Chapter 80: Attack

Nightfall descended, and the dark tides churned.

The church, resplendent with stained glass.

Officer Zhang sat in the break room, frowning slightly as she looked at the new messages from her subordinates.

The police definitely had more than one stronghold. Since the area under her charge had run into trouble, she had arranged for officers to seek support from other stations. Yet, just within these couple of days, news of attacks had come in one after another.

As for the church, it was the only such place in the whole city, and no anomalies had been found there so far.

Although she had previously suspected that the church might be the hiding spot for that group, well, it seemed unlikely, to say the least.

At that moment, the priest walked in from outside, saw the worried look on her face, and asked curiously, "What happened now?"
