"Now, this is shocking! What is wrong with him?" Jessica wondered aloud as Bryan left the place angrily.
"I still don't know why I am here in the first place, then you with your power made you your slave in the cell and now you are being over protective.."
"Anyway, Let me just face my work and finish on time. I need to rest!" She decided to forget about him and his strange behavior and went back to what she was doing.
"Oh no, I can't stop thinking about him ..." She sighed.
"He is so annoying yet I can't get angry at him!" She groaned.
"I mean, I know he is protecting me but he is doing it in such an annoying way. His ways of doing things are always different!" She said and looked back at where he had stopped when he came to her rescue.
"But ...." She shrieked, out of the blues and her expression changed.
"... how can a man be that aggressively protective of a girl and her heart won't skip a beat?" She asked and burst into laughter.
"Yes, I admit it. He did made my heart fluttered a bit when he appeared like my savior."
"Don't you dare lay your hand on her!" She mimicked him and chuckled softly.
"That sounded so alluring. He can be so charming at times, really! Too bad, he isn't a normal man, I would have fallen for ..." She trailed off when she realized someone was in the kitchen with her. The person had walked in slowly and quietly.
"Hi, please! Please, I need your help." Jessica heard a meek voice before she even turned around.
"You are a male?" She was shocked that the owner of the meek voice wasn't a female.
"Yes, please!" The guy stated, without looking at her face.
"He is shy? Oh my, how did someone like him end up here?" She wondered as she looked at him pitifully.
"He looks young... Maybe he hasn't even clocked 20 yet. Probably 19!" She observed inwardly.
"Please, I need a cup of hot water. My throat is sore. Can I get that from you, please?" The guy asked her politely. Jessica was flustered. She had never been spoken to, in such a polite manner, since she got to the prison.
"Yeah, sure!" She replied him, with a dry chuckle.
"Thank you very much, I appreciate it." The guy said to her and even bowed a little. There, she couldn't hide her amusement, anymore. She laughed.
"Oh my God! You don't have to be so polite." She told him.
"Uh, okay. Thank you" The guy said again. Jessica looked at her and she saw he seemed really uncomfortable.
"He is strange..." She observed discreetly.
"It will take a while as there is no hot water available, at the moment. I hope you don't mind?" She asked him.
"No, no! I am sorry for disturbing you when you are supposed to have called it a day!" The guy apologized, with consideration.
"No, it is fine. Normally, I would have gotten angry if it is one of those rude, narcissistic men, but I don't mind since you are so polite." She assured him with a smile.
"By the way, my name is Jessica! What is yours?" She asked him excitedly, wanting to make him feel comfortable with her.
"Wilfred!" He informed her flatly.
"Okay. Can I address you as Fred?" She inquired.
"Yes, please." He replied again, politely. Jessica laughed.
"You just got here, right?" She asked him. And the latter simply nodded in response.
"When?" She inquired further, to get words out of him.
"Uhn ..." Wilfred trailed off as he looked up like he remembered something then he suddenly went silent.
"What is th ..." She wanted to ask him what was wrong but she decided against it.
"I better stop poke nosing!" She stated inwardly and they both stayed quiet until the hot water was ready.
"Here you go!" She handed the cup of water to him.
"Thank you very much, Jessica!" He said to her and walked out of the kitchen.
"Why do I feel there is something off about him?" She wondered and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"I should apologize, right?" Jessica asked herself inwardly as she stepped into her cell and met her roommate just staring into space.
"I bet he felt offended that I didn't appreciate his kindness towards me." She thought and went to sit on her bed first.
"Huh!" She heard Bryan heaved a sigh.
"I can swear that, this is the first time I would be seeing him sighing heavily and loudly. Is he that upset with me?" She wondered in panic.
"No, I really should have a word with him. I don't want to seem like an ingrate." She decided and stood up.
"He is just a brainless wealthy boy, who thinks he has the whole world at his father's feet. If I can find something to fascinate him, something rare that he has never gotten his hands on ..." Bryan was contemplating on what to do concerning Matt when Jessica walked up to him and interrupted his conversation with his inner self.
"Hi Master! Am I the reason you are sulking like this..." She was going to apologize but he butt in.
"Excuse me?" He was befuddled.
"Yeah, I understand your anger. I am sorry for cutting you off like that. I know you meant well for me but you were doing it in an ..." Bryan didn't allow her to finish her sentence again.
"Okay, you can go." He said, flatly.
"You are still angry ..." She insisted.
"What should I do to make you feel better? I am down for anything that will convey my gratitude." She informed him.
"This woman just doesn't know when to stay quiet!" He groaned.
"Leave my sight now!" He bellowed at her, angrily. Jessica flinched from the sudden noise. She panicked as she wanted to walk away and tripped. He quickly grabbed her hand and drew her closer to prevent a fall but she was unbalanced and fell on him.
"Did I just kiss him?"
