Penny watched Lily cry while her parents consoled her. They scolded her mildly, telling Lily that they had always sensed Aiden was bad news. Unsurprisingly, Lily simply cried more, promising them she would listen to them more.

From what Penny gathered from this exchange, Lily's parents had been against Aiden from the beginning. However, instead of risking losing their only child because they couldn't accept her choice in a partner, they eventually gave in. It took a lot for Lily to realize that the man she chose was that kind of person.

The drama continued until Lily's parents suggested that Penny should rest. Ginnie was also injured, and although her injuries were mild, they decided to admit all the girls for the night. Another round of thanks and gratitude ensued, as the parents couldn't thank Penny enough before they finally left the ward.
