Chapter 34 - Rosha, You're Still Too Young

Splat!

Rosha's index finger easily pierced through Terrell's back as if it were a sharp awl, effortlessly breaking through the thick skin of the large brute.

"Ugh!"

The intense pain turned Terrell's eyes bloodshot as he spun around, swinging his massive hand wildly at Rosha. But when his hand came down, Rosha's figure had already vanished.

"Soru!"

Rosha reappeared behind Terrell's broad back, his index finger stabbing forward once more.

"Shigan!"

Splat!

Blood splattered as Terrell's cries of pain echoed again. The giant brute frantically swung his hands, but he couldn't catch Rosha, who kept appearing behind him, continuously stabbing at his back.

"This is troublesome. This fat bastard's skin is too thick. Even Shigan can't penetrate deeply."

After stabbing seven or eight times, Rosha decided to target a different spot. Muttering to himself, he flashed to Terrell's front, aiming his right index finger at Terrell's throat and thrusting forward.

"Who are you calling a fat bastard?!"

Terrell roared, his body inflating like a balloon. A wild growth of black hair sprouted from his pores, covering his entire body. His limbs grew thicker, and his flabby fat transformed into rock-hard muscle.

His fingers extended into sharp claws over a foot long, and his gaping mouth revealed large, thick fangs. His head morphed into a massive bear's head.

"Roar!"

In an instant, Terrell's height surged from three meters to over six meters. His body, now covered in long black fur and bulging with enormous muscles, exuded immense power.

"Careful! Terrell is a Zoan-type Bear-Bear Fruit: Grizzly Bear form user. Zoan types are known for their strength, and his Grizzly Bear Fruit is one of the strongest among regular Zoan types. Not only is he tough, but his strength increases significantly after transforming."

Peacock stood among the groveling pirates, warning Rosha.

"Is he a Devil Fruit user?"

Rosha's feet rapidly tapped the ground as his body shot backward more than ten meters. Just as he landed, a massive shadow loomed overhead.

"Roar! How dare you call me a fat bastard?! Die!"

The two-story-tall black-furred grizzly bear roared, swinging its colossal arms down at Rosha.

Rosha continued using Soru, his figure flickering like a skipping frame as he dodged the bear's swipes.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The giant bear's paws slammed into the ground, creating large craters. The once sturdy cobblestone streets of the royal city were smashed to pieces, debris flying everywhere.

"Terrifying, like a walking steamroller."

Rosha retreated while searching for the bear's weak spot.

"The heart? No, the muscles there are at least two feet thick. Unless I can pierce through with my entire arm using Shigan, I can't reach his heart."

"The neck? Also too thick with muscle. Without a slash from a blade, it's hard to break through his tough body."

"The eyes? That's a possibility, but… This bear is going berserk. If I make a mistake and get hit, even I… Wait, can my body withstand it?"

Rosha touched his chin, contemplating. After a year of intense training, he wasn't sure of his own body's limits. He remembered Dawes mentioning that he might possess a natural toughness akin to Big Mom's steel balloon-like body.

Big Mom had knocked out a giant from Elbaf with one punch at the age of five, showcasing her incredible strength.

"Come to think of it, didn't Big Mom once kill a giant bear with a single punch while trying to mediate a fight between animals as a child?"

Narrowing his eyes, Rosha glanced at his right hand, then at the rampaging bear destroying everything around him.

"I should test my strength to know my limits. Otherwise, it would be reckless in future battles, especially with even stronger enemies ahead."

"Alright, let's give it a try!"

From a distance, Drake, having finished off the surrounding pirates, saw Rosha being chased by Terrell and sighed.

"He's still a rookie from the branch. Although he has learned the basics of Rokushiki, his attacks aren't strong enough. Against a Zoan user with thick skin, only powerful slashes or even greater physical strength can be effective."

"The battle has been dragging on. If we don't finish soon, the pirate reinforcements will arrive, making it difficult to escape. I remember the Giant Bug Pirate Crew has a newcomer with a bounty exceeding 100 million."

Thinking this, Drake hurried towards Rosha, shouting:

"Rosha! You're still too young, step aside and let me…"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Amid Terrell's massive swings, a nimble silver-haired figure leaped into the air, repeatedly tapping his feet, causing explosive sounds. His lean and athletic body swelled, muscles bulging, making him look like a figure of steel.

The headband tying his hair snapped, and his silver locks flowed wildly in the wind.

"Life Return!"

Thud.

Drake's head slammed into the ground, creating a large dent. He looked up in shock at the silver-haired youth in mid-air.

"Life… Return?"

With Life Return activated for the first time, Rosha's body unleashed tremendous life energy, causing his aura to explode.

His clenched right fist crackled with the sound of bones snapping, waves of power surging through his entire body.

"With this level of strength…"

Rosha grinned, looking at the massive bear paw descending towards him. His foot tapped the air, his body shot forward, and his right fist struck out at the enormous paw.

Boom!

The air exploded with a thunderous roar. The terrifying force shattered the grizzly bear's paw segment by segment, scattering flesh and bones into the sky.

Rosha raised his right foot, kicking away the other paw of the frenzied bear, and then his right fist slammed down on the bear's head.

Boom!
