Chapter 365: The Influence of the Potion Begins to Expand!

After listening to Shisui's explanation, Reiki looked at him with mild irritation.

"Don't give me that look. I've been working in ANBU for so long, I don't get much time to interact with the outside world. It's natural that I wasn't prepared for this change," Shisui said defensively.

"Alright, I get it. Have you used up the potions I left for you?" Reiki asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah, I used them all during training. I was planning to ask for more, but you were still away on your mission," Shisui replied. "Nozuki's supply is also low; you should check with her next."

"Got it," Reiki said. "This time, I'll prepare more for you. But seriously, don't wait until you run out next time. Plan ahead and come to me sooner."

"Let's go find Nozuki. Why are you still lying down? Playing the injured?" Reiki teased, turning to leave.

Shisui paused, realizing he'd just received treatment from Reiki. If Reiki had been there during that fateful mission... He sighed and followed Reiki out of the ward.

...

The two arrived at Nozuki's house.

"Reiki, Shisui? You two actually found time to visit me?" Nozuki said with mock annoyance as she opened the door.

"Nozuki sounds unhappy to see us," Reiki joked. "I heard you're running low on potions, so I brought some. Or do you want to keep being annoyed?" he added with a grin.

"Oh, great medical ninja and potion delivery machine, come on in. Shisui, you stay outside!" Nozuki teased, giving Shisui a playful glare.

Kushina walked in from the kitchen, wearing an apron and smiling. "You're all here. Perfect. Don't go home tonight—stay for dinner. Reiki, I'll have Minato pick up Shizune and Kurenai to join us," she said.

"Uh..." Reiki was momentarily embarrassed. He was well aware of Shizune and Kurenai's affections but didn't know how to respond. His mature soul felt out of place in such youthful romantic situations.

"You're blushing! Come inside," Kushina said with a laugh. "I'll get some fruit ready. Minato will bring the others when he's back from buying groceries."

Reiki, Shisui, and Nozuki settled into her room.

"Nozuki, how long has it been since your last mission?" Reiki asked, noting the meticulous state of her room.

"Over ten days. Why, is there trouble in the ninja world?" Nozuki asked, curious.

"I wouldn't say trouble, but there's been a shift. Potions are now widely used in combat, and it's causing problems. Shisui's last mission failed partly because of this," Reiki explained as he unpacked the new potions.

"So, you mean we need to start considering potion use in our battle strategies?" Nozuki asked, taking the potions. "But most ninjas don't have the luxury of access like we do."

"Exactly. We, as your friends, are well-supplied. But other ninjas, especially those without strong backgrounds, will be disadvantaged. That gap will only widen, and Roy's potions could end up being a double-edged sword for the village," Nozuki said, concern clouding her features.

"The internal distribution is controlled by the village leadership. That's not our problem," Reiki said. "But we need to prepare ourselves. The imbalance will create issues, and we must be ready."

"I understand," Shisui and Nozuki said in unison, determination in their voices.

With some time left before dinner, Reiki took out a map and began discussing strategy and points of interest. They reviewed issues surrounding the integration of the Sanada Chamber of Commerce with the Loulan Kingdom, as well as potential threats from other major villages.

...

Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office:

"Hokage-sama, here is a report detailing mission failures linked to the enemy's use of potions during operations. I suggest Tsunade-sama oversee the sales of these potions in the village rather than outsourcing to an external chamber of commerce. This way, we can monitor their distribution more effectively," an ANBU operative reported.

Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded, taking the report. "I'll consider it," he said, eyes scanning the document. The ANBU operative bowed and disappeared.

Mitokado Hamura, one of Konoha's elder advisors, spoke up. "It may be time to let Danzo regain some of his authority. Some tasks require a more aggressive approach, and he's well-suited for that."

Sarutobi's brows furrowed. "Not yet. The benefits of the potions are undeniable, but forcing Tsunade's hand isn't wise. Do you think she'd comply willingly?"

Both men knew Tsunade's independent nature. Sarutobi sighed. If Tsunade were just another skilled medical ninja, he'd have secured her loyalty by now. But she was more than that—wealthy, influential, and strong-willed. Pushing her too hard would only result in resistance.

For now, they needed to tread carefully.
