MY LOVELY LIFE

"Good morning Miss Jenny would you like me to serve you your breakfast now or would you like some coffee first?" Miss Yanet asked me who is a caretaker of mine since I was a child and also a loyal helper and server of the Green Household for forty years. She is very close to me just like a mother to her child.

"No Yanet please just serve me the breakfast please, I have a very important interview today."

"Okay Jenny, whatever you wish". She said as she walked towards the kitchen and started reading my breakfast.

She soon served me my breakfast.

I did my breakfast and get myself ready for the interview. I wore a white dress shirt with a black pencil skirt and paired it with a black stiletto. I then took my handbag and walked out of my room.

As soon as I walked out of my house my driver was waiting for me in my black Mercedes to take me to the company.

As I entered The Black Incorporation I was impressed with the interior of the company and also the vibe the company was giving me.

It was just like my father's. The same vibe I get whenever I visited his company. The vibe you get when you are with people with intimidating personalities and impressing aura. I worked really hard to even make myself capable to stand a chance to give the interview.

I know I could just work in my father's company but it was just that I wanted to make myself capable enough to be a part of Greene's corporation. There was no better way than to work in such a big company to get hands-on experience. I wanted to prove to my father that I can handle the work of a company as a person in power. I know dad will pass on his company to me if I can prove my capability to him.

I went to the reception to ask for the direction of the interview hall. It was an interview for the CEO's secretary's assistant's position.

For me, it could be a real good opportunity to work under the CEO and learn the skills required to be good at handling a company's affairs.

"Miss Jennifer Greene", a lady called my name from the hall where the interview was scheduled. I have been waiting for them to call me for an hour.

I quickly stood up and adjusted my skirt as I went inside the room. I was feeling very anxious thinking about the interview because it was my first time to attend the interview.

I saw there a panel of five gentlemen sitting beside a mahogany Table having my resume in their hands. The aura in the room was something else. They all were glaring at me.

The lady who called me signaled me to sit on a chair that was placed in front of the interview panel. As I sit there all the men looked at me and started asking me questions.

"Why do you think you deserve to work in such a big corporate world in such an important position?"

"I think I am capable of being in this position. I did my major in business and trained myself to be business personnel.

"OK if you think so you must know much about the company you want to work in? Can you tell me what you think of the company's strategy for this year?

"Sir I had attached all the materials I have researched about this company. I am looking forward to your corrections", I said.

"Hmm. I liked the materials you have researched. It is precise with all the strategies highlighted."

"You may leave now we'll let you know the result of your interview."

After that, I came out of that hall and then went to a restaurant near the corner of the lane down the company to meet my best friend Jacy and my boyfriend, Erin. They were both my childhood friends we went to the same college and school as well. I already messaged them to come there to have lunch together. Mine and Erin's family are in a good business relationship so we knew each other for a long time. And a year ago we started dating. I met Jacy through Erin when we were in high school. I saw her before as we were in the same school but I never talked with her. Erin knew her before and they were friends. Even though Jacy and I become a friend not too long ago yet we are very close to each other.

I reached the restaurant and I saw Erin and Jacy were already there sipping on some beverage as there were cups in their hands. I walked to them and sit beside Erin. As I sit with him he held my hand and gave me a sweet smile. then he asked me about the interview I had today.

I was in a good mood since my interview was pretty amazing. So I told him that I might get the job since the panel was quite impressed with me.

They both seemed happy hearing that.

Then we ordered our food. I ordered myself pesto pasta while Erin and Jacy ordered burgers for themselves.

We ate and chat for quite a while then I paid the bill as I was the one treating them which I usually do. I like to have my meals with them and I don't want them to waste their money on something I am asking them to do. So I pay for them as well.

I can do that for my boyfriend and my best friend with a smile on my face.

After the payment, I bid my goodbyes to them and sit in my car off to my apartment to change into something more comfortable.
