< Few days backward, during Xiang Monji's arrival in Maven City timeline. PART II >
After Harat's report ended. Fiao Min hand over a letter to Harat, which address to the leader of the assassin guild.
Harat didn't knew the content, but he could narrowly guest that it has something to do with Jiao Min's culprit and Laura.
When the letter is on his hand, he suddenly vanished without a trace.
Harat immediately went back to their headquarters with a letter on his hand.
With his dissapearance, Fiao Min visit on his son's room without a second thought.
Upon opening the door, he saw his son laying on the bed,while tended by a physician and covered with several bandages.
"Doctor, how is my son's condition?"
"The good news or the bad news?"
"The good news"
"Your son is alive and can live several more years to come"
He remain neutral with his expression.
"Then the bad news?"
His eyebrows drawing to the center, implying that he isn't in the mood to listen.
"Your son is crippled and can no longer cultivate, and his manhood was brutally dissected from his body."
Without a warning, Fiao Min release his killing intent, a thick golden aura emit out on his body. His face can clearly manifested that he is enrage.
And due to the sinister aura that Fiao Min release, the physician sweat alot in fear looking at him, while his shaken legs were weaken that he stumble on the ground.
With his stream of overwhelming outrage at his peak, he order the military enforcer to lockdown all the gates from the city without the consent of his brother, the city lord.
The mayor himself, didn't bother how his brother Fiao Min putting the city into lockdown.
Soon lock down happen, with the influence of Fiao Min he declared martial law in the city, and the city lord himself can't do anything to reprimand or intervene his older brother's whim.
The governor of Yami province was silent and the nobles remain meek as if they can't voice out their complain. Futhermore, they can't do anything towards an elite family which had an ancestor at the peak of Martial Grand Master.
(Note that each great families has one powerhouse, either it's their ancestor, elders or the family head Himself. The Min Clan is backed by their ancestor at the peak of Martial Grand Master.)
In just a few hours a rumour spread like a wildfire.

Tries to calm down his comrade due to the recent happening in the city.

[mob cultivator C] "What are you laughing at? Are you mocking me? Spit it out, you fucking piece of shit!" slams the table from frustration.
People around weren't bothered, they understood where his anger was rooted from.
[ mob cultivator B] " If you have nothing good to say, then you keep your mouth shut" /uptight/
[ mob cultivator A] " no..no...no, this is a very significant humor that I heard from an employee inside the Min merchant clan.
Their was a saying that the *successor of the Min clan became a *eunuch, and became crippled. Much worst his *fiancee elope with *another guy which is still unidentified.

The rumor stated above, "some" are falsified to make the victim pitiful.
for instance; "Laura elope with Xiang Monji"
To begin with, Laura is not the fiancee of Jiao Min. Jiao Min took a liking to Laura and began to claim that Laura is his, and dare to threaten other suiters not to touch his woman with his family background.
With the rumor that his friend spout about, they analyze and put all the puzzle pieces together.
They conclude that the woman and the unidentified person is still in the city, Laura is well known in the city as the fiancee of Jiao Min, all the civillians knew about it and there wasn't even a record yet that she still exited in the city. Therefore the source of the lockdown and martial law is still lurking in the city.
While they are talking in the dining table on the first floor. Security force were roaming from one place to another, five of them went to the inn and check every nook and cranny from first to second floor, while some lodgers where caught having a sexual activity on their personal room in the second floor of the inn on the middle of broad daylight.
[mob cultivator B] "sigh, how long will this lockdown in this city last?"
[mob cultivator C] "Beats me."
On the same timeline Xiang Monji, Laura and his vassals are no longer residing in Ming City.
And at this moment Xiang Monji has been on the platform introducing himself as the newly appointed city lord, while his vassals are around him and Laura is still unconcious.
(Clarification: Chapter 26 and chapter 75 has a same and one timeline. Both happen simultaneously. )
