Auction To Save Life

"So Rick, what's your thoughts on this matter?"

Rick sat on his chair with a fed up look on his face as he tapped on the table with his finger, "Tch, that useless younger brother of mine... he keeps causing trouble where ever he goes. You can teach him a lesson if you want to as long as you don't kill or cripple him permanently.

As for your guess about serums, you're right. He did inject himself with a mid grade potion but it was back when he was eleven years old. The side effects are different compared to the ones I sell currently but based on the time he took the serum, his physical abilities could have reached the top of mid grade by now.

The only reason kids are not allowed to take serums is because the fatality rate is higher. At the age of 16, it's minimal but 18 is the safest as there is no chance of death. The only advantage of giving kids a serum is that their physical prowess improves until they turn eighteen. This is just an approximate estimation but it's close to the truth. It's like growing tall... some grow until their twenty or more, so there's that.

Also, if it's possible, can you get him to focus on studies more? I wasn't able to get a degree or permit due to problems with resources and my criminal history. I regret the things I did when I was young and I don't want to see my brother go down the same path."

Liam nodded as he welcomed the new information in his mind, "Understood. You did give me a good discount so I guess I'll have to do my best to change his mind and motivate him. I'll see you later then."

Outside the lab, he took out his phone and glanced at the notifications that gave him avatar creation cards before ignoring them completely. Instead, he searched for Aron's number and called him without any hesitation.

After waiting for a few seconds, the call was picked up, "Hello, sir Aron. The coast is clear, you can get your son a serum but it'll be better to not give it to him straight away. Instead, buy one of the healing serums so that he can heal faster.

Training is more effective when you're weak and serums work way better when a person has a fit body. Laron is scrawny so it'll be better to wait until he trains and gets physically strong on his own effort."

"Understood, and thank you. I'll send you the advance and until my son is ready, I'll pay you a certain amount every month. As for the amount needed for training him, like resources and stuff like that, just tell me about it and I'll transfer the money to you. Every month, I'll pay you 40,000 rudo and once the job is done, I'll transfer 200,000."

"Thank you for your generosity, sir Aron.", he said and hung up before he headed back to the internet cafe.

Just as he was about to enter his room, he got a notification. He silently walked inside and closed the door before he checked the message.

Bank XXYYXX: 100,000 Rudo have be successfully deposited to your account from Acc No 70845XXXX

"Damn, I didn't really ask about the pay but this is quite a lot. Though it's kinda time consuming, it'll be good for me too since I just have speed and strength. I need techniques and experience to be able to use my strength to the full extent.... I made 75,000 rudo for myself if I consider the 65,000 going to Robert and I made so much money in just a few days..."

Tired from running around everywhere and talking to a lot of people, he silently laid down and in a matter of seconds, was fast asleep.

"Hey hey, don't kill me! I'll pay you double of what you were paid!! Please!", a middle ages man asked as he looked up at the masked man in front of him. A beautiful woman in skimpy clothes sat beside him with a terrified expression on her face.

Liam looked down at the man, "You're a well established business man and have a loving wife. Yet, you go ahead and cheat on her... don't you think you brought this upon yourself?"

"I... I said I'll pay you double!"

Saying nothing, Liam took out his disposable phone and dialed one of the only two numbers that were saved on the phone.

After waiting for a few seconds, he spoke, "Miss Hui Min, it's auction time."

Right after he spoke, he put the call on loud speaker.

"Is that cheating bastard trying you win you over with money?", a mature female voice came out of the phone, making the man's anger pop out.

Before he could say something, Liam pushed the pistol into his mouth, "Yes, miss Hui Min, he did exactly as you said so I decided to let you guys fight over his life with money. The one who pays me the most will have their wish fulfilled!"

"You evil bastard...", the woman said while Liam pulled the pistol out of the man's mouth.

"Alright, the auction starts at 200,000 rudo. You can raise the price by 100,000 rudo as the minimum so let the auction begin!", he said excitedly, which only made the man in front of him grit his teeth in anger.

Clenching his fist, the man went ahead first, "Three Hundred thousand."

"Heh, you're stingy as always. One million! Once you're dead, I'll have hundreds of millions under my name so I don't mind spending a fraction of what will be mine.", the voice from the phone said with a tone of playfulness mixed in.

The man took a deep breath and looked up at Liam with a serious look on his face, "I'm willing you give you half of what I own. Properties, money ask for what you want and you'll get it. All I ask in return is to spare me and Ya Jing. My wife never treated me right and always wanted to boss me around. There is no way I'll let her have her way."
