Even as the Baital knelt before Kai, he didn't feel the same unending allegiance as he did with his other beasts. Just like before with the Chucadori, the corruption was incomplete. The Baital recognized him as the ruler, but only so long as Kai showed proper superiority.
Raising his hand, Kai willed the same anchors he had used against the Chucadori to pull the Baital down as well. Although many of them were conjured, none of them were effective.
Each and every single one passed through the Baital, as if it was a ghost.
'Well, it is dead.' Kai thought even though he knew that wasn't the reason.
It was as if the Baital completely rejected this act of domination. Summoning the chain out of spite, Kai slammed them down when they passed through the Baital once more.
Sensing weakness, the Baital rose.
