"Looks like you two are finally awake..." Levi's voice cut through the heavy silence, followed by Floch, Hange, and Erwin, who was now completely healed. Even his arm, which had been lost to a titan while rescuing Eren from Reiner and Bertholdt, was restored.

Eren and Mikasa's grip on each other loosened as they heard the familiar voice. Eren smiled faintly, still feeling the warmth of Mikasa's embrace, wishing he could linger there a little longer. Reluctantly, he stood, his gaze shifting to Levi and Erwin.

Levi's face, as always, was unreadable, his expression stoic and cold. Erwin, however, wore a faint smile—a look of quiet fulfillment.

His lifelong dream that he shared with his deceased father had been realized: the truth about the Titans, the existence of humanity beyond the walls, and the grim revelation that the real enemy had always been humans themselves. The Titans were mere victims, enslaved by the hatred and conflicts between races.

"The hell are you smiling for?" Eren's voice cut through the air like a knife, his eyes blazing with anger. "Are you that damn amused to see us mourning over our friend's death, huh, Commander?"

Erwin's smile faded as he shook his head, caught off guard by Eren's outburst. "Is that how my soldier is gonna welcome me?" He said his voice laced with hint of dissapointment and sympathy and a little bit of guilt.

Hange stepped forward, her voice calm yet firm, trying to defuse the rising tension. "Eren, calm down"

But Eren wasn't listening. Behind him, Mikasa stood, her own anger simmering beneath the surface, wiping the last of her tears.

"Oi... that's no way to talk to your commander," Levi said, his sharp gaze locking onto Eren.

Eren scoffed, the rage twisting his features. "Tch... my ass. A commander who caused countless deaths just to fulfill his selfish objectives," he spat, his voice trembling as he clenched his fists. "Do know this Erwin Smith you've shattered multiple dreams to fulfill your own. And you'll pay for that one day."

Mikasa stood silently beside him, her rage barely contained, while the weight of Eren's accusation hung in the air, thick with grief and misunderstanding. He had no idea what he was saying. He simply blamed Erwin for no good reason but to get injured.

"Hey, Eren... You do realize Commander Erwin had nothing to do with it, right? He was unconscious the entire time. It was Captain Levi's decision," Jean said softly, resting a hand on Eren's shoulder, trying to calm him.

Levi, instead of lashing out, took a deep breath knowing those emotions. He knew what he was going through due to past incidents. He slowly approached Eren with measured steps, sensing the depth of his pain. "Eren, let me ask you one thing... What if I had revived Armin? Would that have been justified?"

Eren's eyes narrowed, his anger still bubbling beneath the surface. "What do you mean by justified?" he replied, his gaze piercing into Levi's.

"Think about it," Levi continued, his voice steady. "If Armin got the shot, how would we—or more like, how would I—convince the higher-ups that I chose a teenage kid over a well-experienced commander of the Scouts?"

Eren opened his mouth to protest, "Historia would've supported us—" but Levi cut him off. "Historia wouldn't be able to do shit. She's only been queen for a couple of months. By reviving Armin you'd just give the authorities and nobles a chance to criticize Historia's judgment since we both are well aware that she'd happily defend Armin and you guys unaware of the cost and the danger she'd be putting herself in."

Eren's eyes widened as Levi's words began to sink in, the weight of realization washing over him. He knew Levi made sense, but the anger inside him still churned.

"It doesn't matter.... We would've handled it nonetheless.... It's not that big of a deal.... If only you would've handed me the injection a bit earlier Armin.... He would be among us right now." Eren muttered his fiery gaze fixed at the three.

Hange, her face filled with disappointment, stepped in. "Stop Eren! I get your emotions but your behaviour isn't acceptable."

Finally, Erwin spoke up, his voice calm but filled with the burden of his decisions. "Eren, I'd be lying if I said I fully understand your feelings. But I am painfully aware of the lives I've sacrificed for what you call my 'selfish dreams.' Right now, I stand atop a mountain of bodies to reach where we are. But those deaths weren't in vain. Their sacrifices are the reason we've come this far—the only reason we've uncovered the truth about our world."

Erwin's gaze was steady, his words weighted with the enormity of the choices he had made. The air fell silent, the reality of the situation hanging heavy over them all.

"Stop this we get your loss.... But you're getting on my nerves now...." Levi said his voice authoritative.

Eren clenched his teeth, his hand covering his face in frustration. "All my damn life, I've drained myself for this regiment... did every last thing to make the expeditions a success. Even became a victim to Hange's experiments, when she forced me to transform again and again until I passed out..."

His words came out raw, each syllable heavy with bitterness. Hange's eyes widened as the truth of his pain hit her—the grueling process that had hardened Eren wasn't something easily forgotten.

"And you guys," Eren continued, voice rising with each word, "used me. All of you, just for your own personal benefits. And the one time—just once— when I ask for a favor, to save the person who meant the most to me, this is how I'm treated? Now I realize... I'm nothing but your pawn, nothing else."

He stared at Erwin, fury glinting in his eyes. "Tell them commader, when your right arm got chopped off, you couldn't recover for weeks and would usually pass out due to the pain. I've felt that pain countless times, yet I kept pushing forward... just so I could witness the sea with Armin."

"I'm fucking done. Done with everything and everyone."

With that, Eren swiftly ripped the Scout Regiment badge from his jacket, the sound of fabric tearing through the tense air. "The titans can be killed from here on with the powers of colossal titan. I resign from this regiment," Eren declared, turning his back on everyone. His heart pounded with the finality of his decision.

As he started to walk away, his gaze caught Mikasa's. She stood there, her jacket already removed, her intent clear. There was a faint smile on her red, tear-streaked face—a smile that held pain but also unwavering loyalty. "Hey, what are—" Connie stammered, disbelief painted across his face.

Before Eren could say anything, Mikasa had already spoken. "If Eren leaves, so do I." Her voice was calm but resolute.

Eren's anger softened for a brief moment as he smiled faintly at her. He reached out, his hand ascending toward Mikasa's, ready to take her with him.

But before their hands could meet, Erwin's voice cut through the tension, deep and steady. "But what if I told you... the real enemies aren't the titans but someone else? The enemies responsible for the deaths of your loved ones."

Eren froze, his body stiffening, eyes widening as the weight of Erwin's words settled on him. His voice shook as he turned to face the commander. "What... what did you just say?"
