CHAPTER 13:

Bill stayed silent for a while he still didn't believe what coach miley said he was shocked by her words and so did the others. "What , coach is it the best solution right now" , " yeah I don't know much of what's ahead but it is worth it bill" , she said , "but coach don't you think we can wait for tom to recover " said lanna , but coach miley seemed to not like her idea , " lanna , even if tom recovers he won't be in a good mood to still be team captain , actually he's been acting unpleasant these days so giving him this duty wont be a game changing option , maybe it's too much for him to handle and I need a high performance these days , the whole team needs more practice for the coming season , or else you want a blame" , " okay I get it coach" lanna said . miley moved next to tom's mom she looked worried, and had nothing else to do but wait for tom to recover she didn't want to let go of his hand.

"so guys I think you should leave us we need to talk" miley said , they all went out of the room . Mam our greatest pardon to you we really didn't intend to" , " no problem my son hasn't been himself for some days , I'm really worried about him and I really don't know what's going on with him , he's making me worried because he's never acted like that for the whole of his life as a kid , I really need to know what he's going through , I could be such a bad mother if I knew nothing about my son's life and can't help him wouldn't it miley? " , " yeah it's necessary but by now all we need is to see if he recovers fast and we could settle everything" , " yeah I hope all turns to be good" , " let's hope so , and I , I am really willing to help you in all I could I know how it feels .

I've been through things like those , trust me , my own son had an accident and it was all because of me , I cared less to all he was going through , and I suppose he thought more of that he was going through those days , it was so hard for him that moment and eventually ran into a car" , " oh really sorry miley" , " oh it was not so severe , he injured only his knee , but he's fine now ." " I really don't want to see my son ran into bad addicts , cause I cared less to what he is going through , because he has no one else to look after him only me , his father works abroad and he is normally not around"

. The other barracuda members were outside waiting for a miley and tom's mom , they saw miley come out of the room , ritha approached her as she closed the door , but she looked worried , " miley , what's just happened , you seem worried , is there anything wrong , no , nothing wrong , it's just that you will be carrying on your practice without tom he's going to be here for a couple of days , so I guess bill is going to take over now" , " so coach will tom participate in the competition if he's back" , " lanna I'm afraid not , I don't think he's going to , because he's missing a lot now I don't think he'll catch up , unless he's good to go in less than four days" , miley said to lanna and she remained calm and worried , she had nothing more to say , " I think we'll be heading home tomorrow is another practice day guys" , " so what about tom , no one to stay here watching him" , " Jennifer don't worry about tom he's staying with his mom , it's going to be alright with him don't worry" , miley said and went on .

" Guys I suggest we just go home , we're doing nothing here" , " pete , I think I'm staying I'm talking to tom's mom for a while" , lanna said , the others went on . " come in" , tom's mom said as lanna knocked on the door , " hey" , " hello , what makes you stay , the others are leaving and it's getting chilly out here" , " oh it's nothing I am okay" , " oh that's good , I hope I have some one to talk to" , " so , we're sorry again for tom , I guess we were not very careful he was upset before heading to the water" , " I know but good thing you saved him" , " glad we were fast he could have had bigger problems if he stayed in the water for long , so mam" , " tom and I were even more than friends , that's why I decided to stay a bit longer" , " oh thanks , I wonder why he didn't tell me about you lanna" , " I guess he was a little bit shy and didn't tell you , but I can't blame him he was going through a lot that he didn't even tell me too" , " I guess it was so hard that he couldn't trust anyone" , " yes absolutely I know that times like those happen , but , these days we haven't been as we normally were , and I really wish we could get back to our past days , I liked him like that" , " I miss him too , you know lanna , he's been acting weird to me as well but I didn't know about it , but now I do" , " I guess the only solution is if he gets well soon , we'll have time to make things right" .

Lanna stayed with tom's mom for a while , " oh my , this isn't good" , " what's the matter lanna" tom's mom said , his heart beat rate was dropping and they were all worried , " call the doctor lanna" tom's mom said and she went towards tom she held her hand and breathed heavily , she nodded her head as she looked at tom . " MRS Garcia , what just happened" , " the nurse came in hurriedly , " I heard this machine beeping and I decided to call you , is he going to be alright" , she said as the nurse unbuttoned tom's shirt , " MRS Garcia it's just a heart rate drop , he's going to be fine , we just need time to fix him" , lanna held MRS Garcia's hand and they stepped out of the room .

"MRS Garcia , we need to talk" the doctor came out saying , " yes doctor tell me" , " MRS Garcia , don't panic , your son is in good conditions nothing to worry about , so the next time , something happens you can call us , and to be sure your son will wake up in a while to come because his son in good conditions" . tom's mom breathed heavily, she nearly thought something bad could have happened to her son, Lana approached her, "MRS Garcia is everything alright", "don't worry lanna, he's safe and sound" , " oh glad to hear" , she said , as they entered the room .

"Lanna , I thank you for helping me tonight , if it you weren't here I could have fallen into a deep sleep and perhaps couldn't save my son , thanks for your help lanna I really appreciate it" , ' my pleasure MRS Garcia , it was my duty to know if he's okay , I had to make sure he is safe" , " so lanna I think it is too late and it's getting dark out here maybe you can go home I can look after him for now , right" , " yes MRS Garcia , I think I'll get going i'll come back tomorrow morning but before I go can I have your number I may need to call you" , " sure ..., here it is" tom's mom said as she handed lanna a paper . She then headed home.
