Chief Ramirez called an emergency meeting sa lahat ng agent ng Department of investigation units. Kabilang na doon ang team ni Det. Go dahil sila ay nabibilang sa unit 1.

"Here's the footage of the suspected personalities that we are invistigating!"

Ipinakita ni Det. Go sa monitor ang isang 5 unit apartment building sa may china town. Makikita roon ang imahe ng mga dayuhang namamalage sa naturang building.

They were chinese, taiwanese and koreans.

They are suspecious indeed dahil ayon sa information walang ibang nakatira sa apartment na iyon kundi sila, ibig sabihin okupado nila ang buong building but for what? 

"This is Mr. Zhang!" 

Det. Go paused the picture.

"A notorious drug criminals, He's next to Mr. Lim. Matagal ng may kaso ito but someone will always cover up for him—this jerked!"

Anito while pausing another face in the monitor.

"Beside this fucker, won't stay for long in prison pinakamataas na ang 6 months only God knows why pero malalaman natin yan—"

"Paano tayo nakakasiguro na legit itong op.?

Biglang tinigan ni Det. Go ng masama ang sinumang nagsalita, everyone of them knows how he hates being cut while talking but this time to their suprised he just let it slide.

"Now someone will going to give us a complete details before we proceed into an official op—"

"If there is someone who's being suspicious in here that could be you—Han Go!"

Napaawang ang mga labi ng ibang detectives nang marinig ang sinabi ni Det. Tolentino.

Det. Go looked up in the sky while clucthing his hands tighly, nahinuha niyang parang nananadya talaga itong hung hang.

"Rambulan na'to!" 

Anang iba na natutuwa, hindi na lingid sa kanilang lahat ang banghayan sa pagitan nilang dalawa.

Pag nagpangabot ang dalawang team leader sigurado kung di man nag rarambulan ang dalawa nag papataasan naman ng hangin.

Det. Han Go is known for being temperament kaya't ang bansag sa kanya MAY T in short for my tililing habang si Det. Tolentino naman is known for being a GFN Good for nothing.

He barely went out wala namang ibang makapalag dito kundi si det. Go.

"Oh really?"

Det. Go smirked.

"Why? you want to verify this on your own? feel free! total dito kanaman magaling eh, I'm just wondering sa lahat ng iyong operation na nahawakan wala man lang ni isang nahuli? Are you really standing up with your reputation?"

Natawa ang agent ng unit one sa narinig habang umalma naman ang agent ng unit 2.

"You—!"

Anitong umalma na hinarang naman kaagad ng team unit ni det. Go. 

Nagsitayuan din ang ibang agent na nasa ilalim ni Det. Tolentino.

"Sit down all of you!"

Hindi na mapigilang sigaw ni Chief Ramirez, biglang yatang nadagdagan ang sakit ng kanyang ulo ng makita ang mga tauhan na nagkakagulo.

"We are in the meeting right now! Kung gusto ninyong magsuntukan I'll give you that previlage right after we finished this damn work!"

Nagpaawat naman ang dalawa ng marinig ang galit na boses ni Chief Ramirez.

"Det. Tolentino, I understand that you had your personal grudge with Det. Go, I don't care about that! but accusing him being suspicious without evidence will seriously put you in trouble, do you understand?"

"Yes Sir!"

Kuyom ang mga kamaong sagot nito.

"I'm just wondering sir, where he could get that kind of information specially with those in the chinese comunity—"

"You fuckers!"

Ani Det.Go na inundayan ng suntok si Det. Tolentino pero natigil sa eri ang mga kamay ng lalaki. Narealized kasi niya kung ano ang ibig sabihin ni Det. Tolentino and he doesn't want to give a satisfaction of mocking him.

"I may sound chinese but I am not —you idiot!"

He hissed saka itinampal sa lalaki ang dala-dalang files.

"That's the evidence, kung makikita ninyo ang kanilang water consumptions. See an average household could use 12,000 gallons per month!"

Ani Det. Go na ipinakita sa kanilang lahat ang data.

"But as you see, that building itself consumed almost half of the water consumption in the whole china town, why? Ano bang meron sa building na iyan— and that's what we're going to find out!"

Det. Go said with determination.

"If there's someone running a laundry business, that would be reasonable enough but as I said the whole building is occupied by those people, saka ang ibang units they're all empty!"

"That is suspicious, indeed!"

Ani Chief Ramirez habang hinihimas ang baba. 

He already knew that there's a laboratory of illegal drugs in there, sinadya lang niya talaga pa investigahan kay Det. Go, so he would know if Det. Go is also polluted like others.

"Now, kung wala na kayong tanong then I'm done."

"Are you sure that your informant is really reliable?"

Nanunuyang tanong ni Det. Tolentino.

"We will see that, Det. Tolentino as unit 2 will be incharge of this op—"

"What—what happened to unit one?"

Napamulagat na tanong ng lalaki.

"Besides my team is already tied up, we still had a case!"

"Drop that case someone else will take over on that!"

Inis na sabi ng matandang chief, hindi na niya mapigilang bulyawan ito. He already suspected that Det. Tolentino is a rat in his department.

"Team 1 provides the information so it's obvious that team 2 will be the one who verifies it, but don't worry we're going to have a regroup, Det. Go along with Det. Sembrano they are the team leader in this op!"

"But!"

"We will wait the higher ups go signal before we start this op,understand?"

Chief said ignoring det. Tolentino's rant.

"Understand!"

Everyone said in chorus.

"Dismissed gentlemen!"

Ani Chief Ramirez, he already made up his mind. The war was already set, Mr. Ybanez is already made his move by clipping Mondejar's wings. 

Isa isa na nitong tinitira ang mga taong nagsisilbing pakpak ni Mondejar.

Standing in between might be dangerous and standing in the side is not safe either, and he could only choose the one who could give him an assurance to live!

Naputol ang kanyang pag muni-muni ng makarinig ng mga katok.

"Sir!"

It was Det. Sembrano.

"Come in!"

Nagbigay pugay pa muna si Det. Sembrano sa matanda.

"Here's the report sir!"

Chief Ramirez accepted the files and read it. Bigla nalang syang napatingin kay Det. Sembrano ng makita ang pangalan nito sa ibabang bahagi.

After Chief Ramirez read those reports he tossed in the fire. It was confidential, amd Det. Sembrano noted the old man's action.

He then stood up and looked outside through the glass walls habang nakapamulsa.

"How long you been in the service?"

Napabuntong hiningang tanong ng matandang Chief sa kanya.

"Been there since I'm capable enough to fire a gun!"

"Andito kaba to spy us or perhaps me?"

Natawa si Det. Sembrano ng marinig ang sinabi nito.

"They always reminded us that we are free folks besides whether you are in our side or not it's your choice but still my job is already set!"

"And what is that?"

Curious na tanong ng matanda.

"I heard someone told me, standing in between would get you in trouble but don't you think standing in the side is dangerous, either?"

"Indeed!"

"Just choose where you think you could stand with both feet on the ground, Sir. after all we are a free folks!"

Makahulugang sabi ni Det. Sembrano bago ito umalis.
