Chapter 7: Divine Rocket Launcher, Basic Taming Skill

In the top-floor apartment, room 902, Zeng Shen placed Little Black and Little White in their beds and softly called out:

"Lottery Wheel."

Instantly, a virtual wheel, visible only to him, appeared before his eyes.

The wheel resembled an interface from a card-drawing game, with a line of small text at the bottom.

Gold cards are guaranteed only after a thousand draws, but getting one in ten would be a huge win!

As Zeng Shen considered this, a series of prompts sounded in his mind.

"What are these cards for?"

Zeng Shen's face showed surprise as he quickly summoned his inventory to check.

[Small Rice Seed Card: Scatter in divine space to create an acre of small rice field containing divine energy, capable of reproduction in the divine space.]

[Small Open-Pit Iron Mine Card: Deploy in divine space to create a small open-pit iron mine containing divine energy.]

"So these White Cards are for future use in a divine realm."

Understanding the purpose of these 8 White Cards left Zeng Shen somewhat speechless.

These cards are too basic.

They are of no use now, as he hasn't accumulated enough faith to create a divine realm. They are merely taking up space in his inventory.

Fortunately, these White Cards only occupy one inventory slot.

With the two prompts, Zeng Shen perked up, eagerly looking at the Green Card in his inventory.

"Sounds powerful just from the name."

"Too bad Blue Star's accumulated divine energy hasn't erupted yet, so I can't test its power. It'll have to stay in storage."

Zeng Shen muttered, feeling relieved as he eyed the Blue Card.

Though the ten draws didn't yield Gold, at least he got something useful.

He quickly tapped the Blue Card.

"Congratulations, host, on learning the Taming Skill."

Having played many monster-catching games as a child, Zeng Shen had always been fond of taming powerful creatures.

He never expected to acquire such a skill now.

"I must find a target to test it on."

Zeng Shen looked at Little Black and Little White on the sofa, focusing his will as he softly uttered, "Tame."

"Taming failed. The host cannot tame his own pets or intelligent races."

A prompt sounded.

"Darn, why didn't it say so earlier?"

"Looks like I'll have to find other beasts outside."

Zeng Shen muttered, getting up to make food, but suddenly felt dizzy and plopped back onto the sofa, feeling a third of his energy drained, as if he'd stayed up all night.

"It must be the mental energy used for taming."

"When the apocalypse comes, if I don't use faith for taming, I can only use the skill twice a day before needing to rest. More than three times, and I'll surely pass out."

Rubbing his head, Zeng Shen lay on the sofa to recover before preparing food in the kitchen and heading out to meet Li Yuqing.

"Where are they hiding? I haven't encountered a single prompt about them."

As Zeng Shen stepped out onto the pedestrian street's back entrance, the system prompt echoed in his mind.

Zeng Shen noted, then quickly crossed to the office building opposite the street, where an urgent prompt sounded in his mind.

The elevator doors opened.

A woman with long, white, slender legs, dressed in sexy black stockings and high heels, wearing a waist-length sheer white blouse, stood before him.

Her skin was smooth as jade, her waist slender, the sheer fabric hugging her curves, emphasizing her alluring figure.

Isn't this Liu Tongtong, a college roommate of Li Yuqing and one of the two campus beauties at Golden Sea University? 

How did she become an intelligent race and a follower of Li Yuqing?

Liu Tongtong, seeing Zeng Shen, gazed at him with charming eyes, surprised, "Shen, you're the mysterious master Li Yuqing mentioned?"

Zeng Shen stepped out of the elevator, puzzled.

"Mysterious master?"

"Li Yuqing told me this morning that our Brotherhood Studio would welcome a mysterious master this afternoon. I didn't realize she meant you."

Liu Tongtong laughed softly, her hair swaying with her laugh, her charm inviting closeness, exuding an alluring aura.

This girl's allure was criminally enticing. Zeng Shen swallowed slightly and humbly replied, "She's overestimating me. I was just playing around, not professional."

"No worries, we're not professionals either," Liu Tongtong said, her eyes twinkling, gesturing down the left hallway, "Room 1314 is an empty room bought by Yuqing's family, now our studio. I have to return to school for some things, so I won't walk you over."

"Alright."

As Zeng Shen replied, he casually cast an Eye of Insight on Liu Tongtong as she entered the elevator.
