Unfortunately our embrace came to an end as my mother pulled back slightly with a playful pout on her plump lips. Her green eyes full of warmth met mine as cupped my face and pinched my cheeks but I could notice a slight look of bitterness hidden in them.

"You can't come visit your mother anymore?" Her pouting was adorable yet it filled me with guilt and it showed on my face

"I'm sorry mother" I held her thin waist tightly while mustering the best apologetic expression I could muster.

"Hmph!" She still looked a little annoyed but her eyes scanned up and down my body as if she were making sure I was okay.

"I'll forgive you if you give your mother a kiss" She tilted her head to the side exposing her cheek toward me.

"Of course" I laughed slightly and leaned forward and pressed my lips against her smooth milky skin.

I seemed to have misjudged the direction which caused my to place the kiss at the edge of my mothers mouth which for some reason made my heart do flips. I subconsciously gripped her waist tighter while taking a deep breath of her sweet scent once more.

"And you" My mother didn't seem to notice my actions as her hands dropped from my face making me dissatisfied while she turned her gaze toward Evelyn who visibly flinched.

"Your brother has an excuse for not visiting but what about you young lady?" My mother's sweet voice turned stern as she raised one of her sharp eyebrows at my elder sister.

"Mother…" Evelyn's voice came out weakly before she quickly hid behind the duchess who looked highly amused by the interaction.

"And… what are you wearing?" My body stiffened as I watched my mother look Evelyn up and down seeing her half nude body with open confusion.

"It's uh…" Evelyn's face filled with shame and she looked over at me with a face of panic that I almost mirrored.

"A fashion trend from the east" Ella quickly chimed in from my side rescuing Evelyn from further embarrassment.

"Oh Ella sweetheart!" My mother's face lit up as she noticed Ella and immediately pulled her into a hug.

'…' I subconsciously cleared my throat as I saw the two large chests press together bulging lewdly between them.

"Miss~" Ella tried to protest but was cut off by my mother's stern voice.

"Didn't I tell you to stop calling me that?" My mother narrowed her eyes with a serious tone that made me embarrassed.

"Yes…Mother" Ella muttered with her cheeks flushing as she glanced in my direction with a shy look.

"Good" My mother looked very happy and gave me glance that only fueled my embarrassment before she tilted her head.

"A fashion trend you say" She pulled back and her eyes trailed up and down Ella's milky exposed body.

"I truly can't understand nobles" My mother shook her head instantly placing the blame on the weird trends that nobles came up with.

'Well she's not wrong' I remember meeting a countess at a party not long ago who was wearing a dead rabbit on her head.

'Nobels are weird' My thoughts were interrupted when I heard footsteps coming from the same direction my mother had came from.

"I'm getting too old for this you can't just run off on me!" A new voice one that out of breath sounded out just behind her figure.

"Father" I said calmly looking past my mother's shoulder to see a middle aged man walking up toward us.

He was still a handsome man but it was obvious that age had started to catch up to him unlike my mother. Wrinkles had formed on his face and he had bags under his eyes as if permanently exhausted although he held a certain air maturity. His short and wavy blond hair was the same as Evelyn's and his hazel eyes held calmness in them.

"Xavier, Evelyn" Our father greeted us with a warm smile but unlike my mother he stopped just at her side not coming closer.

'Figures" I thought with a slight sigh although not truly bothered.

The truth was Evelyn and I had never been particularly close with our father at least not in the way we were with our mother. I honestly never understood why he seemed to keep us at a distance, It used to bother me as a child especially when my friends would go off learning and hanging out won't their father's. Yet I grew used to it and it didn't bother me since my mother was always there for me no matter what.
