If there were students or even teachers here, they would bow and greet him as the principal.

This old man with hair as white as snow had already retired many years ago and there had been countless principal changes at the school he worked at. However, none of them lived up to his prestige.

Usually, when principals or teachers retired, others forgot about them and never bothered them ever again.

There was a Chinese proverb that said to always respect your teacher as you did your father. This was something that the teachers themselves and was once said by a famous teacher. Over generations and generations of teaching, it had been engraved into society's thinking, but no one really upheld this.

This old man was an exception.

He had been involved in business, politics and had been the principal for many schools. He was considered a genius and was still one of the most respected individuals in the community.
