For the next few days, Hirvan found himself buried in work, assigned task after task by Yestin, the stern team leader who seemed determined to test his patience. From carrying files across departments to organizing archives and doing routine paperwork, Hirvan was treated as manual labour. Despite this, he didn't complain. The harder Yestin pushed him, the more quietly he preserved. In fact, it seemed that Hirvan's silence only made Yestin determined to get under his skin. Tasks grew heavier and more repetitive. Every day Hirvan came home, after a quick meal he would pass out from exhaustion.
By the time the weekend finally arrived, Hirvan felt he could breathe again. The break from work was long overdue.
To change his mood, he had planned to see his sons and also Benji. Their last meeting was chaotic, and he wanted to catch up with them.
