Annual Rebirths to End the Empire

"I didn't want things to end like this." She said, looking around. The empire she had tried so hard to protect was destroyed. Plagues, cross-empire wars, nothing was left. She clenched her fists, nails digging into skin. Drawing blood. Suddenly, her head jolted up as voices echoed. Whispering in her ear. Temping. "Your curse is to undo what was written on paper. Nothing more, nothing less." She smiled. Yes, the curse. The curse would save her. "So send me back. Give me Endless rebirths. Until I get it right." ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k ~~~~ *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - UPDATES RANDOMLY (deal with it, suckers!) CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX - She never thought she would beat someone up in a back alley, but, you know, times change.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX - She never thought she would beat someone up in a back alley, but, you know, times change.

We turned to go down a back alley. It was much less crowded than the main streets, and soon I found it was for a reason. Me and Asa had *accidentally* walked straight into a group of thugs.

"Uhm. oops. I'll just turn around-" I said, taking in the smudged boots, cigarettes, and knives. Suddenly, I was yanked back by the hair. (??? Cordelia, is that you?) One of the things leered at me, but, a minute later, let out a yelp as he was smalled against a wall. I barely had time to blink. Another thug was about to cut Asa's already-wounded shoulder with a knife.

Without thinking, I grabbed a brick and chucked it at the thug's head. Asa spun around and landed that other thung with a roundhouse kick, and his shoulder was safe (even though it was technically already bleeding). The rest scampered away, a few dropping cigarettes in surprise. Ooh, I never imagined I would beat someone up in a back alley. One more thing to cross off my list, I guess.
