Wendy and Lyra moved stealthily through a hidden path in the village, their footsteps quiet on the winding trail.

The blue stone village, once renowned for its vast fields and bountiful harvests, had shrunk significantly since the magical beasts' invasion.

The villagers, forced to cede large portions of their farmlands, had purchased magical items from the Confederate capital, now under Magmon's control, to erect protective walls.

These walls, though effective against low-class magical beasts, were vulnerable to higher-class creatures and required immense magical energy to maintain.

As a result, the villagers had implemented a rotation system, activating the walls from dawn to noon and relying on village fighters to patrol the perimeter from noon to sunset.

With the walls down, Wendy and Lyra seized the opportunity to execute their plan, their magical items cloaking their presence from the patrolling fighters.
