The two aliens looked at Deadpool, their eyes widening in surprise. They glanced at each other but stayed silent, quickly turning away and walking off without a word.
"Hey, that's just plain rude!" Deadpool called after them. He stepped forward and slapped his hand down on the shoulder of one of the aliens. But the moment he touched the alien, something unexpected happened—the alien's arm went totally limp, like it had no bones at all. It coiled around Deadpool's arm, wrapping tightly like a snake.
Deadpool blinked, genuinely surprised as the alien's arm twisted around his own, locking his arm in place like a tangled rope. Suddenly, with a sharp twist, the alien forced Deadpool's arm into an awkward angle, snapping it loudly.
"Whoa! That's next-level rude!" Deadpool shouted. But instead of backing off, he used the surprise to his advantage. Spinning his entire body, Deadpool yanked the alien off the ground with his broken arm, swinging him around and slamming him down hard onto the ground. Dust flew up as the alien hit the ground with a thud.
The alien's friend quickly rushed forward, throwing a punch aimed at Deadpool's head. But Deadpool ducked, diving out of the way just in time. He rolled over the alien he had just slammed, and in the same motion, popped his broken arm back into place with a loud snap.
Deadpool stood up, now fully in control. He lifted the alien off the ground by his snake-like arm and aimed a powerful kick toward the alien's chest. The alien tried to block, raising his hand just in time. But Deadpool shifted his movement mid-kick, his leg swinging up in a high arc to aim at the alien's head instead.
The alien, caught off guard, took the full force of Deadpool's kick to his forehead. The impact sent a shock through his skull, leaving him dizzy and stumbling. His grip on Deadpool loosened, and his snake-like arm slipped free, trying to pull back.
But Deadpool grabbed onto the arm and didn't let go. With quick, fierce movements, he delivered a series of knee strikes and punches. The other alien tried to rush forward to help, but Deadpool swiftly drew his gun with his free hand and fired a burst of shots. The bullets hit the alien square in the chest, knocking him back. The alien collapsed onto the ground, groaning in pain.
Within moments, Deadpool had both aliens defeated and lying on the ground, rolling around in pain. He placed a foot on one alien's chest, leaning over the other, who was gasping for breath.
"Seriously, why all the drama?" Deadpool said, shaking his head. "I just wanted to hear what you were talking about before you rudely walked away. So, where were we?"
The alien Deadpool had shot was groaning, clutching his chest, which now had several small bullet holes. His greenish skin looked darker around the wounds, and he was breathing heavily. Deadpool raised his gun again, aiming it right at the alien's forehead.
"Look," Deadpool said with a grin, "it's not smart to ignore me, especially after I've gone through all this trouble."
The alien's eyes widened in fear as he glanced at the gun. He hadn't realized before that it was a weapon, but now, after feeling its sting, he understood. "Wait… please!" he stammered. "What do you want to know?"
Deadpool lowered the gun slightly but kept it close. "That's better. First, let's talk about that kid inside the restaurant. I heard you say something about 'Stardust Land.' What's that all about?"
The alien swallowed, wincing in pain. "It's a place—well, more like a legend. Only people from Stardust Land have a certain trait… like the tiny, glowing spots on his clothing," he explained, grimacing with each word. "Those spots prove he's connected to that place."
Charlie, watching through Deadpool's eyes, felt a flicker of realization. He remembered seeing those small sparkles on the boy's clothes but had thought it was just a fashion choice. Now he realized they were more than that—they were marks of something much deeper.
"Alright, keep going. What's the big deal with Stardust Land?" Deadpool asked, pressing him for more details.
The alien groaned. "I don't know much. Our boss says it's an ancient race… one of the oldest in the universe. Almost all of them are gone now, but they're rumored to hold the secrets of the Void Temple. That's why so many are searching for them—anyone who wants to unlock the temple's mysteries needs them."
Deadpool twisted the alien's arm just a bit, making him wince. "That's interesting. So, you two are spies from another planet, here to look for these 'remnants' from Stardust Land?"
The alien nodded quickly, fear evident in his face. "Yes. Our boss sent us to find clues, but we only know rumors… some people believe the Stardust people are from the earliest days of the stars. They've been hunted for ages, yet no one can ever find them."
Deadpool narrowed his eyes, intrigued. "So you think that boy inside the restaurant might be one of these survivors?"
The two aliens looked at each other again. One nodded, but the other shook his head, as if unsure.
Deadpool sighed and waved his gun in a way that suggested he was losing patience. "If you keep giving me mixed answers, things are gonna get uncomfortable for you."
The alien under Deadpool's foot panicked and quickly said, "We're not sure! No one's ever actually seen a Stardust survivor. We've only heard descriptions of their traits, and that boy kind of fits the description."
"Hmm… So, do you know where this 'Stardust Land' is located?" Deadpool asked, casually lifting the gun to remind them who was in control.
The alien hesitated but eventually spoke up. "Our boss thinks there might still be clues on a planet called 'Glan' in Star Field No. 42. He sends someone to check every few years, just to be sure."
Glan… Charlie thought, recognizing the name. The "Land of Stardust" wasn't marked on any star maps, but Glan might be a place to find some answers.
Just then, the boy from inside the restaurant appeared, stretching and patting his stomach. "I'm full!" he announced happily, looking around. He noticed Hal was deep in thought and tilted his head curiously.
"What's wrong?" he asked, his tone full of innocence.
Hal looked down at the boy and gave him a reassuring smile. "Oh, nothing. Just a little change in plans. We're not going to the temple right now."
"Oh?" the boy asked, clearly intrigued. "Where are we going, then?" He didn't seem to mind at all, thrilled to be exploring new places. It was clear he had never traveled much, so everything felt like an adventure to him.
Hal's expression softened. "We're going to look for your grandfather."
