The Life of Cain: Life as the First Son

Sunlight began to peer through the the flap in the opening in my hut as my eyes slowly began to open before I began to rub my eyes.

"Haaaa…" I silently sighed before looking to my right to see my wife, who was also my sister, Awan, cuddling next to me.

Seeing this made me tenderly smile as I brushed the hair from her face, even though I tried to be gentle and not wake her, she moved a bit before yawning and slowly opening her eyes as she smiled in such away that in my eyes it would even eclipse the sun itself.

"Good morning my love." I smiled before I kissed her as she kissed me back.

"It's always a beautiful day to wake up with you in my arms." I said to her to which she just chuckled at that.

"You always say that."

"But it's true you know?…. It makes all the bad things barable with you at my side…." I say sadly while she just holds me close.

"Don't worry dear, the harvest has been bad sure, and maybe the animals aren't doing well but we always pull through." She try's to console me but I sigh even harder at that.

"Awan, we have only been able to get through several winters already with Brother Ables aid, but we can't keep doing this…. I think I need to head north and go on a large hunt, Younger Brother Seth has said that he's seen massive hairy risked beasts in the north, maybe thier meat can appease god and his angels? Maybe then the grains will grow and the harvest will be great and the animals will be healed from their ailments by them when we do that." I said to her from what I had heard from my brother yesterday and I only had the time to tell her now as our children were asleep right now.

"But that's dangerous to hunt such large beasts Cain, I don't want you to get hurt…." She said worriedly but I rubbed the side of her face.

"It will be alright, me and Seth will only hunt them if we can handle this, so don't worry alright? If we can't handle it then we will just hunt deer and stags instead." I said and a bit more back and forth on the topic she relented as she stayed at home to take care of our children as I grabbed my spears and bow before heading out for the hunt.

"Cain! You got Awan's approval Huh?" Seth asked the obvious as he carried his bow and spear as well.

"Well it took a bit of convincing but I got her to agree, you sure of what you saw though because I don't want to run out their and not find this 'Large Tusked Beast' as you called it, because the only tusked beast I know is Boars and while this big, they're not that big." I say as we began heading northwards on foot.

"No, no, no, this thing is huge! As big or maybe even bigger than our tent huts!" Seth said enthusiastically to which I shook my head.

"Well I sure hope so, or else we will have to hunt some boars and stags instead." I say as we chat while we begin our hunt.

"That thing…. Is massive…" I say surprised at the sight of this huge Wooly tusked beast.

"See? I told you it's big and-" but I hold up y hand and get a serious look making Seth get serious as we hide in the bushes as I listen to the sound of rustling bushes.

I point in one direction while holding up my finger to my lips as he nods before suddenly a loud roar rings from the bushes as a large beast leaps from the bushes with its massive fangs as it attacks the huge tusked beast.

The tusked beast let's put a bellow as it thrashes about trying to get the fanged beast off it's back, smashing itself into trees and causing some of them to topple over from the force.

"Wait for them to kill eachother, then we can kill the last one that's alive." I whisper to Seth as he nods before looking at a tree and using my strength in my arms and legs to climb up it while Seth did the same on another one as they were staying in their area of the brawl.

Blood was being spiked as the fanged beasts claws and fangs were cutting into the wooly tusked beasts body, but it was fighting back hard as blood was being spilled on both side.

*Bwwwoooooo!!!*

But the winner in the end was the fanged beast as the tusked beast cried out and fell to the side as the fanged beast had its jaws around its throat draining the life out of it.

Seeing the opportunity both me and Seth took aim and fired upon the Fanged Beast with a rapid firing of arrows thanks to being the first of the humans in existence and thus we are much stronger and faster those that would be born after us, well almost all of us at least.

So before it could react it was filled with arrows leaving both beasts dead on the ground allowing us to claim our prize.

So while unexpected we gained a great haul from both of these beasts, Seth decided to called the fanged one a 'Sabertooth' and I called the large one a 'Woolly Mammoth' and so we used our knives to cut off the skin, fangs, tusks and meat before bundling up everything we could take while leaving the leftover carcasses for the animals of these woods before we headed on back home.

"You think these offerings will appease god and his angels to help my crops grow better brother?" I ask and Seth just smiles.

"Of course brother, these meats will appease them and they will definitely make your crops flourish and your animals plump and healthy in no time at all." Which makes me smile back as we head on home.

Present, Hazbin Hotel, My Bedroom

"But it didn't change a thing, my crops never got better and my animals never improved after the best sacrifice I ever gave god and the angels." I mutter as I was Reminiscing about my life when I was alive.

But I remember what Sera said to me when I gave such a grand sacrifice for god and the angels as she told me herself.

You are the son of Eve, and her sin shall fall onto her first son for what she has done by bringing evil into the world, your crops will never grow properly and your animals will always get sick and die, this is what you must bare…. I'm sorry….

The sons and daughters of Adam would never have that problem though would they? I'm Eve's son alone in heavens eyes where as everyone else was Adam's kids in heavens eyes.

And that was the day I truly lost my faith in god heaven and all his angels, I never offered a sacrifice to them ever again as nothing would change until the day finally came.

The day I killed Able.

I made this as I have wanted to flesh out a bit of Cains backstory and I want to do more of these as the story goes on.

I get that Cain is the extremely powerful guy that's already at the top of the food chain in this story but it's cause of how long he's been within hell that he's so powerful in the first place, since this story didn't start at the beginning of his journey and more like at the end of his journey for strength and power as he is already as powerful as he can be with his powers and strength as is.

It's like One Punch Man in a sense, Saitama was overpowered from the start of the show as the author makes him as, 'taking the shonen protagonist from the end of their story and placing them right at the beginning with all the strengths he had gained by then' it's that type of situation with Cain with how overwhelmingly powerful he is by this point in his story.

Though to be clear he is not the strongest being in his own universe and he can be beaten if he doesn't take things seriously in a dangerous situation then he can be seriously hurt or even killed as a result, but if he needs to be serious he will be.
