Let's Get Some Cake!

Tokyo, Japan,

Shibuya Ward,

Samuel POV,

Samuel walked down the street going through the phone he had obtained in the morning, he had left the Academy after accepting Yukino's proposition and had been exploring the city for the rest of the day and now it was around 2 pm so he was hanging around the kindergarten he had dropped Rin off at. He wanted to be there for his sister when she got free, that is what the little girl had asked for in the morning after all.

Leaning against the wall, Samuel chuckled to himself, noticing the gazes of the few other people that had started arriving at the place. Had it been….. Say a person with less fashionable clothes and a more haggard appearance, that person too would be getting a lot of attention albeit for a completely different reason. "How materialistic." He said with a small sigh... but that was good, materialism wasn't unfair or completely bad, it just made you a shit person more often than not.

The chime of the bell which announced the end of the school day entered his ears and he put his phone back in his pocket, surveying the grounds which all of a sudden had a large number of children in them.

Rin POV,

Rin walked out of her building holding her bag, her eyes had a shine to them as she looked around at the numerous adults present around her school. Though.... a few moments later, her mood dropped and her shoulders drooped, Samuel... her older brother was nowhere in sight.... Shaking her head, she looked around for a bit more, he had promised her so he had to be here!

A small girl with blonde and brown hair patted her back with a cheerful smile, "It'll be alright, Rin! I'm sure your nii is around here somewhere!" she said cheerfully, it was apparent from her behaviour that she was a bundle of joy filled with energy. "Agreed." a blue haired girl that was holding a book nodded quickly, somewhat worried about her friend.

"Thank you." Rin said in a small voice, slightly bowing her head, ..... this only served to discourage her further and the other two children were now somewhat panicking thinking about how to console their friend.

"Well this is a sight." A familiar voice spoke as a hand landed on Rin's head, ruffling her hair making her look up quickly, "....".. she slightly teared up making Samuel panic and wave his hands around helplessly, "What's wrong? What happened? Did someone do something?", he looked around with annoyance on his face, anyone that dared to touch his little sister would face punishment.

"See?" The blonde haired girl patted Rin's back with a big smile as Samuel looked at them in slight panic, why was she crying?.... Rin silently hugged his leg, "Thank you.." though it looked slightly strange seeing as she barely reached above his knee. A few moments of confusion later, Samuel stood in place with Rin holding his hand and though she returned to her blank look the aura of happiness practically radiating off her could be felt by just about anyone.

"Onii-san, are you a thug?" one of the little girls tilting her head in curiosity.

"....I don't even look like one." Samuel replied slightly dejected, sure he had let his hair down but it didn't mean that he looked like a thug all of a sudden. "Anzu! That's Rin's brother, you can't say that to his face!" A girl with brown hair that reached her chin scolded her, folding her little arms with an 'angry' look on his face.

"You mean you thought that too?" Samuel said sighing, did he really look like a thug? "Eh... n-no, Koume was...." the girl now named Koume looked around in slight panic, she couldn't tell him she thought that too, it would hurt his feelings even more! "Nii-san, you should keep your hair to the side... you really do like a thug." The blue haired girl from earlier said with a straight face making Samuel audibly sigh and shake his head, it was annoying to have his hair tied up so he wasn't going to do it.

"Well it was a delight to meet my sister's cute friends but we need to get going now." Samuel smiled at them before walking away as Rin waved them goodbye, she understood that it was time for them to get going lest they worry their mother. As they walked a certain brown haired teenager passed by Samuel and the two MEN bumped fists with silent nods going their separate ways right after.

"Do you wanna get something like a cake?" Samuel asked looking at Rin, kids liked sweets right?... Maybe he was trying too hard to build a relationship? Rin looked towards the ground, "T-That is unnecessary." she said in a strained voice making Samuel chuckle, "Ah well, I wanna eat some so please tag along?"

"U-Umu."

Tokyo, Japan,

Nishimiya Residence,

Ito POV,

Ito Nishimiya was the grandmother of Shouko Nishimiya and her sister Yuzuru Nishimiya, she cared deeply for both of them and gave up her retirement to help raise them after their father left their mother. She had learnt sign language to interact with her deaf granddaughter better and now lived with them and their mother.

Today though... She sat on her chair observing Shouko as she did the household work. Her granddaughter had a more cheery demeanour than usual today for some unknown reason. "What happened, Shouko?" she asked in sign language making the girl freeze up like a deer caught in headlights, she quickly shook her head trying to convey that it was nothing.

"Oh is that so? I'm happy for you Shouko." Ito said with a warm smile on her face, it appeared that her granddaughter didn't quite want to go into detail regarding the matter and that was perfectly fine with her so long as she was happy.

Shouko though, in truth, was fairly happy today. Far happier than she had been in a good while, after who knows how long, even if it had been for a small while, she had met a person that was nice to her and didn't avoid her because of her disability. While she didn't quite understand why they did that as she herself viewed it as no problem, she was happy he treated her like that regardless.

A small blush crept up on her cheeks as she thought about it,.... if it wasn't much to ask then she wanted to make a small wish, she wished to meet him again. The place and time didn't matter, she just wanted to interact with him... she too didn't quite understand why but she didn't really need to either, she wanted to talk more and she knew that.

......Hopefully, he would have the time then.
