Mere Tools

As Lucius's driver sped through the streets, he was left alone to ponder on his discussion with Mr. White. He couldn't help but admit their meeting was immensely insightful and had changed the way he viewed the world. 

Lucius thought about this revelation, also considering the fact that Mr. White was once Lei Fei's student. If Lei Fei knew there was a limitation to how far one could go using another man's martial technique, then why didn't he share it with them?

Why did Lei Fei go ahead to teach Denis Foreman and Lucius the shadow phantom martial technique when it had no value to them?

If he taught Mr. White how to create his own martial technique, why couldn't he do the same for them?

At this point, Lucius could only conclude that Mr. White was Lei Fei's only real disciple. The Beast Whisperer and him were mere tools to Lei Fei, so he didn't bother teaching them the real thing.
