New Goal

Neo left the corner where he sat with Aesop and went to another corner where he reunited with Michael and Jerry.

About thirty minutes later, the senior final year boys all erupted into a frenzy of excitement.

It's starting! The dance is starting!

Let's so see the girls! Let's see them shake their assets for us!

Neo couldn't help but feel the excitement of his classmates rubbing off on him.

Neo followed them back to auditorium, where the main party was reaching it's climax. Neo felt thousands of butterflies fly happily in his stomach as he watched the leader of the dance, Charlotte, lead the dance to the best of her abilities.

Charlotte was a natural dancer, the way her body moved was in a natural sync with the beat of the music that was playing. Even though they were all doing the same dance, her's just stood out and it was much more thrilling to watch. Maybe it was because of her ravishing beauty.

Charlotte was Neo's Ex-girlfriend, she was the only girl that Neo had ever dated during his high school days. Even till now, Neo still didn't know why they broke up or what even led to their seperation. It all happened in what seemed like a flash to him.

Charlotte was very pretty, her hair was long and straight and fluffy, Her quadmire eyes radiated a feeling of mystique and awe, while her red lips accentuated her perfect figure and sent desire into any older male that stared at her.

Charlotte danced freely as the crowd cheered and roared in excitement. She looked up, only to see Neo staring at her. Charlotte flashed a smile and continued her dance.

Yeeeeeeehhhh!!!!

Neo heard the sudden excited shout of Jerry who stood near him. What the hell!!? Did you see that!? She smiled at me! Did you see it!?

Neo stared at Jerry amusedly, the boy seemed really happy and he wouldn't be one to ruin the boy's happiness.

Neo patted him with a smile. Yeah, I saw it. She totally smiled at you.

After the dance, the graduating final year students all all regrouped and went back to their class. They spent most of the party inside their class, some of them drinking and smoking.

Neo was returning to the class when he saw Charlotte.

Hey Neo, we're gonna go play a game, wanna come along?

Neo looked at Michael, then glanced at Charlotte. No, I'll join you guys later.

Okay. Michael answered and disappeared back into the class.

Neo approached Charlotte, who seemed to be doing something on her phone. An awkward feeling closed in on him immediately.

Hi...Neo muttered.

Charlotte turned around, put her phone back into her pocket and Neo now had her full attention.

Hi. Charlotte replied. Neo smiled.

Neo wasm't in any way ugly, he was tall and well built, his smile was dazzling and he had a masculine look that most girls found very attractive.

Neo spoke. I just wanted to say, nice performance...Your dance was really cool. It should have been given an award.

As he said the last part, Neo actually brought out an award. It was a golden frame of a lady that was dancing.

Woah! Charlotte exclaimed on sighting the gift.

Charlotte smiled as she accepted the award. It was a very pretty and melting smile. Charlotte gazed at her Ex-boyfriend. Thanks a lot.

Neo nodded. You look very pretty today.

Charlotte smiled coyly. It was the same smile that stole Neo's heart a long time ago. You're not looking bad yourself.

Charlotte stared at Neo, not even knowing why she broke up with the young, gentlemanly boy in front of her. Breaking up with him now seemed to be the most stupid acion she had ever taken.

They both stared at each other for a while before Neo sudenly snapped out of it. I better go now.

Neo...Charlotte called, her voice was low and missing.

Mmh? Neo turned around.

Charlotte closed the distance between them, her cheeks were flushed red as she spoke. I err...I just wanted to tell you that I'd be leaving for the United Kingdom tomorrow.

Neo was surprised by this news. It was so sudden, they had just finished high school and sh was leaving immediately. Neo didn't interrupt her, he let her finish.

I also...want to apologize to you for breaking up with you, looking back, it was a very foolish action. Neo smiled in reply.

After saying this, Charlotte leaned in and she kissed him.

It was a soft kiss, time had seemed to slow down, or was it Neo's heart that accelerated much more faster?

Neo hugged her tightly before they finally bade each other good bye and parted ways.

Neo was filled with a burning spirit and a new goal. He was going to win the soccer wars tournament and win a spot in the annual trials held by the United Kingdom, then he was going to pass the trials and get to stay in U.k where he would reunite with Charlotte.
