Dai Mubai followed Ma Hongjun to a brothel, but Zong didn't know about it.
If he did know, he'd probably laugh like a pig. It seems Douluo Continent might gain a new eunuch soon.
In a small alley, Zong and Zhu Zhuqing stopped.
Suddenly, Zhu Zhuqing gave Zong a quick kiss on the cheek and whispered shyly, "You did well just now, this is your reward."
Zong froze—was she trying to tempt him into crime?
Seeing her blushing face and her lips so close, Zong couldn't hold back any longer. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her.
Zhu Zhuqing was startled at first, but as she processed what was happening, her mind went blank. She already had feelings for Zong, so she let his tongue explore her mouth, trying to awkwardly respond. In the process, she accidentally bit his tongue.
Being their first kiss, their teeth bumped into each other several times.
"Ow!" Zong yelped, feeling his lip with his hand. Zhu Zhuqing had bitten through it, and a bit of blood was trickling out.
Hearing Zong's shout, Zhu Zhuqing snapped out of her panic. She took out a handkerchief and gently wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
Seeing Zong's clumsy appearance, Zhu Zhuqing couldn't help but smile. For a moment, she even forgot to feel embarrassed.
"Serves you right. Who told you to sneak attack me?"
Zong's face twitched a bit. "Do I really need to sneak attack my own girlfriend? It's called going with the flow! Ever heard of being overcome by emotions? Besides, weren't you the one who kissed me first?"
Of course, he didn't dare say that out loud. Otherwise, he might never get another kiss.
Zong smiled and said, "I can't help it. My little kitty is so cute, I couldn't control myself."
Zhu Zhuqing shot him an angry glare, but she was secretly pleased. What girl doesn't like being complimented by her boyfriend? Even the cold Zhu Zhuqing was no exception.
"Quit joking around. What do you want? You didn't come here just to kiss me, did you? And what's going on with you and Rongrong? You two seem like you know each other—tell me everything."
When she mentioned Ning Rongrong, Zhu Zhuqing's tone became more serious. With Xiao Wu as a past example, she was now extra cautious. Xiao Wu was Zong's childhood friend, and Zhu Zhuqing couldn't do anything about that. But Ning Rongrong was her best friend, and she wasn't about to let her get caught up in something similar.
Zong gave an awkward smile. "I just bumped into Miss Ning once in Suotuo City. That's it. Nothing more."
Zhu Zhuqing still wasn't convinced. "Look me in the eyes."
"Uh..." Zong obediently complied, looking just like a well-behaved husband.
After a moment of staring, Zhu Zhuqing's expression finally softened. "Alright, you pass. So, what did you want to talk to me about?"
Zong wiped away imaginary sweat from his forehead, thinking, Are all women this sharp these days?
Clearing his throat, Zong grew serious. "Zhuqing, look into my eyes."
He activated his Sharingan. Zong's eyes closed briefly and when they opened again, his pupils had turned blood-red, with three spinning tomoe inside.
Zhu Zhuqing stared into his eyes.
After a moment, Zong's eyes returned to normal.
"What was that?" Zhu Zhuqing gasped. Although only a short time had passed, after looking into Zong's eyes, her mind was filled with knowledge she hadn't possessed before.
Zong explained, "That's my second martial spirit, the Sharingan. I just transferred to you some information I've been organizing for the past few days—a set of combat techniques tailored to your fighting style, along with some soul power control techniques, and a new soul power meditation method. With these, your training speed and combat abilities should improve significantly."
The combat techniques came from Uchiha Itachi, slightly modified by Zong. The soul power control techniques included improvements to the Body Flicker Technique and others. As for the meditation method, Zong had adapted the one Grandmaster had stolen, improving it based on the Nine Yang Divine Skill, which women couldn't practice. Having tested all this on himself and Xiao Wu, Zong was confident Zhu Zhuqing would benefit greatly from it.
"Mhm." Zhu Zhuqing nodded and snuggled into Zong's arms. She didn't ask about his second martial spirit or where he had learned such extraordinary knowledge. She only needed to know that her man had given it to her, and that was enough.
Zong whispered softly in her ear, "Zhuqing, trust me, I'll protect you for the rest of my life. If anyone tries to take you away from me, they'll have to step over my dead body first."
"Mhm."
"Here are some kunai and shuriken. You can practice with them."
"Mhm."
"Zhuqing, I love you."
"Mhm."
"Zhuqing, it's so late now. How about you just don't go back tonight?"
"Mhm—wait, what?" Suddenly, a vein popped on Zhu Zhuqing's forehead. She raised her foot and stomped on Zong's.
"Ow!" Zong's scream echoed through the alley.
"You were talking so sweetly, and in the end, that's what you were waiting for?" Zhu Zhuqing scoffed. Channeling soul power into her feet, she vanished with a few quick steps, leaving Zong standing there in pain.
As he rubbed his sore foot, Zong watched her disappear, nearly in tears from the pain. "She picked that up fast. I just wanted to cuddle, didn't mean anything else! Was that really necessary?"

At the entrance to Suotuo City's Soul Arena
Oscar and Ning Rongrong were sitting in a teahouse. Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai had gone to the brothel, Tang San and Meng Yiran had already left, and only Ning Rongrong had stayed behind to wait for Zhu Zhuqing. Oscar stayed with her, worried about her being alone.
Suddenly, Ning Rongrong thought she heard a scream in the distance.
Frowning, she asked, "Oscar, did you just hear a scream?"
Oscar shook his head. "No, Rongrong, you must have imagined it."
"That's odd. I could have sworn I heard it. It sounded like it came from the alley Zhuqing and her boyfriend went into. And I think it was Zong who screamed."
Oscar yawned. "You're probably just tired and hearing things. That guy even beat Dai Mubai—who could possibly hurt him? Unless..."
He stopped short, but didn't finish his thought.
"Unless what?" Ning Rongrong's eyes brightened.
"Nothing, nothing!" Oscar quickly denied it.
Suddenly, a shadow flickered in the distance. Oscar hurriedly moved to protect Ning Rongrong and called out, "Who's there?"
The figure stepped into the light. "Rongrong? Oscar?"
