49. Sphere & Cloak

I had a few more hours until everyone woke up, so I got out of bed, got dressed and turned into the Two-Tails and teleported to the Cave.

First of all, when I arrived at my laboratory, I got the core of the spaceship.

In 45 minutes, I completely fixed it using the parts which I borrowed from the Forever Knights.

After completing the repair of the core using telekinesis, after all, this thing is not easy. I took it to the warehouse and put it with the first core. Let them lie together for a while, then I will connect them.

In order not to go far later, I immediately went to the hangar and took out Vilgax's Sphere.

Having finished all objective, the clone in the form of an Upgrade returned and I dispelled it. I recently learned how to do this without my becoming a Ditto.

Previously, in order to dispel a clone, me and the clone needed to turn into Ditto. And then, I would dispel the clone and become human again. This is quite a long time.

Now, I can dispel the clone even if I'm in human form. I don't know why, but I feel better. I would also like to learn how to create clones faster, it would be great.

Pushing those thoughts aside, I ordered Morgana to open the Sphere.

The capsule split in the middle and a cabin appeared inside. Opening the door, I climbed inside and sat in a chair.

And the chair is comfortable. Vilgax seems to like comfort. And most importantly, it is adjustable and I can sit comfortably in it, despite the fact that I am several times smaller than Vilgax.

After closing the door, I looked at the interface. Everything here used to be in shades of red, but now, thanks to Morgana and my obsession with blue, everything burns with different shades of blue.

Of course, the most important thing was a large round screen that covered the inside of the cabin.

It looks like there are small cameras all over the surface of the ball. And they are well hidden and protected. So, I don't have to worry about visibility, I have a 360-degree view.

Management is handled by Morgana, but just in case, I learned how to manage the Sphere without the help of Morgana.

The controls are quite light, somewhat similar to my Quinjet, but a little lighter.

Of the weapons in this sphere, there are two laser cannons. Also, can shoot with a special energy web, it is not very powerful, but it can delay for a minute, although it all depends on the alien.

Plus, can push special weapons from the sides of the Sphere that shoot 10 cm spikes. It's dangerous enough.

Well, the last weapon is external spikes. They are almost thirty centimeters long and, if necessary, they can be shot.

After finishing the check, I climbed out of the Sphere. Before I test it, I want to do something.

Turning into an XLR8, I ran out of the lab and ran to the store. It was still only 6 in the morning and the store I needed was still closed. So I ran to another state where there was a convenience store.

Becoming myself, I entered the store and took the cart. Arriving at the right department, I completely filled the cart and went to the checkout. After paying for the entire purchase, I put everything in my inventory and turned into the Two-Tails and teleported to the Sphere.

After taking out all the purchases from the spatial store, I set to work.

After 25 minutes everything was ready. And once a dark red ball turned into a dark blue. Yes, I went to the store and bought paint.

It was an expensive, fast drying paint, so in 10 minutes it was all done.

After throwing out the rest of the paint, I put the Sphere in my inventory. Transforming into the Two-Tails, I teleported to the desert, not far from Slaterville.

Taking out the Sphere, I climbed into it and closed the door. Having activated all the systems, I began to roll forward.

It was cool. This Sphere is just incredibly cool. Because of the spikes on it, there are no obstacles for the Sphere.

I'm a fool not to take such a Sphere when I meet it for the first time. It's good that I had the brains to take this Orb in an alternate dimension.

After riding for about an hour, I decided to finish. After leaving the Sphere, I put it in my inventory and returned to the laboratory.

I took out the Orb, left it in the hangar next to 'the Merlin' and went to the training ground.

It's time to look at my new alien.

I was able to copy Shadow's DNA because he fully awakened his heritage.

As I said, Shadow's grandfather was an Umbramant. This race died out several centuries ago. Despite the fact that they controlled the shadows and looked quite creepy, they were a peaceful race.

The exact reason for their disappearance is unknown, but it seems that one of the last representatives of this race visited Earth and had a child, who later became the father of Lee.

Wasting no more time, I turned into a new alien.

After the transformation, I examined myself in the mirror that stood nearby, especially for such cases.

I was completely black. I didn't even have a mouth, only eyes that shone blue.

I was wearing a cloak with a hood that enveloped my entire body, also black. Although I would say that this color is darker than black.

The hands that peeked out from under the cloak had five long fingers with sharp claws. Using my long fingers, I pulled the hood off my head.

Looking in the mirror, I saw hair sticking up on my head, which seemed to consist of darkness itself.

Pulling back my cloak, I looked down at my body. I was quite tall, as much as 2 meters, but at the same time I was very thin. I had no legs, instead of them there were several tentacles from the darkness.

The symbol of the Omnitrix, as always, was on my chest.

Pulling back the cloak once more, I looked at its inner lining. It was different from the rest of the cloak.

In addition to being completely black, stars shone all over the lining. It was like a starry sky. Very beautiful.

It was written in the Plumbers' files that the Umbramants use this part of the cloak to take long-range attacks, such as laser shots, and send them to the Shadow Dimension.

Having finished examining myself, I decided to test my abilities.

After transforming back into a human, I put on my costume and used the Null Void Ring to travel to the Null Void.

I decided that since I have access to such a good training ground, I should definitely use it.

Once in another dimension, I used telekinesis to fly.

It took me 20 minutes to find a good spot with lots of shade.

Landing on this piece of stone, I turned into a Cloak, so I decided to name this hero, and began to test my strength.

First of all, I decided to test Umbramant's main ability. Journey through the shadows.

Finding a good shadow, I flew towards it. Once near the shadow, I dived into it and fell into another world.

It was the Shadow Dimension. Thanks to this dimension, I can travel through the shadows.

But for this, I need a little skill. Still, this dimension is incredibly huge. And it's easy to get lost in it.

Following my instincts, I emerged from this world and ended up ten meters from where I entered. Happened.

A little more practice. I have come to several conclusions.

Using the Shadow Dimension, one can travel great distances. But it will be too long.

The speed at which I fly in that world is quite small. For some reason, time goes more slowly there, but not only time, everything moves slowly.

For traveling long distances, I have the Two-Tails.

But Cloak is very good for infiltrating and spying through shadows. It is very convenient and useful.

After completing this power check, I moved on to the next one.

Umbramant can also manipulate shadows. Concentrating, I tried to move the shadows.

And I did it. Once I got the shadows under control, they became very easy to control. And they do whatever I want.

The ability of the cloak itself, I can't test yet, but I knew one trick.

Opening the cloak, I released several shadow's tentacles from them that attacked the nearest stone. The tentacles had enough strength, so that the stone was simply crushed.

Deciding that it was finally time to return, I became myself and used the ring to return to my dimension.

Judging by the map on the phone, this time I was brought to Uruguay. Too far.

Transforming into the Two-Tails, I teleported to the hotel. Grandpa and the girls just got up.

Therefore, having collected all things, we took them to the RV, after which we went to have breakfast.
