Guessing.

Nearly a week later when Loki hadn't found anything in the library even after scouring for information about the founders or even people close to them, Loki was on the verge of giving up but a random idea popped into his mind and he wanted to test it out.

'I know the Bowl can only take a few more hits before it breaks but I want to try something out.' Loki thought looking at the crystal containing Salazar Slytherin.

'And given how no students have gotten sick over the week, I will be killing two birds with one stone.'

He set up the required items after creating a wall of spirituality to isolate himself from the rest of the world and proceeded.

With a single candle on the altar that was lit with his spirituality, Loki used a deep tone and spoke in ancient Latin.

'

I

I summon in my name

The creature that roams the grey fog,

The creature that is as long as history,

The creature that holds dominion over death,

The contracted creature of Salazar Slytherin.

'

The space above the candle tore open as a small slithering head peered out of it and looked at Loki.

*Hiss~ss*

"He says it's nice to meet you and is asking what you called it for." Sunny translated while sitting comfortably inside Loki's pocket since it was inching closer to winter and getting colder with each passing day.

"Isn't it risky to travel through the spirit world while being so small?" Loki asked confused.

*Hiss~ss*

"It's more comfortable and easier to travel the Spirit world this way he says since he has an item Salazar Slytherin gave him." Sunny translated.

"I understand." Loki nodded, he could see how inconvenient it would be for only a Sequence 8 to roam through the spirit world where the Law of Convergence of Beyonder Characteristics would undoubtedly bring trouble your way.

"Do you know what is to be done with that basket?" Loki asked pointing at the basket attached to the crystal with Salazar Slytherin inside it.

The Basilisk looked at where Loki was pointing and *hissed* as soon as it spotted Salazar Slytherin in the crystal.

The snake slipped out of the portal and landed on the marble floor, slithering toward the crystal. It went around the crystals jutting out of the ground and looked at all four crystals, hissing oddly at various points, making comments that Sunny did not feel the need to translate.

After a few spins around everyone, the Basilisk increased in length and climbed the crystal Salazar Slytherin was in and moved inside the basket attached to him.

Loki watched the entire process with bated breath, wondering what the legendary serpent was doing.

The lights in the room dimmed once again as the crystal began to glow.

A faint hum sounded in the air as the basket began to tremble but the snake had already reduced its size and fit perfectly into the basket.

Loki thought the snake would be a little fearful of what was going on but it stood perfectly still and only raised its head a little, watching what was going to happen in anticipation.

An ethereal mist separated from the crystal that was glowing and had become the centre of attraction in the room, flowing slowly like a stream as it moved into the serpent's body.

The snake shuddered and its tail rattled but just as quickly as the mist had gotten absorbed into the serpent's body it was ejected out and rushed back into the crystal.

As the mist left, the Basilisk flew out of the golden bowl and crashed some distance away into the marble floor shocking Loki.

Loki quickly moved towards the snake and began to examine it carefully trying to spot any damages within it with his spirit vision.

'Damn, it's gotten darker.'

There was clear damage to the snake's internals and as if to corroborate Loki's discovery the snake withered and twisted around the floor in pain.

*Hiss~ss*

"The snake's saying it needs to go back and rest. Also, the bowl needs something precious to Salazar, perhaps his locket would do."

"Locket?" Loki asked confused. "Do you know how it looks?" Loki asked the Basilisk.

*Hiss~ss*

"It is an eight-sided silver locket with a green 'S' in the centre." Sunny translated and Loki picked up the snake to try and help it get back into the spirit world.

The snake slithered across Loki's fingers and moved back into the spirit world before Loki could get a word in after it *Hissed*.

"It said, it wished you luck on your journey to wake up its master."

"....huh…so a locket huh?" Loki mumbled as the portal into the spirit world closed.

'Well, at least I saved some time trying to search for this information in the library.'

Loki blew out the candle that he'd used to summon the Basilisk and went back to the glowing crystals as a single thought lingered in his mind.

'If I want to do something to 'Her', I at the very least need a True God's help. Even if it is just to stay safe from 'Her'.'

'Especially when the Aurora Order is also involved in all of this because that means even One-Eyed Jesus is involved in this somehow.'

With a solemn look on his face, Loki left the 'Puzzle Room' and walked back to his room.

As he entered inside, Loki pulled out the vial of Unicorn Blood that was inside his pocket and looked at it.

'Damn…'

The blood in his vial that was supposed to be silvery and ethereal was now murky and carried a pungent stench.

'It's clear now. At least her motive is.'

'Clearly, 'Her' actions are related to my attempts at waking up Salazar Slytherin who is one of the founders.'

'The question is, is 'She' aiming to make the students sick or is it a by-product of her actions while doing something else?'

'Perhaps that is just a result of her madness? 'She' can't perfectly control 'Her' powers yet?'

'But that still leaves the question, what is her aim?'

Loki looked at the vial in his hand and then put it on the table alongside the Necklace of Giants so that he could purify it and have it ready for tomorrow.

After the purification process was completed, and the blood in the vial was back to its silvery shine, Loki looked at the Ring of Harvest on his finger.

'I can't even use divination recklessly in this matter.'

'Even diving about her above the grey fog might alert her of my actions....now that I think about it…what if she figures out that I'm the one responsible for waking up the founders?'

Loki frowned deeply and then shuddered a little before promising himself-

'I need to stay safe…'

'And One-eyed Jesus's motives are still not clear.'

'And what is 'Adam' doing? Why does 'He' want to help 'Her'? In LOTM one-eyed Jesus and Adam were neither friends nor enemies for the most part…is their relationship better in this world? Is that why 'Adam' is working with him?'

'But then is 'Adam' really the Ancient Sun God? That probably isn't the case since 'Adam' has a clear birthday and has clearly grown up alongside other people as his life is recorded clearly in history…'

'Why are 'They' doing whatever they are doing…?'

'Something related to the founders…but what?'

Loki patiently tried to think of any reasons why this was happening but he was already feeling tired so he fell asleep in the comfort of his bed.
