I'm Fine

"Oh Sam, don't make a fool of yourself. I can pretend none of this happened." Andrew covered his mouth, trying very hard not to laugh out.

The counter lady, after a while of fumbling around, looked up at me and said, "Sir, I'm sorry but..."

Before she could finish, Andrew couldn't take it anymore and burst out laughing.

"See... ha ha... I told you so..."

The counter lady frowned at him, waited for his laughter to die down, and continued, "...the Shangri-La suite is occupied for the two days. Mind going with the Singapore suite instead?"

I nodded, and she proceeded to book the suite for me.

When I took over the keys, Andrew was looking at me, eyes wide open, jaw dropped.

"You... you... the card is real?!" He was still in disbelief at the possibility that my card was real.

I just smiled at him; he doesn't deserve any more of my attention.

By this time, Bobby had returned with a bottle of perfume in his hand.
