D-Day 2

Jules' pov

 My eyes instantly widened while my heart flew upwards, only to get stuck in my throat, which prompted me to let out a couple of coughs.

I couldn't see Blaze's face because he had his back facing me, but I could feel irritation oozing from his body in waves, and that made me stiffen even more.

"Tell my father I had no intention of showing up." Blaze's voice was calm as he spoke and I bit on my bottom lips, stomach slowly getting into knots from how nervous I was gradually becoming.

"B- but your highness…" one of the men stuttered just as Blaze stepped back and slammed the door in their face. When he turned around, he rolled his eyes in clear irritation right before our eyes locked.

He cupped my head and tugged me closer.

"Relax, bunny. Nothing's gonna happen." He spoke softly and I let out a slow exhale as I tried to will my racing heart to calm down.
