One by one, the announcer called forth the representatives of the sixteen cities, summoning the participants from the underground staging area where they had been preparing.

Each city's champions were introduced with a brief description of their accomplishments and fighting styles, drawing cheers and gasps from the crowd. The excitement in the colosseum built steadily as the audience anticipated the dramatic battles that lay ahead. The participants, too, could feel the weight of expectation pressing down upon them, but it only served to fuel their determination.
