"Here you go.", Loki said pulling out a bag full of alchemical items which he handed over to Fred and George.
"Is everything here?" George asked with an expectant smile.
"Yes. I fixed all of it, and even improved a few of the potions." Loki said with a smile.
"And the steps!?" Fred asked rhetorically since he could see a bundle of papers stuffed into the bag filled with an assortment of diagrams and dissertations.
"Yeah, they're all inside it too.", Loki said with a smile that couldn't contain his excitement for holding the parchment that Fred and George had tempted him to do the work in the first place.
"Ha! Today's surely a good day! We won against Slytherin and you've gotten us our bounty!" George said with a big smile.
"What can I say, it must be your lucky day.", Loki said with a smile and nodded.
"Here you go.", Fred said with little reluctance but he eventually handed over the map to Loki. "We've managed to figure out the way to activate and deactivate the map, here," George said as he brought out the parchment and tapped on it while saying, "I solemnly swear that I'm upto no good."
The simple parchment transformed into a map right in front of Loki's justifiably enamoured eyes and then Fred interrupted with a different phrase as he said with the tap of a wand, "Mischief managed." and under Loki's ecstatic gaze the map turned into an ordinary parchment once again.
'I can't wait to get my hands on the thing and figure out how it works.' Loki thought and stretched out his hands to take the parchment.
Loki was so excited he missed the potion digestion feedback he was getting from the twins by acting as the 'real' enchanter of the Arcadia Royal cards.
"Take good care of it alright?" The twins said as they reluctantly parted away with the precious artefact.
"I promise to do my best.", Loki said and the two parties parted ways with the Weasley twins excited to go to their common room and learn about all things alchemy with how much Loki had helped them, while Loki rushed toward his room in the Slytherin dungeons to study the unique map.
Entering the room and locking it behind himself, Loki pulled out the parchment and began to supply his spirituality into it to study how it was made.
'There's a rune corresponding to permission, but permission from what?'
Loki explored a little more, trying to understand the complicated array of runes that had been sewn into the parchment with care and precision.
As soon as Loki studied the parchment under his focused gaze he realised something unique.
'Huh…it uses the Hogwarts wards?'
'How did it get the permission to connect to the wards though?'
'Ah…is it the headmaster that allowed for the artefact to be made?'
'But then that brings up the question, who were Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs? Why did the headmaster allow them to make such an artefact? But then why allow the artefact to track him?'
'Surely he doesn't want his privacy violated?'
'*sigh* complicated.' Loki thought with a frown.
Taking a look at his pocket watch Loki realised it was already time to have dinner and he appeared to be a little late so he quickly got up and was about to go to the Great Hall, when he saw something on the map that spooked him and caused the hairs on his neck to rise.
'Did that just happen.' Loki wondered looking at the map with caution.
'Where is he going though?'
'The girl's toilet?'
'Huh? What?'
As Loki observed the name it slowly vanished from the map.
'Did that just happen?'
'Did I just see a girl transform into a man and then go into the girl's toilet on the second floor?'
'What?'
Loki still feeling the chill calmly tapped the map with his wand and whispered, "Mischief Managed." turning the map back into a normal parchment and pocketing it into his robes to safely stuff it away.
'I guess, now that I have a suspect all I need to do is find out how she? He? They? Work.'
'Do I inform someone?'
'A professor would be good and I'm sure Snape would believe me, but…why do I have this feeling I can do something else? Can I benefit from this? Perhaps I can swindle someone or something?'
oki performed the ritual to go above the grey fog and there he pulled the Ring of Harvest and the Topaz pendulum to perform a divination.
"I should not inform anyone else about my discovery regarding the Chamber of Secrets."
"I should not inform anyone else about my discovery regarding the Chamber of Secrets."
"I should not inform anyone else about my discovery regarding the Chamber of Secrets."
…
"I should not inform anyone else about my discovery regarding the Chamber of Secrets."
As soon as Loki opened his eyes he noticed the pendulum swinging clockwise slowly.
'*sigh* it seems I have some work to do and benefit from this new event.'
'Though, I should make careful preparations so I'm not stuck in some ungodly fight between high-sequence Beyonders like last year.'
'Especially between Mr. Adam and Mr. You-Know-Who.'
Coming out of the grey fog Loki used the Marauder's map to wait for the name to show up once again in the Girl's toilet but the name showed up surprisingly close to Hospital Wing where another student was. His name was Colin Creevey.
The name Tom M. Riddle showed up for a few seconds before it once again vanished into thin air and left Colin frozen in place.
'How's he travelling around Hogwarts?'
'Through the shadows?'
'How's he petrifying them?'
Loki stepped into the Great Hall with a contemplative look on his face and nearly ran into a red-headed girl who was running through to reach the Great Hall before him.
Loki recognised the girl immediately but did nothing to attract her attention and just apologised calmly and walked towards the Slytherin table.
'Ginevra Molly Weasley.' Loki thought as he looked at the redhead girl who was stuffing herself with food without talking to anyone at the table.
Rubbing his index finger on the thumb Loki activated Spirit Vision and immediately noticed just how sick Ginny was.
'She's got barely a year to live.' Loki noted.
Seeing the nonchalant manner she was eating in Loki wondered, 'Does she not know what the other person is doing with her body?'
'And how is he affecting her anyway?'
'I'm pretty sure there's only a single soul on her based on the aura she's radiating, there's no overlap with anything else, especially not something dark and dangerous.'
'And what's that feeling of wealth that's attracting me from her pockets?'
Loki stared at Ginny for a while but said and did nothing and continued eating his dinner peacefully.
When Ginny finally got up, Loki walked behind her and tailed her.
Only when he spotted Ginny returning to the Gryffindor common room did he stop tailing her, slipping away while thinking of a plan to know more about her.
'I need something to keep track of her whereabouts and actions so that I can know what's possessing her.'
'Something that can conceal itself and wouldn't arouse suspicion.'
'I think I have just the right way to achieve this, but it feels a little risky.'
Loki contemplated for a while longer before he firmed his eyes and made up his mind to do what he had to.
'Hopefully 'He' isn't alerted by what I'm doing.'
'I should go to Hagrid. This Chamber of Secrets business must probably have him scared.'
