Chapter 14

Vince sighed tiredly as he opened the door to his house. Exhausted from the energy he used do to his earlier confrontation with Kiba. (I need to be more careful, while getting angry makes my water and lightning more potent it also makes me tire out faster.)

"Vince!" A voice called out.

Just as soon as Vince opened the door he was hugged from behind by Rias. "What the hell?!"

"I'm glad that both of you are safe." Rias said hugging him.

Vince pulled away from Rias walked in the door with her, after closing it he turned to her with a raised eyebrow. "What happened to you Rias? I thought you were pissed."

"I heard from Sona on what happened earlier she saw that you nearly got into a fight with those two from the church." Rias stated, pulling him into a hug as she continued. "Are you injured? I know they gave their word not to harm Devils but you're not one and I heard that you placed that Excalibur Destruction close to your heart."

"...Oh that, I wouldn't worry about that. I had a plan incase she did go through with it." He replied.

Rias hugged Vince tighter causing his eye to twitch in annoyance. (Ugh, out of all of the times for my horomones to act up. Dammit.)

He sighed and pulled away from her. "Don't worry about it Rias. You're overeacting."

"Aaah, Vince. I'm glad... If something were to happen to you, I... " She trailed off.

"You what?" Vince asked folding his arms.

"N-Nothing. I thought that the worst might have happened to you Vince. I prepared for the worst scenario you know...? If I were to bid farewell to you after we had an argument, then I would have regretted it till death. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have stormed off like that." Rias said sadly.

Vince sighed as he patted her head. "Don't worry about it Rias. Anyway, you're not mad anymore, right?"

Rias nodded slightly before she looked at him. "Vince, what type of relationship do you have with Helena and Yasaka?"

"Helena is one of my employers and Yasaka is a good friend of mine from Kyoto." He explained simply, while leaving out the important details.

"I see, that's interesting to know." She said breathing a sigh of relief.

"You make it sound like you were jealous." Vince stated.

"I was not jealous!" Rias shouted as her face turned slightly red from embrassment.

"Sure you weren't." He commented with a knowning smirk.

"Anyway, why did you just come home now? It's very late out." She asked trying to skip the topic.

Vince noticed this but didn't comment on it. "Kiba happened."

"Yuuto, what happened?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

Vince then went into an explanation about what happened between him and Kiba during the park. Making sure to go into explain everything in detail. "...After I burned him with some scald I twisted his arm and dropped his body in the middle of the park. Don't worry, I called 911 before I left. They probably picked up his body by now."

Rias looked at him in disbelief. "I know Yuuto was wrong for letting his anger get to him, but did you have to do that to him? It was a bit overexcessive burning him with scald and twisting his arm."

[The scald was unintenional. Vince's Sacred Gear strongly reacts to his anger. Kiba-san upsetted Vince so much that his water was hot enough to scald him.] Yume spoke, surprising Vince.

Rias also looked surprised at the information but nodded before turning to him. "Why did you twist Kiba's arm?"

"I just wanted him to feel some pain for him pissing me off." He replied with a shrug.

She shook her head and sighed. "I see. Well, I'll have to tell Asia so she can heal Kiba tommorow after school."

"Alright then." Vince said as he started walking.

"Vince wait." Rias grabbed his arm and looked at him with a worried look. "Can I sleep with you tonight?"

Vince's eyes slightly softened as he saw her worried look and nodded. "Sure, but just for tonight okay?"

Rias smiled brightly and hugged him tightly. "Thank you Vince."

He nodded hesistantly and awkwardly patted her back. "...Your welcome."

"Anyway, before we go to bed we should make something to eat and take a shower." He replied as he walked into the kitchen with her.

"Yes." Rias then looked at him with a seductive smile. "Do you want to take a bath with me Vince? We could wash each others back."

Vince poked Rias' forehead with a small blush on his face. "Behave Rias, besides that would mean we would have to wash each others fronts."

Rias pouted as she rubbed her head. "I wouldn't mind and that hurted."

"I didn't know you were that delicate to get hurt by simple poke from a human." He teased with a small grin.

Her eye twitched at the jab as she took out some ingredients from the refrigerator. "Haha. Very funny, Vince."

Rias and Vince then started making themselves something to eat with the ingredients. With the two going into their usual conversation about anime and manga. With them occasionally making jabs at each others preferences.

After Rias took her bath and Vince took his shower the two lied down next to each other on the futon, with Rias naked.

Vince sighed as he felt Rias hug him closely, with her breasts pressed up against his chest. He then looked the other way. (Just what the hell happened to Rias for her to develop a habit of sleeping naked?)

"Is something wrong Vince?" Rias asked after noticing him look the other way.

"Nothing. Anyway, night." He said closing his eyes.

"Good night Vince." She said closing her eyes with a smile.

(Dream)

Vince opened his eyes to see himself in the same dark starry skied beach with Yume smiling at him. [Hello Vince, are you ready?]

"Yeah, I'm ready." He created a large scythe made out of pure water and spun it in a small arc.

[Good, but this will be the last time you'll be here for a while. Your headaches are starting to become more frequent. If you spend one more night here, the headache will become constant.] Yume warned.

"That's good to know. Anyway, I'll be working on the same thing like I've been doing this past week." Vince said.

[I see. You're going to work on learning how to use a scythe properly. Lately you've working extra hard in learning how to use one properly, is it because of the sniper-scythe that's being created?] She questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, it'll make things easier for me, if I can use one without hurting myself." He replied with a nod.

[That's understandable and it would cause problems if you accidently hurted someone while using it.] Yume added.

"Pretty much."

(I'm not a master at using a scythe but at least I improved a bit, compared to when I first started in here. I almost chopped off my own head.) Vince thought as he began to swung his scythe in a 180 degree angle.

He then slashed upwards with his scythe and followed up with a downward swing. Vince began to spun his water shaped scythe in front of him before swinging his scythe downwards on a palm tree, which easily sliced it in half. "How was that Yume?"

[It was pretty good compared to your first attempt, you almost decapitated yourself.] Yume stated with a sheepish smile before she continued. [I'm not a scythe wielder, but I can see that when you swing you scythe, your weight is off balance. Try fixing that.]

"Right."

For the rest of the night in the dream Vince focused purely on working fixing his balance and working on his form. Eventually he was able to properly balance himself while using his scythe.

Vince lied down on the sand breathing heavily as the water scythe next to him dispersed. "...I think I finally got the feeling of using a large scythe."

Yume smiled as she sat down next to him and began to massage his back. [You did great Vince. I can tell that you can use a scythe without hurting yourself or others.]

"You sure?" He asked sighing.

[I'm sure. From what I know learning how to use a scythe is difficult, you may not have mastered it but you've made good progress on it.] She replied with a smile.

Vince let out a small smile as he felt Yume's hands on his back. "Thanks Yume."

[No problem. Now get some rest, remember you won't be able to come here for a few days until you're mentally relaxed okay? Coming here puts a strain on your mind.] Yume advised.

"Right, goodnight Yume." He said closing his eyes.

[Goodnight Vince.] Yume smiled and kissed him on his cheek.

(Next Day: Morning)

Vince woke up flinching in pain as he looked around. (It's morning. Damn, Yume wasn't kidding the strain feels like I have a hangover.)

He then looked down and noticed one of his hand holding Rias' back closely, while his other hand was on her ass. Vince blushed a little at the as he felt the firmness of her ass. (Sheesh, did Rias put my hand their, or am I really like that when I'm asleep?)

[Good morning Vince.] Yume greeted with a yawn.

Her eyes immediately shot open as she the postion Vince is currently in. [Vince, I know that you're a healthy teenager but you shouldn't act on your hormones.]

"I woke up like this Yume." He said as his eye twitched in annoyance.

[Oh.]

Rias yawned as she rubbed her eyes, Vince quickly took advantage and got his hands away from her. She opened her eyes and smiled at him. "Good morning Vince."

"Morning Rias."

Rias yawned as she got up and stretched, causing her breasts to bounce as a result. Vince sighed at the view but got up and moved his neck, causing it to make a cracking sound.

She then looked at Vince and smiled seductively. "You're really affectionate when you fall asleep Vince. As soon as you fell asleep you hugged me closely, you even groped my butt too."

Vince looked away as his face turned red from embrassment as he found out the revelation about himself. (Dammit, I can't believe I do that in my sleep!)

"Fufufu, we should sleep together more often Vince." She said smiling.

"I'll pass." He walked into the bathroom and shut the door, still embrassed from what just happened.

[You shouldn't tease Vince like that Rias-san.] Yume said sighing.

"I can't resist. It's so hard too tease him like this." Rias answered as she got dressed.

A few minutes later Vince walked out the bathroom, dressed in his school uniform. "I'm done. You can use the bath Rias."

"Thank you, I'll be making breakfest after I've finished." She stated, walking into the bathroom.

Vince sighed as he got out a book from his shelf and started reading, while walking into the kitchen. (I hope something messed up doesn't happen today.)

[What are you doing Vince?] Yume asked curiously.

"Taking out the ingredients for Rias to use. It'll make the cooking a bit faster." He replied as he took out the ingredients from the refrigerator and pantry, while still reading his book.

A few minutes later Rias came out of the bathroom, now dressed in her school uniform. She walked into the kitchen and blinked at seeing the ingredients already set up. Rias then looked at Vince and smiled. "Thanks for setting up the ingredients for me Vince."

Vince nodded as he turned a page from his book, completely immersed in his book.

(Afterschool: ORC Clubroom)

Vince leaned against the wall with his eyes glued to his book. As soon as he walked in he was bombarded with question about Kiba from Issei surprisingly, while Asia, Koneko and Akeno listened intently. After giving an abridged story on what happened the other night, he leaned against the wall and read his book.

A ringtone from a cellphone started to sound off. Everyone immediately looked at Vince who pocketed his book and answered the call. "Yeah? Oh hello, Helena."

The club members looked at Vince and noticed his expression changed through the call from slightly annoyed to serious, he sighed and nodded. "Alright then, I'll be there as soon as I can Helena."

Vince hung up and pocketed his cellphone, he then turned to Rias. "I'll be out. Don't wait up for me."

"Vince, what happened?" Rias asked curiously.

"I have to pick up something and then do an errand." He replied cryptically.

"Ara, what kind of errand is that Vince-kun?" Akeno questioned looking at him.

"An important one Akeno." He commented dryly.

Vince then walked out of the clubroom quickly. (I'll have to go home and change my clothes first. This is important.)

Vince walked into Helena's office, now wearing a sleeveless black shirt with a black hooded jacket that has sliver/white lining along the edges and a pair of long black cargo pants. "Hey Helena, I'm here."

"Hello Vince, it is good to see you." Helena spoke.

Vince nodded and folded his arms. "What exactly happened with Kasumi's clone?"

"She just left a while ago. I told her the location of where Alpha-152 is. Hayate and the others should be there soon." She said showing him a picture of a oil rig.

"Let me guess. You own that oil rig and you want me to go there?" He stated.

"Yes, given her recent behaviour I believe she might try something..." She trailed off.

Vince nodded already knowing what to do. "I got it. I'll stop here and bring her back here."

Helena also nodded, "Be very careful Vince. Kasumi's clone will be relentless in finding Alpha-152."

"Don't worry I will." He reassured.

"There is also one last thing, your request has been finished." Helena took out a rose red colored rectangular shaped frame.

Vince blinked in surprise as he took the object and examined it. "It's finally done?"

"Yes it is. Luckily the notes that you've given me speed up the process of it." She replied.

He nodded as the frame immediately changed and transformed into a large scythe, colored rose red with black trims, with its large scythe blade forged into a crescent shape. "Well, this is nice."

The scythe changed into a medium-length bolt-action rifle. Vince continued to examined it until he pressed a small switch and it changed into the rectangular shaped frame. "Thanks a lot Helena."

"You are welcome Vince. Be very careful with it okay?" Helena commented.

"I will." He placed the frame into the side of his back. (I already like this weapon. Crescent Rose. And it looks like it has the two hundred and thirity rounds capacity I asked for, not bad.)

Vince turned to Helena, "I'll be going now. Bye."

(DOATEC: Oil Rig)

Vince's eyes widened as he saw the entire oil rig engulfed in flames as a helicopter just above it. "Just what the hell happened here?!"

[Nevermind that Vince, you have to go find Kasumi's clone before it's too late.] Yume stated seriously.

"Yeah, you have a point. But I can't get there normally." Vince then jumped into the ocean, he stood on top of the water using his abilities and quickly skated across the water as fast as he could.

"Damn, this whole place is on fire. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to bring anything that could cause this?" He commented as he continued to skated across the water.

[It probably has to do with the fact Alpha-152 is there.] She answered.

"Create a secret lab inside of a fucking oil rig. Yeah, I'm sure nothing bad possibly happened." Vince snarked.

'BOOM!'

As he said that a loud explosion happened and a piece of flaming debris flew out and fell towards him. Vince took out his Crescent Rose in it's sniper form and fired a round at the debris.

The debris was easily destroyed from the round, but Vince was forcibly shoved back from the recoil of the shot. "Damn, that's a powerful recoil."

[You did ask for the recoil to be included.] Yume commented with a sigh.

"I know, but it's make things easier for me." Vince changed his weapon into it's scythe form and started firing rounds to propel himself forward using the recoil.

Vince turned the weapon back into it's travel form, after placing it into his back. He quickly ran up the poles, with his feet channeling electricity. (It's good that I can charge myself with enough lightning turn my body into a magnet to stick to poles and walls.)

After jumping up off of the poles he quickly ran inside the oil rig and looked for anyone there. He coughed as he inhaled the smoke into his lungs. (It doesn't look like Kasumi's clone isn't here. Better look somewhere else.)

Vince quickly ran out of the oil rig and looked around. "Yume can you sense where Kasumi's clone is?"

[Yeah, she's near you Vince. Keep an eye out for her.] Yume informed him in a serious tone.

He nodded and quickly ran around while avoiding the flaming debree from falling on top of him. (Where is she?)

Vince continued to look for Kasumi's clone until he found her lying down on the floor in a pool of her own blood. His eyes widened as he quickly went to her. "Kasumi!"

'BOOM!'

The force of the explosion shoved both of them away. Thinking quickly Vince grabbed her body and created a large hand made out water, stopping them from being moved an further. The water hand immediately dispersed as Vince gently placed her down on the ground and touched her chest. "Damn, this isn't good, she's hemorrraging a lot from her stomach and back. Not to mention she's losing her pulse."

[You'll have to give her treat her wounds and get her pulse back.] She answered seriously.

"I know, I don't have much experience in healing and I'm no Asia, but I'll do what I can." Vince took out his cellphone and pressed a button on it, causing his eyes to turn silver, signalfying that he's currently an angel.

"I'll have to use White Water because of it's healing properties." Vince stated.

[Clean up the blood first and then focus on her wounds.] Yume suggested.

"Right, but I'll have to cut open her clothes first so I can have better view and more space for the wounds so I can treat it." Vince created a water shaped scissor, he began to immediately cut open her clother and created a ball of white water from his palm. He placed it on her stomach as the water immediately soaked up the blood. He quickly tossed the bloody ball of water away and repeated the process until the blood was cleaned off. "That should do it for now. I'll focus on the-"

He was immediately cut off as another explosion happened Vince quickly ducked, narrowly avoiding get hit in the head with a metal pipe that was on fire. "Dammit, I won't be able to work under these conditions!"

[Try to create something that will protect the two of you from getting hit.] She advised.

Vince brought his hands together and created a dome made out of white water, covering both himself and Kasumi's clone. "Much better."

"Hrm..." He looked at her body and his eyes widened when she started convulsing.

[Vince, she's going into cardiac arrest, do something!] Yume shouted.

"Dammit, clone or not you're not leaving Kasumi!" Vince channeled white lightning into his hands and placed them on her chest and pumped her body with the white lightning.

As soon as Vince stopped channeling white lightning into her, she started to breath slowly. He sighed as he created a medium-sized patch, made out of white lightning. He placed it on the long deep cut on her stomach. "This should help, the patch is embedded with White Lightning. The electricity from it will stimulate the molecules in her body to help accelrate the her healing process in that area. But it'll take some time for it to take effect, I don't want to overload her molecules with the electricity. Especially since White Lightning is very potent."

[That's good. You should try treating the other wounds in the meantime.] She commented.

"I will, I'll need to check for any other wounds before I treat her back though." Vince examined her and noticed a cut across her heart, that was bleeding.

"Looks like I made the right choice and checked. I'll begin the treatment now." He created a ball of white water and used it to clean up the blood before tossing it away after finishing.

Vince created another medium-sized shaped patch out of white lightning and placed it on the wound. "That should take of the front."

[Check on the other patch before moving to her back.] Yume said.

"I know." He checked the patch across and noticed that it was gone along with most of the cut, leaving only a red mark.

(Good, it's not perfect but at least it's mostly healed.) Vince thought as he gently turned her around to face her back.

'BOOM!'

A piece of debree bashed into the dome of white water, nearly breaking through. (Damn, that's not going to hold long. I better hurry up with the treatment.)

Vince quickly looked at her back and flinched at the deep cut that is across her back. Blood continued to pour out of the wound. "Whoever did this to her obviously wanted to kill her. The only question is who?"

He quickly created a ball of white water to soak up the blood from the wound. Once finished Vince tossed it away and created another white lightning shaped-patch. He placed it on her back and breathed a sigh of relief. "That should do it."

[Vince, something isn't right. She doesn't seem to be stablized try checking her pulse.] Yume suggested.

Vince nodded and gently turned Kasumi's clone over again. He checked her pulse and his eyes narrowed. "Damn, her pulse is getting weaker along with her breathing. I can't use anymore electricity otherwise, I could potentially overload her with it and kill her."

[Aim for the center of her chest and start using chest compressions. It should help her breathe better, afterwards use your White Water to heal any internal injuries she might have in her chest.] She explained.

"Right, thanks." Vince brought his hands together, placed it the center of her chest and started push straight down. "Come on, work..."

After a few moments Kasumi's clone started coughing a bit, causing Vince to let go and check her pulse. "She breathing better now. I'll begin the internal treatment in her chest."

[Be careful Vince, you're starting to lost a lot of energy trying to maintain the dome along with your angel form and healing her.] Yume said in a concerned tone.

At that moment Vince's eye color momentarily changed from silver to black. He shook his head and coated his hands in white water. "I know that, I'll try to make this as quick as possible."

He placed his hands at the center of her chest again and began healing her. His hands slightly glowed from the white water as a bead of sweat fell down from his face. "You're not going to die, I'll make sure of it."

'BOOM!'

A piece of the roof collasped and fell on top of the dome harshly, causing it to have multiple cracks all over it. Vince let out a curse as he tried to concetrate solely on healing Kasumi's clone.

[This isn't good. The place is going to collapse soon, Vince hasn't finished healing Kasumi's clone and he's exhausted.] Yume muttered worriedly.

The white water from Vince's hands faded as his eyes turned back to black and the dome of white water completely shattered before disappearing. "There, she should be stablized now. Though I'm nearly out of energy."

Vince breathed heavily as he wiped for the sweat from his head. He took off his black hooded jacket and used it to cover her. "That should do it for now. I'll have to get out of here now, this place is going to-"

'BOOM!'

A loud explosion happened, the force of it caused a piece of flaming debree to hit Vince directly in the stomach, impaling him as he fell to the floor. "Gaah! Urgh..."

[Vince!]

"Dammit..." Vince got up from the floor coughing up blood and forcibly removed the debree from his stomach with his hands, causing more blood to pour from the wound. He noticed a another piece of falling debree going towards Kasumi's clone. He quickly dove in near her and created a shield made out of water to protect them. (Shit, I'm nearly out of energy.)

The shield broke Vince quickly got on top of Kasumi's clone and shielded her with his back as he screamed out in pain. "Aaaargh!"

[Vince please you've got to get out of there now!] Yume shouted.

"I'm trying here!" Vince tried getting up but fell to the floor. "Goddammit!"

[Vince behind you, look out!] Yume yelled in distress.

Vince turned around to see a tank rupture causing an enormous amount of blue liquid come out at him. He quickly used the water to cover himself and Kasumi's clone from another explosion that just occured, but the explosion easily hitted Vince, who quickly used his body to shield her. (Wait, that's liquid coolant. It's probably used to cool down the machines since this is an oil rig. Urgh, I can feel my body going numb.)

He got up staggering, breathing heavily as he glared at the tattoo on his hand. "Work! You stupid Sacred Gear, give me the strength I need!"

'BOOM!'

The tattoo on Vince's hand glowed a bright silver blue color suddenly. The explosion was about to hit both Vince and Kasumi's clone but to his surpise the liquid coolant immediately rose up in front of him and froze completely as a small dome made out of ice appeared in front of Kasumi's clone, blocking most of the explosion for the two.

"...Can't go on." Vince fell to the floor and collapsed due to the exhaustion and his injuries.

[Vince, no! Wake up!] Yume shouted as he was unresponsive.

A few moments later, Kasumi's clone groaned painfully as she got up from the sound of Yume shouting and looked around. "I'm alive, but how?"

She looked down and noticed most of her wounds were healed along with her clothes cut open but was covered by a black hooded jacket. Kasumi's clone then looked ahead and her eyes widened greatly as she saw Vince collasped on the metal floor with him covered in a small pool of blood from his earlier stomach injury and bruises, with his clothes mostly burned or ripped off. "Vince! What happened?!"

Kasumi's clone quickly went to him as Yume spoke up. [You have to get Vince and get out of here, the place won't hold for long and he'll die soon if he stays here any longer.]

She took a step back in surprise and quickly looked around. "Who's there?!"

[I'll explain later! Just grab Vince and get out of here before he dies!] Yume yelled.

Kasumi's clone nodded seriously, she grabbed Vince and disappeared with him in a small swirl of cherry blossoms just moments before the entire oil rig exploded consuming everything in a violent fiery explosion.

Authors Notes: Now that was one hell of chapter. So much stuff has happened to Vince in this chapter, he's been really busy and now for the explanations.

As shown in the dream Vince has been practicing with a make-shift scythe made from his Sacred Gear so he could properly wield the Sniper-Scythe when it was finished. He isn't a master at wielding a scythe but Vince is good enough so that he doesn't accidently hurt someone while using it.

Vince did Crescent Rose from RWBY in this chapter and I've done my best to describe what all of the forms look like. From now on, I'll just be stating what form it's in instead of describing what it looks like constantly. It'll save me headache if I do this.

As for the scene with Vince in the oil rig. As you can see his involvement did change quite a bit that happened in the Dead Or Alive story. Considering that it's Kasumi's clone he would be worried and try his best to save her life.

I thought it would be a good twist to add Vince trying to heal Kasumi's clone from the verge of death so I added that in. The reason why that he was so exhausted is because he had to maintain his angel form and the dome of White Water to protect themselves from falling debree all the while healing her clone to make sure that she's alive. It was also stated in earlier chapters that healing takes a lot of concentration and quite a bit of energy. Considering how severe her wounds were it was kind of expected he would be very exhausted and weak.

And finally, Vince's Sacred Gear, Element Brand did react to his desire and give him something to help him out. The explanations on what that was will be in the next chapter.
