“No,” Tomoya answered.
“They mean destruction. Anything or anyone with these marks are bound to be destroyed. He also made a deal with the girl you were talking about earlier,” he didn’t say the name as it would trigger Takumi.
“Chances are, he’s either cursed, given that he’s marked, a spiritualist, or a seer. They are the only ones capable of performing deals, trades… and such.”
“A seer?” Kathleen echoed when she remembered something. It’s vague, but she’s sure it wasn’t just a part of her distorted memory. “Right! Before I passed out, Christian said something about a seer—a seer who seeks death... from personal gain?”
Her statement sounded like a question, but her eyes travelled to Theresa who stood quiet beside Tomoya in front of her, near Christian’s shoulder. Kathleen saw her throat moved up and down as though she’s been suspected.
“A seer,” she muttered as her brows met.
