tongue…"

"You underestimate the capacity of Lickitung's long tongue!" Samantha replied. "And now your Venusaur can't use any moves until Wrap is finished!"

"You forgot about my Leech Seed, which drains Lickitung's energy which heals my Venusaur up!" Leaf reminded her.

The leaves on the vines wrapped around Lickitung start glowing red and sucking more energy from the licking Pokémon and Venusaur regains its health back, but that health immediately goes away as Lickitung's Wrap deals the damage right back. Both Pokémon start crying in pain. "Venusaur!" "Licki!"

Leaf starts talking inside her thoughts. "If I'm right here, every time Lickitung's Wrap deals damage to Venusaur, Leech Seed will regain the health from Lickitung's energy, so with nothing to heal Lickitung back, Venusaur should come on top after this cycle!"

The cycle continues, Venusaur gets damaged by Lickitung's Wrap, and Lickitung gets damaged by Venusaur's Leech Seed, healing the seed Pokémon in the process. With neither Pokémon can't use a move, Leaf and Samantha can only watch this happening. After a few seconds of both Pokémon slowly taking damage, Lickitung finally bites the dust by slowly falling to the ground and faints from the battle, unwrapping Venusaur with its tongue in the process.

The referee holds up the red flag, declaring the round. "Lickitung is unable to battle. The winner of this round goes to the red corner!"

Leaf looks at her Venusaur to make sure it's okay. "Are you okay, Venusaur?"

Venusaur looks back at its trainer and still looks ready to fight, now showing any signs of exhaustion at all. "Venusaur!"

Leaf smiles and nods back. "Alright, I'm keeping you in!"

"Leaf's Venusaur doesn't look tired at all even after taking damage from Lickitung's wraps!" Jessie exclaimed.

Professor Oak nods. "Leech Seed made sure Venusaur doesn't lose any energy by sucking up all of Lickitung's!"

"And now Samantha has two Pokémon down to the count. One more and this battle has officially been tied!" Domino exclaimed.

Azurill cries out happily and starts clapping. "Azurill!"

"Choke job incoming!" Meowth chuckles.

"I think Leaf might pull this off," James added.

Samantha starts getting frustrated and recalls Lickitung back in its Poké Ball. "Lickitung, return!" She pulls out a different one. "All of that Wrap damage and your Venusaur is still fighting?!"

"That's the power of Leech Seed right there! Like I said, Samantha, even down three Pokémon against six, the battle isn't over yet!" Leaf smirks.

"I will defeat you and that's final! Golbat, I choose you!" Samantha sends out her Golbat next to face off against Venusaur.

Golbat materializes and screeches towards Venusaur to sound imitating.

Leaf commands the first move of the round. "Razor Leaf, Venusaur!"

"Venusaur!" Venusaur starts throwing razor-sharp leaves directly to Golbat from its back.

"Dodge those leaves, Golbat, and use Wing Attack!" Samantha countered.

Golbat dodges every single razor-sharp leaf coming its way before one of the bat Pokémon's wings starts glowing white and dashing directly to Venusaur, striking the seed Pokémon.

"Use Vine Whip to prevent Golbat from flying!" Leaf commanded.

Two dark green vines come out from Venusaur's big flower, both vines wrapping around the two of Golbat's wings, preventing the bat Pokémon from flying. Golbat starts screeching from its wings being grabbed.

Leaf clutches her fist. "Now… use Solar Beam!"

"Venusaur!" Venusaur opens up its big flower and starts collecting sunlight to charge up its Solar Beam while still having a grip on Golbat from Vine Whip.

Samantha starts getting worried. "Golbat, get out of there now!"

Golbat proceeds to struggle, trying to get out the grasp of Venusaur from its vines, but it's no good as Golbat is still trapped with the seed Pokémon getting closer and closer to using Solar Beam.

Samantha commands one last effort to get out of the dark green vibes that her Golbat is stuck in. "Golbat, use your sharp teeth to cut through those vines and free yourself!"

Golbat hisses, bites down the two dark green vines, and manages to break through them, flying away immediately to dodge Venusaur's Solar Beam just barely.

Leaf grits her teeth from Golbat dodging. "Your Golbat was almost history!"

"Venusaur…" Venusaur starts taking deep breaths from using Solar Beam.

Samantha commands her next move. "Golbat, use Wing Attack!"

Golbat's wings begin glowing with the bat Pokémon dashing and striking Venusaur with its wings, dealing damage.

"Venusaur, use Razor Leaf!" Leaf commanded.

"Venusaur!" Venusaur starts throwing razor-sharp leaves right at Golbat in the air.

"Dodge and every single one of them, Golbat!" Samantha countered.

Golbat flies in every direction to dodge every razor-sharp leaf Venusaur throws at the bat Pokémon, but unfortunately one of the razor-sharp leaves gets Golbat right in the wing. The bat screeches in pain, slowly descending to the ground.

"No way!" Samantha grits her teeth in anger.

Golbat tries to fly, but its wing that just got struck by Razor Leaf prevents the bat Pokémon from doing so.

Samantha's eyes widened in shock from seeing Golbat not able to fly anymore. "My Golbat!"

Leaf clutches her fist in excitement. "Nice one, Venusaur! You got Golbat right in the wing!"

"Venusaur!" Venusaur cheers happily from getting praise from its trainer.

"Golbat can't fly anymore, which is how Golbat was able to dodge each Venusaur, but now since Golbat can't fly anymore, it's Venusaur's perfect opportunity to strike and win this round!" James explained.

Professor Oak nods. "Either Leaf got lucky that one of her razor-sharp leaves got Golbat in the wing, or that was her strategy from the beginning. Either way, now's the perfect opportunity to take advantage."

Jessie starts cheering for her rival. "Let's go Leaf! You got this, girl!"

Azurill starts joining in the cheer with Jessie. "Azurill! Azurill, Azurill!"

Domino pets Azurill with a smile. "You're cheering alongside Jessie? That's so adorable!"

Meowth rolls her eyes. "Yes, so adorable…" He sarcastically says.

Leaf commands her next move. "Use Vine Whip to grab Golbat!"

"Venusaur!" Venusaur extends its two dark green vines from the leaves on its back, wrapping around and grabbing Golbat as the bat Pokémon hisses and starts struggling to get out.

Samantha tries the same strategy that Golbat got out of Vine Whip from before. "Just like before, Golbat, bite your way through those vines and free yourself!"

Golbat tries to bite Venusaur's two dark green vines to free itself, but it is no good this time as the dark green vines do not let go nor break. Golbat proceeds to cry in confusion and starts struggling some more to try to get out of the grasp.

"How?!" Samantha yelled out in disbelief and confusion. "Last time that strategy worked!"

Leaf smirks. "It's because your Golbat is now on the ground and not in the air! This makes Venusaur's Vine Whip have a more strong and effective grasp on your Golbat! Venusaur, end this with Solar Beam!"

Venusaur opens its big flower, starts glowing, and collects sunlight in it to charge up its Solar Beam. Golbat starts panicking and starts struggling more to get out, but it is no good as the seed Pokémon starts gathering more and more sunlight until Venusaur blasts a white beam of energy right at Golbat, hitting and instantly knocking out the bat Pokémon.

The referee holds up the red flag. "Golbat is unable to battle! Which means the winner of this round is Venusaur!"

"Leaf was able to come back and tie things up! You were right, Professor Oak!" Jessie starts getting hyped and cheers for her rival some more.

Professor Oak chuckles, rubbing the back of his head. "Never doubt your granddaughter, that's what I always say."

Samantha starts panicking from the fact that Leaf came back to tie. She starts asking questions from being in disbelief. "What is happening?! What happened to my dominance in the first half?!"

"I can answer that!" Lead responded. "You believed that you could just sweep through my entire team and score an easy victory, you got too confident in yourself and now you're paying the price, Samantha!"

Samantha glares right at Leaf before recalling her Golbat back to its Poké Ball. "Golbat, return!" She pulls out Mr. Mime's Poké Ball. "Let's see you take care of this one! Mr. Mime, I choose you!" Samantha sends out Mr. Mine to battle against the Venusaur now.

Mr. Mime materializes. "Mr. Mime!"

Leaf commands the first move of the round once more. "Use Razor Leaf, Venusaur!"

"Venusaur!" Venusaur starts throwing razor-sharp leaves directly to Mr. Mime from the leaves on its back.

"Dodge them, Mr. Mime!" Samantha countered.

Mr. Mime teleports out of the way to avoid every razor-sharp leaf coming to them.

"Now use Encore!" Samantha commanded.

"Mr. Mime! Mr. Mime! Mr. Mime!" Mr. Mime starts clapping for Venusaur cheerfully, causing the seed Pokémon to blush from embarrassment.

Leaf looks frustrated and starts talking in her thoughts. "Venusaur is stuck in Razor Leaf for some turns, but at least it's a damaging move this time." She's forced to command the same move from before. "Razor Leaf!"

Venusaur starts throwing more razor-sharp leaves directly toward Mr. Mime from its back.

"Once more Mr. Mime, dodge and avoid those leaves!" Samantha countered.

Mr. Mime does the same strategy and teleports out of the way to dodge every razor-sharp leaf.

Samantha immediately commands her next move. "Now use Psybeam, Mr. Mime!"

Mr. Mime extends its pointer finger to Venusaur, forming a finger gun and pretending to shoot a gun by shooting a multicolor beam of energy toward the seed Pokémon.

"Venusaur!" Venusaur cries out in pain and drops to the ground, fainting.

The referee holds up the green flag. "Venusaur is unable to battle. The winner of this round goes to the green corner!"

Samantha starts smirking and talking inside her thoughts. "I'm back in the lead now, two Pokémon left and the first Giovanni beater is down for!"

"You did great, Venusaur! Please take all the time you need for a great rest!" Leaf recalls Venusaur back in its Poké Ball before pulling out Lapras' Poké Ball. "Lapras, you're back in the battle!" She sends out Lapras to battle against Mr. Mime.

Lapras materializes. "La!"

Domino's eyes get turned into hearts again upon seeing Lapras. "Lapras is back in the battle! Let's go Lapras, let's go!" She starts clapping as a chant.

The rest of the gang starts blushing in embarrassment from Domino's chanting and cheering. "Please make it stop…" Jessie says.

Samantha commands the first move of the round. "Mr. Mime, use Psybeam!"

"Mr. Mime!" Mr. Mime shoots a multicolor beam of energy directly to Lapras from its index finger, dealing damage as Lapras screams out in pain.

"Lapras, use Sing and put Mr. Mime to sleep!" Leaf commanded.

Lapras opens its mouth and begins singing loudly. "La! La! Laaaaa!"

"Mr. Mime, close your ears with your hands to block out sound, avoid falling asleep!" Samantha countered.

Mr. Mime quickly covers their ears to block out the noise from Lapras' singing and it works as the barrier Pokémon dodges and avoids falling asleep.

Samantha smirks. "Now use Encore!"

Leaf immediately screams out in panic. "NO!"

Mr. Mime begins clapping and giving a round of applause for Lapras. "Mr. Mime! Mr. Mime! Mr. Mime!" Causing the transportation Pokémon to blush.

Leaf growls in anger. "That move is so annoying! Lapras, use Sing!"

"You know what to do, Mr. Mime!" Leaf countered.

Lapras opens its mouth and starts singing again. "La! La! Laaaaaaa! La! La! La! La!" But Mr. Mime was covering their ears, blocking the noise and staying awake.

"Mr. Mime, use Meditate while still closing your ears!" Samantha commanded.

Mr. Mine sits down on the ground and begins meditating, their aura glowing pink. "Mr. Miiiiiiime." While still having their ears closed, boosting their attack.

Leaf is still gritting her teeth, having no choice but to use the same move again. "Sing."

Lapras continues with its singing. "La! La! Laaaaa! La! La! La!" But Mr. Mime's ears are still closed, so they don't fall asleep and stay awake.

"Keep meditating and boosting your attack, Mr. Mime!" Samantha commanded.

Mr. Mime continues meditating, their aura glowing pink once more and boosting up their attack once more. "Mr. Miiiiiiime."

Lapras continues with its singing. "La! La! Laaaa! La! La!"

"This battle just turned into karaoke with Lapras…" Meowth says with an annoyed look.

"That's the power of Encore." Professor Oak responded. "Your Pokémon must use the previous move commanded over and over for a few turns."

"When is it going to end?" Jessie questioned.

Dominic has her eyes closed and smiling, listening to Lapras' voice, and so does Azurill in her arms. "I don't know why you guys are complaining. Lapras' voice is so beautiful."

James groans. "Oh brother…"

Leaf starts thinking of a strategy inside her thoughts. "There has to be a way to get Mr. Mime to uncover their ears…" She then comes up with an idea. "It's worth a try." Leaf starts to commence her strategy out loud. "Hey Mr. Mime, can you uncover your ears for a little bit? I just want to tell you how much of a great Pokémon you are!"

Samantha looks at her Mr. Mime. "Don't believe it. It's a trap!"

Leaf continues her strategy. "Come on, Mr. Mime, don't you want to hear how much of an awesome Pokémon you are?"

The look on Mr. Mime's face shows that they're struggling to keep their ears closed as Samantha immediately notices this and starts getting angry. "You idiot! Do you know it's a trap?! Do not open your ears!" She turns her attention to Leaf. "If you want to compliment Mr. Mime so much then do it while their ears are closed!"

Leaf starts smirking. "Mr. Mime, I know you want to hear those compliments so loud and clearly. I got a lot of them because I know how much hard work you put in being Samantha's trainer!"

Mr. Mime starts having some flashbacks of their trainer, Samantha, insulting and abusing them, while their eyes and ears are closed.

The first incident was on Route 22. "You stupid Pokémon! No Pokémon is going to be flattered with an Encore like that! Try it again!" The Second incident was inside Victory Road. "You call yourself a psychic Pokémon with a meditate like that?" Samantha slaps Mr. Mime across the face, hitting them with the barrier Pokémon screaming in pain. "Meditate more focused!" The third and final incident was inside their hotel room. "Terrible day of training for you! You're such a worthless Pokémon to me!" Samantha kicks Mr. Mime right in the face and the barrier Pokémon falls right to the floor in pain.

Back to the present, Mr. Mime sheds a tear before remembering Leaf's compliments she offered and opens their eyes and ears. "Mr. Mime!"

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Samantha screamed out.

Leaf immediately commands her Lapras. "Now, Lapras!"

Lapras starts singing again. "La! La! Laaaaaa! La! La!"

Mr. Mime starts feeling woozy. Mr… Mime…" The barrier Pokémon drops to the ground and falls asleep.

Samantha growls at her sleeping Mr. Mime. "I can't believe you fell for a dumb move like that!"

Leaf clutches her fist. "Now use Rain Dance, Lapras!"

Lapras looks up in the air, opens its mouth, and starts shouting up in the sky. "Laaaaaaa!" A few seconds later, gray clouds begin to form around the battlefield and Lapras' shout causes the battlefield to rain.

With Mr. Mime still sleeping, Leaf immediately commands her next move. "Use Hydro Pump!"

Lapras opens its mouth and a jet stream of water comes out and fires directly at Mr. Mime, hitting and knocking out the barrier Pokémon from the battle.

The referee holds up the red flag. "Mr. Mime is unable to battle. The winner of this round goes to the red corner!"

"Mr. Mime, return!" Samantha recalls her Mr. Mime, looking at the Poké Ball in disgust. "Stupid and worthless Pokémon you are." She says quietly, before pulling out Poliwrath's Poké Ball. "Poliwrath, you're up!" Samantha sends out Poliwrath to battle against Lapras.

Poliwrath materializes. "Poliwrath!"

"Time to use your Rain Dance as an advantage!" Samantha exclaimed with determination. "Poliwrath, use Hydro Pump!"

"I don't think so! Lapras, use Hydro Pump too!" Leaf countered.

Lapras opens its mouth and releases more jet streams of water. The swirl on Poliwrath's stomach glows light purple and then it also releases a powerful stream of water, right in the middle. Both Pokémon's Hydro Pumps collide in the middle of the battlefield as this just turned into a tug of war with Lapras' Hydro Pump moving close to Poliwrath and then Poliwrath's Hydro Pump moving back to the center and now close to Lapras.

"Look at both of Pokémon's Hydro Pumps! It's like some tug of war!" Jessie exclaimed with excitement.

Domino continues cheering for Lapras some more. "Come on Lapras, I know you have the stronger Hydro Pump!"

Azurill claps in excitement, cheering along with its cry. "Azurill! Azurill!"

Meowth whispers to James. "You know, you think she would have a Lapras by now because of how much she loves them." This caused James to nod in agreement with his statement.

Both Lapras and Poliwrath keep releasing jet streams of water at each other, with no signs of exhaustion, until now. Lapras starts getting more exhausted as Poliwhirl's Hydro Pump keeps getting closer and closer to the transport Pokémon.

Leaf notices this and tries to hype Lapras up. "Come on Lapras, you can do it! Keep using Hydro Pump with all the power you got!"

Leaf's pep talk worked as Lapras started getting an adrenaline rush and continued using Hydro Pump with all of its might as the transport Pokémon was now pushing the stream of water near Poliwrath with the tadpole Pokémon showing signs of exhaustion now.

Samantha also notices this and tries to do what Leaf did, pep talking to Poliwrath. "Poliwrath, don't you dare give up on me! I am your trainer and take care of Lapras!" She points directly at Lapras.

Poliwrath manages to use all of its power and energy, forcing the jet stream of water back into the middle again. Lapras couldn't take it anymore because of how exhausted they had become and then Poliwrath's Hydro Pump got near and near, and then it finally hit Lapras, immediately knocking the transportation Pokémon out of the battle.

The referee holds up the green flag. "Lapras is unable to battle! The winner of this round is the green corner!"

Then Poliwrath drops down to the ground from exhaustion, completely knocking itself out from the battle.

"Poliwrath! Don't you dare do this to me!" Samantha shouted in disbelief.

Then the referee proceeds to hold up the red flag. "And now Poliwrath is unable to battle! The winner of this very short round is the red corner!"

After both Pokémon fainted, it stopped raining and the gray clouds above the battlefield disappeared. Leaf and Samantha both recall their Pokémon back in their Poké Balls. "Lapras, return!" "Poliwrath, return!" And both pull out their last Pokémon.

"It comes down to this. Whoever wins this round will officially advance to the top four." James stated.

"It's still amazing how Leaf managed to come back despite being down three rounds. Maybe I should train more of my Pokémon if she wins." Jessie says.

Meowth groans from Jessie mentioning training more. "Just great…"

Domino sighs. "I'm still in disbelief that Lapras didn't win that Hydro Pump off…"

Leaf looks at her Poké Ball. "Alright, you're all that I got. I know you can do this! Eevee, I choose you!" She sends out her final Pokémon onto the battlefield.

Eevee materializes. "Eevee!"

"Alright Persian, I'm counting on you!" Samantha sends out her final Pokémon as well.

Persian materializes. "Persian!"

Meowth immediately starts booing in the crowd at the sight of Persian. "Boo! You suck, Persian!"

Jessie immediately covers Meowth's mouth and shushes him up. "Shh! Be quiet, Meowth!"

"My Eevee is going to prevail and I'm going to move on, Samantha!" Leaf declared.

Samantha stares directly at Leaf with a very serious expression. "You have no idea how strong my Persian is, Leaf…" She says with a serious tone.

Leaf raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean? Whatever! Eevee, use Take Down!"

"Eevee!" Eevee starts charging at Persian at a very high speed.

"Use Slash, Persian!" Samantha countered.

Despite Eevee's fast speed, the Persian side jumps to dodge it and then its claws glow sharply white, slashing Eevee down with full force.

"EEVEE!" Eevee cries in so much pain, immediately falling to the ground.

Leaf's eyes widened in shock to see Eevee already on the ground after one move from Persian. "Wh-what?!"

Samantha immediately commands her next move. "Now use Iron Tail!"

"Persian!" Persian's tail becomes metallic, hitting and swatting Eevee away to its side of the battlefield, dealing even bigger damage.

Leaf looks at her Eevee on the ground and is immediately concerned. "Eevee are you okay?!"

Eevee slowly gets back up on its feet, looking back at its trainer, and nods in response. "Eevee."

Leaf nods back. "Good. Now use Sand Attack!"

Eevee turns around and kicks dirt at Persian with its hind legs, almost blinding the classy cat Pokémon. "Persian!" Persian cries in pain from the sand.

"That dirt doesn't hurt you, use Slash!" Samantha commanded.

Persian's claws start glowing sharply white again, dashing at Eevee and trying to slash the evolution Pokémon, but Eevee side jumps to avoid the move.

Leaf clutches her fist in excitement. "Nice dodging Eevee! Use Tackle!"

"Eevee!" Eevee dashes straight at Persian and tackles the classy cat Pokémon.

"Persian!" Persian cries in pain.

Samantha immediately shouts a counter with just one word. "Now!"

While being tackled, Persian slashes Eevee right in the back with so much force, causing the evolution Pokémon to shout in so much pain and fall back to the ground. Eevee starts to slowly get up.

Now it was Samantha's turn to clutch her fist with so much determination. "Now use Fury Swipes and put an end to this battle!"

Persian will not let Eevee get up as the classy cat pounces on top of the evolution Pokémon and starts hammering Eevee with scratches over and over, not stopping at all, while Persian is on top of Eevee's body with force. Eevee continues crying in pain with each scratch, also not able to get up as well and is stuck lying on the ground.

"EEVEE!" Leaf cries out from experiencing her Eevee in so much pain.

Persian continues scratching Eevee over and over. Blood begins to show right on Eevee's face as Samantha's Persian continues scratching with its sharp claws.

The gang and Professor Oak all gasped at the sight of blood on Eevee. "Can that Persian stop?! Eevee is bleeding!" Jessie exclaimed.

"This is bad… this is indeed bad," James says.

Domino has an angry look on her face. "What a cruel Pokémon!"

"What a cruel trainer," Meowth added.

Professor Oak looks over at Leaf. "Leaf looks like she's going to do something."

Once Leaf saw blood, that was her breaking point. She immediately rushed to the field at full speed. "THAT'S ENOUGH YOU STUPID FELINE!" Leaf shoves Persian off of Eevee and grabs them, holding her Eevee tightly in her arms. Persian hisses at her and Leaf sticks her tongue out in response. "I'm not afraid of you!"

"Hey! That's interference! Samantha looks at the referee. "Call the match in my favor, right now! She's disqualified from the competition!"

The referee looks scared, but they call the match anyway, holding up the green flag. "Due to interference in the league battle, Leaf has been disqualified and therefore the winner of this battle and moving on to the top four is the red corner, Samantha!"

Leaf doesn't care because she immediately exits the stadium while holding onto her Eevee tightly. The gang and Professor Oak all look at each other, nodding and leaving the crowd and soon the stadium as well.

The scene cuts to the Pokémon Center with Leaf sitting down on a sofa and looking very worried. The double doors opened and it was the gang and Professor Oak. "Is everything alright, Leaf?!" Jessie immediately asked.

Leaf nods in response. "Yeah, everything is okay. Nurse Joy said so, she took Eevee to the back and is just going to bandage them up to stop the bleeding."

"I just can't believe Samantha's Persian would go that far!" Domino said in disbelief.

Meowth crosses his arms. "What did I say before? Those Persians should never be trusted."

"More like I was right about Samantha. She never could've been trusted." Leaf starts to grit her teeth in anger. "That stupid dumb blonde bitch!"

"Leaf!" Professor Oak shouted. "Watch your language when you're around me."

Leaf apologizes. "Sorry gramps. I'm just a little mad, that's all."

"Although, you are right. Something is off about that particular trainer indeed." Professor Oak starts to think.

"Especially the way they acted during battle," James added.

Leaf looks at Jessie. "Jessie, can you do some for me?"

Jessie immediately nods in response. "Of course, Leaf. What is it?"

Leaf tells her the favor. "If you end up facing Samantha in the future, I want you to avenge me and what her Persian did to my Eevee. Beat her in the league tournament and prevent Samantha from winning at all costs! Can you do that, Jessie?"

Jessie stares at Leaf before putting on a serious look and she nods. "I will Leaf, I will do that."

"Thank you so much." Leaf hugs Jessie. Jessie pauses a moment in shock from receiving a hug from her rival but she hugs back and smiles.

Nurse Joy walks in, holding Leaf's Eevee, causing Leaf to break up the hug with Jessie. Eevee is bandaged across the face from the scratch marks it received. "Here is your Eevee, Leaf. I stopped the bleeding and patched them up nicely. It's best to leave the bandages on for about three days before taking it off." Nurse Joy said.

"Eevee!" Eevee cries out cheerfully and jumps into Leaf's arms.

Leaf smiles in delight, catches Eevee, and immediately hugs the evolution Pokémon. "Eevee! I'm so glad you're okay!"

Eevee leans on their trainer's chest and smiles. "Eevee!"

Nurse Joy hands Leaf some pain pills. "Here. Just in case the scratch marks start hurting on Eevee's face, you can have them take these pain pills and the pain should stop immediately."

Leaf nods and accepts the pain pills from Nurse Joy. "Thank you so much, Nurse Joy!"

"So now that you're out of the league, Leaf, what are you going to do now?" Domino asked.

Leaf thinks for a little bit before answering. "I guess there's nothing else for me to go to except going to Johto!"

The gang all gasped in shock at what Leaf just said. "JOHTO?!" They all said together.

While Professor Oak just nods. "Yes, Johto, even though you're going to be far away from home, I believe this is the right decision."

"Thanks, gramps." Leaf chuckles, rubbing the back of her head. "Yeah, I'll be on my way right now and heading to Johto! I always want to explore a new region and see new Pokémon!"

James turns to Jessie. "You know Jessie, after this league tournament is all over, we should head over to Johto too!"

Jessie raises her eyebrow. "You mean after I become champion, right…?

James blushes in embarrassment and rubs the back of his head, chuckling. "Right. Right. Sorry."

"Well, I think it sounds like a great idea!" Jessie pumps up her fist. "New region and potential Pokémon I haven't seen yet!"

The P.A. announcements turn on. "The remaining four trainers in the Kanto League Tournament, please head down to the central building as the top eight matchups have all been concluded! Thank you!"

"Jessie, I'm going to go back to the hotel. Good luck to whoever you're facing!" Domino waves goodbye and so does Azurill as they leave the Pokémon Center.

"I'll be heading back too, what Domino said!" James also leaves the Pokémon Center, waving goodbye too.

"Okay, see ya guys!" Jessie waves goodbye back to her friends, before turning to Professor Oak and Leaf. "I'd best get going and find out who my top four opponent is. Bye Professor Oak and bye Leaf, I wish a speedy recovery for Eevee!"

Professor Oak waves goodbye to Jessie. "Bye, Jessie!"

Leaf also waves goodbye to Jessie too. "Bye Jessie and thank you so much!"

Jessie turns to Meowth. "Ready, Meowth?"

Meowth nods in response. "Ready as ever!"

As Jessie and Meowth both leave the Pokémon Center, it cuts to the two arriving at the central building. Jessie looks around and sees the other two trainers in the top four and recognizes one of them as she squints her eyes. "Is that…"

"Is that what, Jess?" Meowth questioned.

Jessie points at the trainer. "Look, it's that Dragonite trainer that saved you from Team Rocket, remember?"

Meowth looks to where Jessie is pointing and he also recognizes him. "Oh yeah, now I remember! Wow, he also made it this far too?"

Jessie walks up to the Dragonite trainer. "Hey! I never got to say this, but I want to say thank you for saving my Meowth a couple of days ago if you don't remember."

The Dragonite trainer looks to where the voice is coming from. "Huh?" He also recognizes Jessie. "No way! You're in here too, kid? I never thought you would make it this far."

"Some people do say I am full of surprises." Jessie chuckles.

"Could've fooled me!" The Dragonite trainer chuckles. "Oh, and it's no big deal. My name's Lawson. What's yours?"

"My name is Jessie! Good luck in the top four, Lawson!" Jessie extends a handshake.

Lawson gladly accepts the handshake and shakes her hand. "Good luck to you too, Jessie!"

The registration lady announces the top four matchups. "Okay everyone, the top four matchups are about to appear on the screen, please pay attention!"

Jessie, Lawson, and the other trainer pay attention to the screen and then the top four matchups appear. Jessie sees that she will be facing Samantha in the top four. "Samantha…" she says.

"Where is that blonde cheerleader anyway? I would hide too from the last battle if I was in her shoes." Meowth chuckles.

"It doesn't matter, Meowth. What matters is that we have to be prepared for our battle to avenge Leaf and her Eevee. Let's start training to the end and give it everything we got!" Jessie pumps her fist up.

Meowth nods in agreement, also pumping his fist up with her. "Let's do it!"

The scene cuts to Leaf arriving at the exit of the Indigo Plateau while holding onto her bandaged Eevee. "Are you ready for a new adventure, Eevee?"

Eevee nods in excitement. "Eevee!"

But before Leaf could take one step out of the Indigo Plateau, she heard a familiar voice call out a move. "Persian, use Hypnosis!"

Persian jumps out in front of Leaf and its red gem starts glowing. "Persian!"

"Persian?!" Leaf looks to see Samantha arriving behind her Persian as her eyes start getting heavy. "Sa…man…tha.." She drops to the ground unconscious and it cuts to Leaf waking up, tied up to a chair, and in a mysterious room. "What the hell?! Where the hell am I?!"

"Oh great, we finally get more company and it's this twerp…" Cassidy says with a groan.

Leaf looks to see Team Rocket is there and is tied up in chairs with her. "Team Rocket?! Okay, what is going on?!"

"You've been kidnapped, genius," Butch answered.

"By that blonde cheerleader brat. So sit back and watch the show!" Mondo chuckles.

Leaf starts struggling, trying to get out of the chair she's tied up to, but it's no good at all. "Someone! Help me! Jessie! Professor Oak! Someone, please!"
