After I Took Off My Tiara

"Istel, are you ready to go to the palace?" My mother asked me with a slight sadness in her voice. Her mother thinks that she, as a 24 years old lady should not marry off to someone she doesn't even know. She as a mother was reluctant to let go of her daughter's life. She needed to learn life in this age, but no backing off now. I already set her. I already signed the contract. It's just too sad to recall.

"Red.... are you really sure about this? Really?" My Sister Izara questioned me as she watched me whose staring at my appearance on the mirror. She was married for two years now, I just envy her to have someone beside her whom she loved and her husband also loved her genuinely. Whereas me, on contrary, will be married to someone.....Who holds power, wealth and everlasting money.

I stood up, face them and smiled tenderly, "Mom, Izara... I decided this. I cannot oppose the edict also this is an opportunity, don't you want to have a royal daughter?" I joked to them.

Mother slightly slapped my arms and looked at me, "Alright. I already decided, I cannot go back now. If ever I regretted... then I won't do anything about it... this is also not my style." I averted my eyes to pat my face gently. For me, this marriage is important. Why? So that my family will never have debt to someone else and will definitely have money to leisure at.

It's not only to have money that I married the Third Prince. It was because I also need leads about the death of Luyang An. He was my most favourite and respectable Senior. "That doesn't answer the word 'how' tsk, tsk." Iyablue tsked at me, I don't bother replying at her and smiled at my sister who is tightly grabbing my long skirt. I pinched her cheeks then she pouted. Oh! My heart melted at her cute behaviour.

"Sister... you won't leave me right? You will visit this cute sister of yours, right?" Ishalet tears up, and I giggled at her words. Tss. I wipe her tears then I kneeled down to kiss her cheeks. She hug me tightly then kissed me in return. She went to my mother's side then motion her to carry her. So demanding~~~

Walking out the door I saw my father leaning his left hand on the wall while sobbing. "Dad. I've already talked this with you and mother yesterday night. Right? Furthermore, aren't you also want to fulfill the ancestors wish?" I go to his side while smiling.

He looked at me that resulted him to cry even more. Oh gash! So sorry...

"My dearest Dad. I will make them happy. Hmm?" He hug me then I reacted to hug him too. This moment was just so emotional that I almost cried, thankfully I got to control myself. I loose my hand hugging him then smiled at him. That was to assure him that everything will surely go well.

I turned my back at him that made my heart ached. After marriage, I won't have much time to visit them, moreover my mission to get that annoying killer was also planned. Two maids opened the gate, what am I seeing right now was just too unbelievably reality. I feel like I am an artist.

There are bunches of reporters while the bodyguards surround them to avoid hitting me. Several picture were captured that I don't even know where did it came from. My neighbors is here to gossip and smiling to me like we are close. Duhh~~ they badly wanted to obtain the debt my mother owe to them but now, everything seems to change.

I saw the carriage where of course my husband is. I slowly make my way while someone was holding my long skirt at the back. The door of the carriage opened, there I saw a certain man tucking out his left hand for me to hold at. I smiled then held it. I went inside and waved at the reporters... basically every person I saw, I'll waved at them.

Thereafter, the drums can be heard along with the march of the soldiers guarding the carriages. I smiled and waved. Gash! My hand was sore.

Lots of peoples are shouting even taking pictures or videos. Not to mention, there are many people here. Like they came here to rally. Goodness.

Minutes passed by and finally we are out of the carriage. Me and my husband to be is not even greeting to each other. Well, it's understandable because we-- I mean, it's our first time seeing each other. I linked my arms with him as we make our way to the center where we'll made our vows to each other.

Inside this hall, there are so many lights above, there are emotional song in the background, on the floor was lying a red carpet. The hall was decorated aesthetically. Over the table was wines with napkins and flowers. Up in the front was a red silk, celebrating the wedding of course.

I unlink my arms with him then we face each other.

"Felix Lim, do you take Istel Red Grey as your wife..."

"I do."

"Istel Red Grey. do you take Felix Lim as your husband..."

"I do."

"Congratulations! Now, the two of you are legally married. You may kiss the bride." I almost stumbled when I heard kiss. I didn't know such thing appeared in marriage like this. I looked up to him, which he wear a gentle smile.

He went closer, lifted my veil. He held my shoulder and I closed my eyes unwillingly. I thought he'll kiss me on my lips but it was only on the forehead. Thanks to him. They clapped happily and the drums echoed.

Now it is night. We finished paying respects to the elders aka royalty.

After washing up, I sat on the bed waiting for my husband. That was fast! We didn't even date and here we are husband and wife. I took out my phone and texted William.

["You don't have to report, you can rest right now."] Sending the text, I hear the splashes of water stopped. Probably because my husband was finished washing up too. Then a text came.

["Rest assured, I won't disturb my cousin's first night, have fun."] I rolled my eyes finished reading the reply. This guy just know how to tease me. Tss. I didn't bother sending another text, afraid of what will he said the next time around. Gash!

I heard the door unlocked that send me to gape and forced myself to not shout... I meant to not scared this husband of mine... you know because... of his sudden unlocking of door. In my existence apparently 24 years now, I found it difficult to lie with a stranger that suddenly became my husband. The thrill tho.

It's like I am sending myself off to some wealth family, though it's sort of like that. I don't even know his height, birthday, and most of all what kind of person is he?

Staring at her back, he couldn't help but to sigh. Such manners to wait for him. Respect!

"Don't worry, just sleep." I said as I wipe my hair with the towel. She turn around then looked at me blankly. What's with your look girl?

Istel snapped in her thoughts then said, "Thank you." she uncover the bed, lie down, cover herself lastly turn my back to him. That was just too embarrassing. To lie with a prince... though I am a princess. Hehe.

As she was too focused on her thoughts, Felix turn off the lights then climbed on the bed harmlessly. He turn to looked at her back then averted his eyes.

She who was busy thinking about his body... unconsciously slept. Because, as a girl.. she was surely curious about her husband's body. It's a bit embarrassed to tell... Ehem.

Far to their house, Lawrence An the sibling of Lino An, rubbed his hands. He just finished tidying the dust on his table and saw his daughter. Hazel An. His wife wss already dead, so the expectation to his daughter is understandable.

"You really want to help your father?" I said looking at my daughter whose pondering.

"Yes. I am willing." She firmly stated. I smiled to her then she smiled to me.
