He Couldn’t Prove Me Wrong

Ava's POV:

Cynthia and I finally arrived at the club and stayed in the car watching people walk in and out.

"Won't we go in?" She asked, and I stared at her. I don't know why I was feeling hesitant to go in there.

"Let's go," I walked down the car, and Cynthia followed me. The club wasn't so crowded as today wasn't a weekend.

We found our way to the bar and sat on the vacant seats before I signaled for the bartender to give us two shots.

"It's been long since I came to such places." Cynthia whispered, and I nodded, me too. It's been long since I had fun for myself.

"It's all thanks to Yan then; if he didn't take the kids, then how would it have been possible?" I chuckled. It would have been impossible for the both of us to go out at once if the kids were around.

"Admit it, you came here to piss him off," she laughed, and I didn't admit it, but she was right.
