The Avengers Who Came To The Door

With the arrival of the appointed time, Caesar used the power of the Space Gem to open an unstable space passage.

"Will there be any discomfort going through this channel?" 

That was definitely outside Caesar's concern.

After all, the Tesseract should only be used by those who can't stabilize the Space Gem.

Thanos sensed the energy wave and gave Loki a knowing glance.

Loki met Thanos's gaze, then, understanding the signal, grabbed the Mind Scepter and entered the wormhole without hesitation.

Loki disappeared into the wormhole.

Beside Thanos, Ebony Maw, the most loyal and powerful of the Black Order, spoke up,

"My great master, should we let him take your treasure?"

"What if he fails to keep his promise after taking it?"

"After all, he is the god of lies and mischief!"

All this time, because of Caesar's remarks, Thanos, who had been relentlessly slaughtering unfamiliar planets to maintain the universe's balance, looked a bit weary.

He deliberately revisited a planet he had decimated hundreds of years ago.

He observed its civilization and found the planet nearly barren, with only a few survivors eking out an existence on what had become a wasteland.

After the massacre, the remaining resources allowed the survivors to multiply more easily.

However, out of fear of another sudden attack from Thanos, they began to indulge themselves and use resources recklessly.

Their fear led to helplessness and reckless behavior.

Eventually, this civilization, along with its planet, met its end.

Thanos watched this unfold coldly and then destroyed the planet entirely.

He continued with his plan, striving to maintain the universe's balance.

This time, however, instead of killing half, he decided to kill three-quarters.

In any case, it would last a bit longer, providing a little more balance.

Thanos thought, and so he acted.

Thanos is indeed a little tired, but his strength and domineering presence cannot be concealed.

"Loki, too weak!"

"Odin is old. He can't protect him, and he won't necessarily protect him. He knows very well that some things can't be done and he knows the consequences! He can't escape!"

Thanos said confidently.

Even if Loki holds a mind scepter and a Tesseract, it won't make Thanos look down upon him any less. Infinite Gems are powerful indeed, but not everyone can unleash their full power. At least, not Loki, in Thanos' eyes.

Not enough.

After Thanos finished speaking, he got up and led Ebony Maw towards Nidavellir.

Loki passed through the unstable space passage in a daze, then rolled over and came to Caesar. Loki took a few steps back subconsciously, then stepped forward again awkwardly.

"My dear brother, can't you stabilize this space channel? I really wonder if I'll be in one piece by the time I get to Midgard!"

Loki was joking with Caesar, trying to soften things up. But Caesar didn't answer, just stared coldly at Loki and the mind scepter in his hand. Loki understood Caesar's intentions. Looking around, he finally shook the mind scepter in his hand. He knew he couldn't resist Caesar no matter what. So he put a smile on his face and handed the scepter to Caesar as a gift.

"My dear brother, I have faithfully fulfilled my agreement with you. Please don't forget my conditions!"

Caesar took the mind scepter and looked at it for a while but did not remove the Mind Gem from the scepter. Right now, he cannot control the power of multiple Infinite Gems at the same time. He needs the artifact that is being forged to use the power of the artifact to control multiple Infinity Gems at the same time.

Seeing that Caesar was only interested in studying the scepter, Loki couldn't help it. With a shy smile, he kept fidgeting in front of Caesar. Caesar came back to his senses, glanced at Loki, with a meaningful smile on his face, and said,

"Relax. I will keep my promise. In five days, I will help you attract Chitauri's fleet."

Hearing Caesar's reassurance, Loki finally relaxed. He believed that there was no need for Caesar to lie to him. Now, just wait five days.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

"The huge energy reaction reappeared, but the duration was short, and the exact location could not be determined," a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent said hurriedly as he looked at the energy response graph on the computer screen.

"Lock a rough range, then check thoroughly," Nick Fury said resolutely. "If you want to use the energy of the Tesseract, you must have a sophisticated laboratory and conduct thorough inspections. They can't escape!"

"That energy is too powerful. HYDRA tried to use it to rule the world. Now, it's emitting a reaction again. We must keep it in the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D. For world peace! Find the Tesseract!"

Nick Fury inspired all the agents, as well as the Avengers who had basically assembled. Captain America's blood boiled, and he wished he could find the Tesseract immediately.

He deeply understands the dangers of HYDRA and the Tesseract.

The Tesseract is too dangerous to fall into unfamiliar hands.

Iron Man and Hulk yawned noncommittally.

They have always had little trust in S.H.I.E.L.D. and high-level government officials.

If it weren't for the increasing danger on Earth, with all the angels and aliens fleeing, Tony wouldn't want to be an Avenger.

He has no need for revenge now.

That mysterious alien god's invitation from a year ago isn't so mysterious anymore.

The invitation from the new Lord still made him uneasy.

He never thought the alien god who offered him a planet as an annual salary would become the new master unexpectedly.

Now, temples and churches around the world are replaced by this god's statue.

Every time Tony sees it, he doesn't know what to say.

Just, that God?

Why did he suddenly give up on continuing to let me work for him?

Tony was puzzled.

Dr. Banner glanced at Iron Man, who also seemed bored. He smiled and walked back to his room.

Because of Black Widow's invitation, he was willing to help protect the Earth.

But he always felt something was not quite right.

World peace?

Can world peace really be protected by the Avengers?

Or does America's peace represent world peace?

And to protect world peace, do you have to control all powerful forces?

Like Hulk, like the Tesseract?

Who knows if they will use the power of Hulk or the Tesseract to protect peace or to make war?

Dr. Banner was puzzled.

He always felt that some of his original experiments and the hatred he had fought with were being manipulated by a mysterious force.

In New York, inside the Church of the New God, Caesar was comprehending the power within himself.

He seemed to have an illusion.

Staying on Earth for a long time had actually caused his soul to grow slightly.

It improved his fine use of solar power and Space gems a lot.

But the arrival of some uninvited guests interrupted his perception.

After several days of investigation, an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. finally found the inside of this new church of God.

There were some exceptions.

Caesar sensed the crowd outside the church.

With a slight smile, he didn't even guess whether the Avengers found it because of HYDRA's effort, or if the Skrulls were secretly supporting it.

He just said to Loki, "The appointed time has come!"
