Elara’s Confusion

Elara practically flew out of the room, her heart thudding in her chest. What had she just done? She pressed her back against the wall outside the studio, trying to catch her breath, her mind replaying the scene with Amara. The way Amara had stumbled over her lines, looking like a deer caught in headlights during their "romantic" scene, was still fresh in her mind. A small smile crept onto her lips.

What the hell was that? Elara asked herself. She wasn't the type to get all fluttery over a practice scene. And yet, here she was, feeling… good. Really good. Too good. Was she happy about the way Amara had reacted? Did it give her some sort of satisfaction seeing the normally composed Amara turn into a flustered mess?

Damn right it did.
