"89," Kai muttered, already feeling tired.
He smiled and sighed in relief when the ball finally made it in.
"Just 11 more," he said, pushing himself to go further.
[Extra mission for 10 XP!]
[Shoot 100 basketballs in one hour. Only shots that made it in will be considered!]
Kai didn't hesitate to fulfill the extra mission right away, even though it was only for 10 XP.
He even snuck into Richgate to utilize their court once more. He had bypassed the guard when he was busy flirting with one of the maids, and now, he only needed to shoot a few more baskets so he could accomplish this particular mission.
Kai was about to shoot the 100th shot. However, he stopped when he felt the sudden urge to do something different.
With his brute strength, he held onto the ball with only one hand. He looked at it in amazement, his large hand feeling foreign.
Then, without any hesitation, he ran to the ring, not even bothering to dribble the ball.
He jumped with his natural ability; however, he controlled it this time, so his hand was just right above the ring.
'I'm actually doing it,' he thought, excited to dunk his last shot.
When his hand was perfectly aligned to the hole of the ring, he quickly slammed the ball down.
Kai smiled in satisfaction as the ball was released from his hands. However, his smile quickly dropped when the ball didn't go in and instead bounced off before landing on the ground.
He acted quickly and caught the ball before shooting it inside the ring using a lay-up.
[Time is up]
[Successful shots: 100]

[You have gained a new skill: Quantum Leap.]
[Your jump is higher than 80% of basketball players in the country.]
[Develop it and become part of the 1% population!]
Kai raised his eyebrows in surprise once he saw the statistics. That meant his jumping ability was within the top 20% of basketball players in the country!
That, in itself, was already impressive, considering that this body had just started playing basketball.
His thoughts were cut off when he heard the security guard's familiar yelling.
Like it was already in his nature, Kai ran away from the court, leaving the frustrated security guard all alone.
Once he was out of the gated neighborhood, he stuck his tongue out to the guard before journeying back to his home.

The weekend quickly came, which meant that 'League of the Legends: Battle of the Handsome Balls' was now about to start.
As the Shizi High players stepped onto the gated neighborhood, the security guard, whose eyebags were now bigger than the first time Kai had met him, looked at the group with narrowed eyes.
"I caught you now," he said to Kai. "You can't come in here unless you have deliveries."
Kai smirked and showed him their proof of registration for the basketball league.
The guard looked at the piece of paper with furrowed eyebrows.
"They actually let you join?" he whispered, not believing his eyes.
Kai retreated the paper from the guard, his smirk widening.
"We can go now, right?" he asked in a teasing tone, causing the security guard to become silent.
Then, he shook his head as the six troublesome players excitedly entered the gated neighborhood.
"Those boys are going to lose in the first round," the security guard muttered.
"Do you know that guy?" Dylan asked as they walked to the court.
Kai shrugged. "He's a friend, I guess."
With that, they finally arrived at the court.
They were excited about what the new league will bring. However, as they set foot onto the court, they couldn't help but feel a bit out of place.
"I thought you said this was a small league?" Dylan asked, looking around the extravagant court. It was adorned with colorful tarpaulins, and the equipment appeared to be in tip-top shape.
There was a table on the left side, where three important-looking people were sitting. Kai's eyebrows raised in surprise when he saw that one of them was the tall guy that he made deliveries to—the man with the red door!
"Yeah," Sunny nodded in agreement. "This looks so high-end."
"There are so many people, too," Mingze shakily added.
Truly, Kai didn't expect such a huge crowd to come to the league.
From the name itself, it didn't sound like a popular league. However, much to his surprise, the benches were filled to the brim, and some cheerleaders were even practicing routines in the grassy area.
"Is that Sammy Tiu?" Dylan asked with wide eyes, noticing the pretty cheerleader.
Alen, too, gasped when he saw a tall figure standing just right beside the group of cheerleaders.
"And is that Yutong? From Yin Yang High?"
Kai wasn't interested when Dylan noticed the pretty cheerleader. However, when he heard Alen mention a player from Yin Yang High, the supposed winner in the Interhigh Preliminaries last year, he instantly perked up.
Mingze shook his head when he noticed this. It seemed like Kai liked basketball a little too much.
"Is he a player from Yin Yang?" Kai couldn't help but ask.
Alen nodded. "Yeah—a second-string player like us."
"Is he any good?" Kai asked.
Alen shrugged. " Honestly, I don't know. He's a first-year student like us. However, the fact that he got accepted into Yin Yang's team is already a testament to his skill."
Kai nodded as he glanced at Yutong once again. Indeed, he appeared to be skillful despite him being in the second-string team. He honestly wanted to play with their team to see how he would compare.
"The extravagant set-up and the large crowd isn't the only thing that's strange, though," Dylan said, looking around the court.
"Did we stumbled upon a model show or something?" he exclaimed.
"Why do all the players look so handsome?"
