Chapter Two Hundred and Sixteen: Confrontation

Gao Yang had never really encountered racial discrimination, at least not openly, and no one had ever deliberately humiliated him because of his skin color.

Gao Yang had always thought that racial discrimination was something far removed from him, but today he finally faced it, and what particularly puzzled and outraged him was that black people, who are usually victims of racial discrimination, had also started practicing it themselves.

Gao Yang didn't know if the black man had done it on purpose, but he had pointedly used the word "Chinks", which was unbearable for Gao Yang, so he immediately retaliated with "n*gger", a word that is highly offensive to black people, in response to the black man's insolent remark.

As the black man heard the word "n*gger", he seemed stunned, as if he couldn't believe Gao Yang's response.

"Are you Japanese? Korean? Or from Huaxia? You're so sensitive to the word 'Chinks', are you perhaps a 'Chinaman'?"
