Ch - 71 Adrenaline?

As Harkness saw someone blocking his retreat, he immediately threw a boomerang at her. Caitlin, who had just awakened her powers, instinctively raised her hand and outstretched her palm. The air around her crackled with energy, and before the weapon could reach her, a blast of icy wind erupted from her hand, freezing the boomerang mid-air. It clattered to the ground, completely encased in a thick layer of frost.

Harkness staggered back, momentarily stunned. "What the hell…?"

While Harkness stood in shock, Caitlin looked at her hands, noticing her fingers tinged with blue and her breath coming out in frosty exhales. She could feel it now—the cold pulsing through her veins, raw and untamed, waiting to be harnessed.

Felicity, astonished by what she had just witnessed, quickly recovered from her shock and shouted, "Caitlin, can you do that again?"

"I—I think so," Caitlin stammered, still grappling with what she had just done.

Regaining his composure, Harkness snarled in anger. "You think a little ice is going to stop me?" He hurled another boomerang at her, faster and more vicious than before. But Caitlin was ready. She focused on the cold within her, letting it flow through her body and out of her hands. Another burst of icy energy shot forth, creating a wall of ice that deflected the boomerang harmlessly to the ground.

Felicity, while tending to Lyla's wound, watched in awe, her fear momentarily forgotten. "Caitlin, you're… you're a metahuman."

Caitlin didn't respond, her mind racing. She had no idea how or why this was happening, but she couldn't let that stop her. Not now. Not when her friends' lives were on the line.

Harkness, realizing that he was facing something beyond his understanding, hesitated, unsure if he should continue the fight. But it was too late to retreat.

Seeing Harkness's uncertainty, Caitlin stepped forward, her eyes locked on him, the air around her shimmering with cold. "You're done, Harkness," she said, her voice steady, almost commanding.

Though hesitant at first, Harkness didn't take Caitlin's words lightly. Angered by what he perceived as mockery, he sneered and readied another boomerang. But before he could throw it, Caitlin unleashed a powerful blast of cryokinetic energy. The icy wave hit Harkness full force, freezing him in place. His boomerang fell from his hand as his body was encased in a layer of ice.

As Caitlin stood there, realizing she had just frozen Harkness, the adrenaline began to fade. Panic set in as she feared she might have killed him. Just then, Swayam arrived at the Foundry. Noticing Caitlin's distressed state and sensing her complicated and negative emotions, he rushed over to her, taking her into his arms in a reassuring embrace.

Caitlin flinched as Swayam suddenly hugged her, unintentionally releasing her powers on him. Although her cryokinesis was far more potent than her counterpart's in the TV show, Swayam's physique was already adapted to cold, thanks to Cisco's invention, the Cold Gun, which Leonard Snart had stolen. However, this didn't matter at the moment, because as Caitlin subconsciously released her powers, the temperature around them began to drop, slowly affecting the surrounding area.

Although Swayam wasn't affected by Caitlin's powers, he realized that if she continued, she might end up freezing the entire Arrow team's secret base. Knowing her emotions wouldn't calm down easily, Swayam reluctantly used his abilities to subtly influence her emotions, helping her regain control.

All of this happened within fifteen seconds. While Swayam worked to help Caitlin control her powers, Felicity, lying near an unconscious Lyla, saw that Harkness had been defeated. She looked toward Caitlin and Swayam and noticed them embracing, both covered in a thin layer of ice with an icy-blue light radiating from their bodies.

Anxious and scared for their well-being, Felicity was about to call out when Barry, Oliver, Roy, and Diggle suddenly returned to the Foundry.
