"I assume that there is something you want to speak to me about," murmured Ba'dqeel as he twirled the mahatsa juice around in his glass. Usually, he preferred this drink to be fermented, but it was too early in the morning for that.

 

The Rein smiled at Ba'dqeel as he took a sip from his own glass. "You always were able to read the room, brother," he praised as he then looked around the formal dining table. The Priest and his entourage had long since left, and even the medics and ministers he had brought with him had excused themselves long ago.

 

Only the Rein and Ba'dqeel sat at the table designed for a hundred. The sound of their knives and forks clicking against their plates was the sole sound in the room.
