Chapter 40: Purple

With its main attack method, the energy beam, rendered ineffective, the Destroyer Armor was no longer a match for Alex. Every time it attacked, Alex would absorb the energy from the Destroyer's attacks, strengthening himself. Throughout the battle, his stamina never waned, and he remained at his peak.

After reaching level 4, Energy Absorption had undeniably undergone a qualitative leap. Alex could now absorb nearly all types of energy, even those within a certain range without direct contact!

For instance, right now...

Facing an oncoming energy beam, Alex lightly clenched his right hand. As the beam approached, it twisted and quickly transformed into a glowing spear, which he then thrust into the Destroyer's body, causing a massive explosion.

However, this type of attack was merely a basic use of energy and couldn't compare to using a skill. The same amount of energy could unleash far greater power when channeled through a skill! Once again, Alex unleashed a Black Flash, sending the Destroyer flying. It could no longer easily withstand Alex's assaults, and the faceplate of the armor started showing signs of damage, though it rapidly began to repair itself.

After several more minutes of battle, Alex finally fully adapted to the level 4 Energy Absorption. His body instantly vanished from his spot and reappeared before the Destroyer Armor, gently placing his palm on its chest.

In the next moment, Black Flash was unleashed at close range, and a powerful repulsion force exploded against the Destroyer's chestplate. This attack finally pierced through its armor, inflicting severe damage!

As Alex watched the Destroyer Armor continue to repair itself, he couldn't help but admire the incredible craftsmanship of Odin in creating such an armor.

The Destroyer Armor, controlled by Loki, was clearly not using its full power. One could only imagine how formidable it would be if Odin himself wore it or controlled it.

However, Alex was now bored with the fight. The Destroyer Armor could no longer pose any threat to him. He removed his sunglasses and casually tossed them aside.

His left hand's fingers straightened and spread apart, while his right hand formed a loose grip. Staring at the Destroyer Armor, Alex's excitement reached its peak.

"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue!"

A half-human-sized azure black hole first formed to his left!

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!"

Another half-human-sized black and red singularity formed to his right. Due to the forceful activation, it appeared somewhat unstable, with black lightning constantly leaking out and destroying everything around it.

But these black lightning bolts were absorbed by Alex's Energy Absorption before they could harm him in any way!

Finally, Alex made a snapping gesture toward the Destroyer Armor and uttered the name of the powerful technique that required the fusion of two mighty techniques to be unleashed:

"Hollow Technique: Purple."

The azure black hole and the black and red singularity overlapped under the absolute control of Alex's level 4 Energy Absorption, and with the guidance of his knowledge on how to use Purple, a deep purple imaginary mass formed completely. It then surged toward the Destroyer Armor, surrounded by purple lightning!

The dazzling purple light overshadowed everything around, dimming all else. The entire world seemed to revolve around a giant purple mass rapidly moving forward, annihilating everything in its path!

In an instant, the terrifying illusionary mass passed through the Destroyer Armor and continued forward, tearing apart the desert, piercing through a mountain peak, and disappearing into the distance!

As everything calmed down, Thor and the others stood in shock, staring at the massive, dozens-of-meters-wide trench that started from where the white-haired man stood and extended beyond the horizon. Even the distant towering mountains could not withstand it; they were completely penetrated!

The once indestructible Destroyer Armor, having faced an attack strong enough to pierce space itself head-on, was nowhere to be found—not even a single piece of Uru metal remained!

In Asgard, seeing the final image transmitted from the Destroyer Armor, Loki's body went limp.

What kind of monster was this?!

In a lavish room, under a layer of transparent glass, Odin, who was in a deep slumber, suddenly opened his single eye, which reflected deep horror.

In a mysterious temple somewhere, a kindly-faced bald woman set down her tea, turned toward a certain direction, and softly said:

"Has he grown to this level already? As expected of a mysterious being that exists in the multiverse without a counterpart…"

In a hidden military base, the scene in the desert was captured by surveillance satellites and projected onto a massive screen hanging on the wall.

Colonel Stryker pointed to the enormous trench that seemed to split the desert in two and shouted:

"The white-haired mutant has grown to this extent. If we don't initiate the extermination plan now, the next time his power increases, there will be no chance to kill him. He will rule over all of America!"

Upon hearing this, a general immediately voiced his agreement:

"I agree!"

Soon, other high-ranking military officials nodded as well,

"Agree!"

"Agree!"

Within moments, everyone had agreed to initiate the plan to exterminate the white-haired demon!

Seeing this, Colonel Stryker finally smiled and addressed the gathered generals:

"Generals, the mutant suppression device and Sentinels equipped with spatial cutting capabilities are fully prepared and ready to deploy at any time!"

Minutes later, supersonic helicopters took off from the nearest military base to Alex's location, heading towards him at high speed!

At the end of the massive trench, Alex wore a bright smile as he looked at the aftermath left by the Hollow Technique Purple

At level 1, Hollow Technique Purple shouldn't have had such tremendous power. He had used the level 4 Energy Absorption to forcefully unleash a more powerful Purple, which resulted in such immense destruction!

However, even for him, this level of attack was a significant burden, causing him to breathe heavily as his internal energy was nearly depleted.

But under the effect of level 4 Energy Absorption, whether it was solar energy or ambient temperature, or even the energy from the arc reactors, it was all rapidly absorbed, causing his internal energy to recover swiftly!

Within moments, his energy was nearly fully restored, while the two arc reactors floating beside him had completely dimmed, their energy fully drained.

Looking at the completely depleted arc reactors, Alex thought to himself:

'It seems like I'll need to find Stark and get some new arc reactors, and it's probably time to prepare to obtain the Space Stone as well. Level 4 Energy Absorption should be able to handle the Space Stone…'

A moment later, after fully restoring his energy, Alex checked his gains from the battle. First and foremost, two of his skills had leveled up again…
