This was the Nidoran with the best aptitude among all the ones Cain scanned.

Out of the nine Pokémon, its level was one of the lowest. After enduring Slowpoke's Water Gun and Murkrow's Hidden Power, it barely managed to escape from the hole before nearly losing the ability to fight.

The dark yellow potential already met the requirements for the Hunter Guild's mission. Once Cain captured and delivered it, his mission would be considered complete. Not only would he receive a good sum of money, but he would also earn an equivalent amount of points.

What surprised Cain was that this Nidoran had the Hustle ability. Although this ability increases attack and reduces accuracy, it wasn't particularly notable at this stage.

However, once this Nidoran evolved into a Nidoking, its ability would change to Sheer Force, making it a true powerhouse.

If it were to obtain a Life Orb, even with dark yellow potential, it could compete against Pokémon with green potential without any trouble.

Even so, Cain didn't consider keeping it for his own use; his surprise stemmed solely from the increased value of a Nidoran with the Hustle ability. If he found a Nidoran with green or higher potential and the Hustle ability, he might have considered it, as a Nidoking with Sheer Force is incredibly strong.

But before capturing this Nidoran, he first had to deal with the Nidorino and Nidorina that glared at him with rage and distrust.

Among the nine Nido-family Pokémon, these two seemed to be the parents, while the other seven—three female Nidoran and four male Nidoran—were their offspring.

Apart from the two Nidorino and Nidorina, the other seven, which were at low levels, were already exhausted after escaping the hole.

Smiling slightly, Cain said, "Murkrow, use Wing Attack on Nidorina. Slowpoke, use Psyshock on Nidorino."

Murkrow, already prepared, swooped down toward Nidorina, while Slowpoke's eyes glowed blue, launching a psychic wave at Nidorino.

"Nido!" Although they still had traces of electricity on their bodies, they couldn't move quickly. Though they wanted to dodge, they couldn't.

With two roars, Murkrow struck Nidorina with its wing without hesitation, pushing her back three meters, while Slowpoke's Psyshock, with its type advantage, dealt double damage to Nidorino, leaving him paralyzed on the spot.

"Murkrow, use Feint Attack on Nidorino."

After repelling Nidorina, Murkrow turned into a black shadow and used Feint Attack on the paralyzed Nidorino.

"Nido!"

Although Nidorina recoiled from the pain, seeing her partner about to be attacked by two Pokémon, she launched Poison Sting from the spines on her back, aiming at Murkrow, who was about to strike Nidorino.

"Slowpoke, use Confusion to block Poison Sting and then use Psyshock on Nidorina again," Cain commanded calmly.

Nidorina's Poison Sting was blocked by Slowpoke's Confusion, while Murkrow, trusting its companion, didn't stop and hit the recovering Nidorino with Feint Attack, as Slowpoke's Psyshock hit Nidorina.

Nidorino tried to resist by using Fury Attack, with its front paws wrapped in white light.

But due to the distance, Nidorina couldn't intervene.

"Murkrow, Protect and then use Hidden Power to finish it. Slowpoke, use Psyshock for the final blow."

Nidorino's Fury Attack struck Murkrow's protective barrier, shattering it after five hits, but the attack itself was exhausted, and the white light on its paws dissipated.

Murkrow's Electric-type Hidden Power, charged over three seconds, was released just as the barrier faded.

Nidorino, still wet from the water, suffered even greater damage due to the electric attack, immediately losing its ability to fight and collapsing to the ground.

Faster than Murkrow, Slowpoke's Psyshock hit Nidorina, and with the type advantage, she couldn't hold out either, losing her ability to fight.

Cain was the only one who noticed that after defeating Nidorina, Slowpoke leveled up, reaching level 23. After accumulating enough experience, leveling up came naturally.

Seeing their parents lying on the ground, the male and female Nidoran, already weakened, suddenly surged with energy and charged at Cain.

"Gastly, use Hypnosis to put them to sleep for a bit," Cain said, looking at the little Pokémon.

Gastly's higher level and potential advantage made its Hypnosis highly effective. All the small Pokémon trying to attack fell asleep mid-charge, with the last to succumb being the dark yellow potential Nidoran.

Cain casually threw nine standard Poké Balls. For this type of capture aimed at earning Pokédollars, there was no need to use high-quality Poké Balls.

Unsurprisingly, all nine members of the Nido family were captured.

Cain applied a healing spray to the unconscious Nidorino and Nidorina to prevent them from dying before he could exchange them for resources.

With that, the main goal of this outing was accomplished.

A dark yellow potential Nidoran with the Hustle ability would certainly boost the value of Cain's mission, and his rank would rise as well.

Additionally, he had captured a light green potential Arbok, which meant that his haul was excellent.

"Slowpoke, use Teleport to return to the camp," Cain said, satisfied, to Slowpoke.

"Yadon!" Slowpoke nodded. The distance to the camp wasn't far, and the battle hadn't been too exhausting. Moreover, after leveling up, Slowpoke felt its control over its psychic powers had improved.

Wrapping everyone in its psychic power, and with a slight spatial distortion, Cain and his Pokémon vanished from the berry forest.

That night, at the lakeside camp, Cain and his Pokémon sat around a bonfire and began a hearty dinner.
