Prove It
'I only like you' Galen had said.
The words came out of his mouth but that didn't mean they were believable.
Ebari stood in complete shock, staring at the man in front of him.
"Say something," Galen urged.
"I'm speechless," Ebari admitted.
There was another long silence and neither of them could look at each other. Galen had to sit down and try to calm his heart or he thought he was going to have a heart attack.
"How do you know?" Ebari finally asked.
Galen wanted to tear the hair out of his own head at Ebari's words.
"What does that even mean?" he asked. "I just know I like you. I've liked you for a long time. I liked you even before I saw the aftermath of that bastard sinking his teeth into you."
Ebari thought back to the "use me" situation again and his face felt hot. He was finally coming to the realization that Galen might have meant exactly what Ebari had originally thought.
