VALENCIA'S POV
"What the hell are you doing here?" I saw raw fear in Theo's eyes, and a smile appeared on my face.
Why was I here? Because I stupidly thought I would be able to save my friend from a pack full of orthodox psychos that are protected by forest spirits.
But could I say these words when a sword hung over my head? Of course not.
That's why I smiled at him and flicked his nose through the bars between us.
"How could I not? I told you you are not getting rid of this slavery anytime soon," I grinned at him before taking a deep breath.
"You are stupid. Do you even know why I am here? I was acting selfish and didn't think my decision would affect anyone. Oh, moon goddess, what have I done?" Theo started blaming himself, and I sighed.
Holding his hand through the bars, I forced him to look into my eyes.
"Nothing has gone wrong. Not yet, at least. Trust me, will you?" I told him, wanting him to see the belief in my eyes.
